Chapter 104 — Smells like home

Chapter 104 — Smells like home

[Aster]

Both Silvia and Aster sat beside each other, staring into the dark, ominous tunnel that lay beyond their broken barrier. The sounds of running water could be heard faintly from within, echoing off the dark walls. The fire flickering in Aster's hand cast long shadows across their faces, the other, much weaker flame hovering near their sleeping mother. "Should we check what's in there?" Aster asked quietly, glancing at his sister. His mouth and chin still glistened quite a bit with her feminine fluids.

"Nope. Not a chance," Silvia firmly whispered back, shaking her head vigorously. "What if something is living in there? Like that lizard we saw? Or maybe even a whole nest of them, who knows?" Meeting his golden eyes, she noticed what state Aster was still in. "Sorry about earlier... You're... covered in..." she said, pointing at his face, her cheeks growing warmer. "Anyway, I'm sealing everything back up. Just watch the tunnel while I do it," Silvia ordered, trying to get her mind off all her embarrassment.

Wiping some of the wetness away with his forearm, Aster nodded reluctantly, turning his gaze back to that dark tunnel. However, he couldn't help but feel curious about what might be in there. Laying for two days straight and doing nothing wasn't exactly enjoyable, especially next to a frozen pile of poop. 'A bit risky... but it's worth checking,' he thought before speaking up again. "What if it's just a tiny stream of water, like the one we saw while walking? It would be really stupid if we stayed here for days, or even an entire week, while it was right next to us," Aster whispered, feeling dirty and sweaty from their earlier activities.

He wanted to bring up her second favor and ask what the hell just happened right before the barrier broke. The way her hips moved against his face refused to leave his mind, how she pressed so hard that he thought he would die from lack of air, how her juices overflowed his mouth and nose... His shaft leaked a bit more precum at the thought, making Aster squirm uncomfortably.

'Gods, this was... weird. And wrong. But I guess she just needed some relief,' he concluded, feeling bad for her. He didn't even realize that her needs were almost identical to his, yet only he had received help from their mother, while she was on her own.

"Asty..." Silvia sighed heavily, interrupting the boy's thoughts. She shook her head at him once again, about to say something disapproving about the idea of going inside, but his childish voice interrupted her.

— "Or, it could be a way out, too. Just think about it," Aster added, looking into her golden eyes with a little hope in his. "It might be flowing from outside or something."

Biting down on her lower lip, the girl hesitated before answering, "It's too risky, Asty. I'm sorry, but we can't. Mom would kill me if anything happened to you in there." Taking a deep breath, she focused on igniting her mana to repair the broken barrier.

Watching her do so, Aster took a moment to think it through before speaking up again. "How about I use my strengthening spell and take a peek inside, around that corner? If it goes deeper, we will just stay here like you suggested," he asked, pointing at the darkness with his hand that held the flame. "You can hold onto my ankles, so if something happens there, you can pull me back out. Should be pretty easy, no?"

Silvia took a deep breath and gazed into the cave's depths for a long moment before speaking again, nodding slowly. "Fine, but only a tiny bit. If you see something moving or hear anything unusual, tell me immediately, alright? I'll pull you back out and seal us away," she said firmly. Her golden eyes followed every curve and line on Aster's face in the soft glow of fire.

— "Yes, ma'am," he smiled at her, giving a playful salute before taking another deep breath to prepare himself for the upcoming pain. He began igniting more of his mana and used it all on the strengthening spell. No longer than a minute later, every muscle in Aster's skinny body started burning because of it, pain coursing through his veins like wildfire. Yet his youthful face showed no discomfort as he was used to it; only the gentle glow of his golden eyes showed that something unusual was happening. "Alright... I'm ready," Aster whispered confidently, facing the entrance.

"Just remember... if anything goes wrong, shout as loud as you can, okay?" Silvia asked again just to be sure he understood. "I swear, if something happens to you..." she trailed off, unable to find words to finish the sentence. Every possible worst-case scenario flashed before her eyes, causing her young heart to skip a beat. "I've changed my mind. This is a terrible idea—" she attempted to mumble, but Aster simply leaned in, gave her a quick peck on the lips, and flashed a reassuring smile that said, It's going to be fine" before plunging into the darkness headfirst.

"Astyyyy!" the girl hissed quietly after him, grabbing both of his ankles before he could disappear from her sight completely. His butt was now the only thing she could see now, swaying gently from side to side, its tiny butthole winking at her in rhythm with his movements as Aster began crawling deeper and deeper into the cave using only his fire spell and glowing eyes to illuminate the way.

The rocks were even darker than usual here, almost completely black, digging painfully into the boy's knees and forearms. One little and very careful shuffle after another, he made his way further inside, trying his best not to scrape his shoulders or hips against the rough surface of the tunnel. His skin was just as tender and smooth as his sister's and mother's, so any contact with these jagged walls could easily leave nasty bruises and cuts behind.

Finally reaching the corner he was crawling towards, Aster took a moment to listen carefully for anything unusual. Meanwhile, Silvia had to lean quite deeply inside so her little brother's ankles would stay within her reach. "Everything alright?" she whispered after a few seconds, worry creeping into her high-pitched voice.

— "Mhm..." Aster hummed softly, finally daring to peek around the corner. He took a cautious glance, just one eye, ready to pull back if anything sprang at him unexpectedly, like that creepy lizard from before. What greeted him was simply a continuation of the tunnel, slightly narrower but much longer than his current spot. At its end, a faint blue glow was visible, reflecting off the walls of another turn. Almost as if a clear summer sky awaited them on the other side. "Holy..." Aster breathed in awe, nearly losing control of the flame hovering above his hand.

"What is it?!" Silvia asked from behind him again, sounding even more anxious now. She was about to pull him back, but to her surprise, he started crawling backwards on his own, covered head-to-toe in dirt and dust. "What happened? Are we in danger?" she questioned yet again, helping him get up onto the bed when they were finally out.

The boy took a moment to gulp nervously before whispering excitedly back, "I think I saw a sky." His sister's golden irises darted between his own in disbelief, trying to see whether he was joking. It didn't look like it.

...

The next twenty minutes were spent discussing whether or not it would be a good idea for them to crawl deeper and investigate the light Aster had seen. They both didn't want to leave their mother alone in here, but at the same time, they desperately wanted to get out, feel the sun on their faces, breathe fresh air, and live without fear that something might jump at them from the shadows and rip their heads off.

The final argument they used was about how cool it would be for Nivalis to wake up outside instead of here. To forget this place like a bad dream. Silvia was a bit more grumpy about it, but Aster managed to convince her that they would just take a quick peek and come back immediately. All in complete silence, with all the mana ignited inside their chests, they could muster. To ensure their mother's safety, he also created another flame near her, one that would last for at least a few hours.

"Ready?" Silvia asked as they both crouched at the tunnel entrance, their flat, naked chests thudded with anxiety and mana coursing inside. The girl shivered slightly, goosebumps rising all over her pale, smooth skin.

Nodding at her, Aster's voice came out barely a whisper, "I am." A little idea popped into his head just then, making him add, "Once we got closer to where I saw that light, how about you use your mana to freeze everything ahead of us? It was quite narrow in there so it shouldn't take much mana," he suggested quietly, meeting her golden gaze. "Just to be safe."

"Yeah, good idea. Who knows what could be glowing down there," she replied with a gulp, trying not to think too much about the possibilities. "Alright, I'm going—" she started, but Aster shook his head before she could even finish that sentence.

— "Nope, I'll go first. My fire is much faster to cast than your ice. Once we reach the spot, just crawl over me and do your thing," he said with a small smile, trying to look confident. Aster was nervous, of course, but had a good feeling about what awaited them at the end of that tunnel. As silly as it sounded, there was no way something evil could be glowing like that. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be cautious, though.

After one last glance at their mother resting peacefully and a few more seconds of hesitation, Silvia nodded reluctantly. She moved aside to let Aster enter the tunnel first, watching how he crawled into the darkness, feeling incredibly anxious as she did so. The girl quickly followed after him, his little butt almost bumping into her face. She could hear his soft breathing and the rustle of rocks as he made his way forward in the cramped space.

After taking a turn where he had previously stopped, Aster led them through the winding tunnel toward the soft, blue glow at its end. Slowly but surely, the tunnel started getting narrower, rocks painfully digging into their knees and arms. Aster's butt even hit Silvia's face once when he shuffled deeper. No one said anything about it; they were too scared to talk. 'Mom will be okay... the light will protect her,' he thought as his eyes focused on the brightness ahead.

Finally, after many long moments of painful crawling, Aster stopped, causing another bump with his sister's face, much to her annoyance. Silvia let out a quiet huff, trying to look over him and see what was there, but it was too cramped. Only when he lay on the ground to let her through did she notice the light, which was blue as the sky, just as he had said. Her heart fluttered in her chest, and a tiny smile appeared on her lips. It could be really good news for them.

It was way too uncomfortable for Aster to lie on his belly, feeling his ribs pressing uncomfortably against sharp rocks with each breath, so he had no other choice but to lie on his back. The girl had to carefully make her way over him, pressing her small, smooth body against his own in the process.

She could feel his throbbing penis sliding against her collarbone, then lower between her small breasts that were still years away from starting to develop. Her belly and navel slid right over it next, making Aster gasp quietly at the sensation. It was just as hard and slippery as before when he humped himself against her butt half an hour ago, but she ignored it to the best of her ability, concentrating on the task—freezing everything ahead so nothing could jump on them.

Aster watched from underneath how Silvia placed both hands against the walls and closed her eyes, brows furrowed as she focused, her flat chest heaving against his own with each deep breath she took. Frosty smoke began seeping from between her fingers as they pressed harder against the rocks, and soon enough, the walls started frosting over with a thin layer of ice.

Slowly, it spread further towards the light, not leaving out even the tiniest crevice or crack in the rocks. It glistened in the flickering glow of her little brother's fire spell and eyes, reflections dancing across the surface like stars in a night sky. It was quite beautiful to look at, her magic.

A few minutes passed as the two children lay motionless, Aster with his trembling sister on top of him. Her hands remained firmly against the icy walls, breathing heavily against his ear, eyes shut tight. "It's done..." she eventually whispered, taking a few more deep breaths to recover from all the mana she had spent.

Slowly, Silvia crawled back over Aster, letting his throbbing shaft brush all over her once again in the process. His boyish smell clung to her skin, making her face flush slightly.

Once his sister was behind him again, Aster slowly rose back on his knees. Carefully, he crawled deeper towards where that blue glow was coming from. The ice rocks were freezing to the touch, and the air grew colder and colder with each shuffle forward. When he finally peeked around the corner from where it was shining, his face instantly grew sad.

It wasn't a sky, like he had hoped it would be. No more than three steps away, the tunnel opened up into an ordinary, natural cavern—not very big—adorned with random childish carvings on some of the walls. Simple stick figures mostly, hands and feet crudely drawn in, even a bit of text here and there, but it hardly reminded him of any language he knew.

Blue crystals of various sizes grew from the ceiling, radiating that beautiful blue light that was so alluring to look at. In one corner, a small pool of water bubbled gently, steam rising softly from its surface. Green moss clung to some of the stones surrounding it, adding a touch of nature to the scene. A soft smell of sulfur wafted through the tunnel into his nose, a smell he knew all too well, as the hot spring from their old home smelled the same.

His expression shifted from sadness to wonder, mixed with a fair bit of confusion. This was way too peaceful for the dark and gloomy place they had found themselves in; it was certainly not what he had expected after all the horrors they had been through recently. 'Cave paintings... here? Who could have made these? Did someone really live here once?' Aster pondered as his golden eyes darted between the carvings on the walls and the blue crystals above.

Silvia, not wanting to whisper anything, tapped him four times on his butt. It meant 'everything alright?', a little sign they made beforehand, just in case. Aster wasn't sure how to respond, so he tapped back three times for 'I don't know. ' For the next five minutes, they did nothing but listen and wait, breathing quietly.

Reluctantly, he tapped her six times, signaling her to switch places with him. Silvia did just that and carefully crawled over him, her petite body pressing tightly against his once again, making his shaft slide along her fair skin for the third time today. Because she had used her magic earlier, her trembles were even worse now, teeth chattering, barely audible. Once she was on top of Aster, the girl finally got to look at the source of that mysterious glow around the corner, all while ignoring the constant throbbing against her belly.

Pressing his lips tightly against her pointed ear, Aster whispered, "It does look like a hot spring in there, see?" he mumbled quietly, his breath making her squirm slightly. "And I hear nothing moving inside, which is a good sign. Should we take a closer look?"

Silvia took a moment to consider it before replying with the barest whisper of voice, "Mom could use a soak, for sure... It might help with her nightmares and maybe even wake her up." She took another deep breath, looking down at him. "And it doesn't look really dangerous... But, I dunno. Asty, I don't like taking risks this big," she added, her golden eyes full of worry. "And letting you go first is just... ugh."

— "Alright..." Aster whispered, reaching up to gently stroke her silver locks with his bandaged fingers. "How about we wait a bit longer and listen? At least twenty minutes?" he suggested after a brief silence. "After that, if everything seems okay, we will slowly get closer. Deal?"

The girl didn't answer, only sighed heavily and rested her head against his shoulder. Her gaze was fixed on the blue crystals above, and she listened to the steady bubbling sound from within the cave.

For twenty long minutes, they remained motionless in that cramped space of a tunnel, pressed tightly against each other, surrounded by ice. Yet no matter how much they strained their ears or focused intently, nothing moved inside nor made any suspicious sounds.

However, when the time was up, Silvia refused to move behind him again. Her trembling fingers gripped his shoulders tightly as she imagined all the horrors that could await them beyond that corner. The boy nudged her gently, but she shook her head, sending her silver locks dancing around their faces. "I'll go first," she whispered in a shaky voice.

With a small sigh, Aster mumbled quietly, "Then... how about we do it together? Just... push ourselves with our feet and crawl forward?" He showed an example by lifting his legs in the air and then pushing off with them. The rocks beneath him weren't that sharp now that her ice covered everything. "Should anything jump on us, we'll instantly burn and freeze it alive. How does that sound?"

The girl offered him a smile, though a trace of worry still flickered in her eyes as she nodded in response. With that, Aster started to move further into the tunnel, pushing himself along with his bare feet and toes. Silvia, still on top of him, did the same—her small soles sliding against the icy surface of the surrounding rocks.

Finally, after a lot of awkward wiggling, their naked bodies sliding against each other, heads bumping into rocks here and there in the process, the siblings arrived at the entrance to that mysterious cave. It looked empty—no sign of movement, no sounds, just faint splashing of water coming from the pool. An incredibly good sign was that it didn't lead to any other tunnel or cave deeper into the cave system. It was just a natural chamber with nothing else to worry about.

For now, though, they decided to remain at the entrance and stay motionless for another while, patiently waiting for something to appear. They could feel the hot air coming from the spring, filling their noses with that unique smell they both knew and loved. It was much warmer here than the cold they had gotten used to over the past few weeks.

Aster was the first to wiggle inside, landing softly onto his bare feet before he helped Silvia out of the tunnel. Both children remained completely silent, their skinny bodies painted in gentle blue by those crystals on the ceiling. "It looks safe..." Aster whispered, not daring to make a single step from her as they stood at the entrance.

Silvia kept looking around, inspecting every nook and cranny of this place before finally nodding hesitantly in agreement with him. "Yeah, it does..." she whispered, holding onto that tiny shard she prepared beforehand, ready to be launched at anything that moved. "Something could be in the water, so be careful. And those drawings... It's all very strange," she added, the tremble of her petite frame not going away.

Aster nodded and took a step closer to the pool. "I'll check it," he whispered, his voice barely audible above the steady bubbling sound. The closer he got, the hotter it felt against his skin. 'Please be empty... please be empty,' he kept repeating as he leaned down and peered inside. Carefully so, ready to jump back at any moment.

But there was nothing in that crystal-clear water. No creature lurking beneath its surface or anything else to worry about. It looked incredibly inviting, the perfect temperature for a nice, relaxing soak after all the stress they had been through lately. His reflection stared back at him, all pale and dirty. "Seems alright..." Aster murmured quietly, hearing his sister let out a relieved sigh behind him.

When she was sure that everything was okay, Silvia began walking around the cave cautiously. With each minute, her posture grew more confident as she didn't find anything unusual or dangerous here, just those strange carvings and drawings around them. Outlines of small hands caught her attention the most, as they were even smaller than hers.

"Someone lived here... I wonder how long ago?" she pondered aloud, shifting her attention to the ceiling. Blue crystals covered almost every part of it, some as tiny as a grain of sand, while others grew larger than Aster's head. They were so beautiful that she stopped for a moment and stared in awe. Her naked body began glowing even more from their light, her pale skin painted with gentle blue hues.

Aster turned away from the water and got closer to his sister. "Found anything?" he asked quietly, keeping an eye on that pool just in case.

Shaking her head, she replied softly, "Just these drawings... they look very old," she whispered, running a finger across one of them—a smiling figure drawn with simple lines. Her golden eyes darted around the chamber again before finally settling on Aster's face. Let's double-check everything and bring Mom here... somehow," she added after a brief moment.

Nodding in agreement, he mumbled a quiet, "Alright." With that, the children began looking for anything out of place or suspicious. It was weird seeing this place so well-lit. His eyes even hurt a little, but it was a nice feeling, almost as if they were outside once again.

...

Only after a tedious check for anything hiding in every little corner did the two finally feel confident it was safe to bring their sleeping mother here. The hardest part was getting Nivalis through the narrow tunnel, and pushing her limp body along proved extremely challenging. It took a lot of effort and patience, but eventually, after nearly an hour, they placed her pale figure beside that inviting pool.

Once everything was set up, words couldn't describe how tired both children were from all the work. They even took a moment to gently wash Nivalis, carefully wiping away the dust and grime that clung to her skin with warm water. It made her look a hundred times better and healthier, making all the effort worth it.

They were eager to let her soak in the water for a while, but getting her into the pool was simply too much for the two skinny siblings to handle. So, for the time being, Nivalis rested beside the pool on their makeshift bed, on the soft moss that had grown there. What a difference it made compared to the cold rocks they had been resting on; it felt heavenly. Silvia and Aster hoped that just being near the hot spring would help relax their mother enough for her nightmares to ease up.

Once everything was done, the boy sat down at the water's edge, exhausted from all the effort. "Phew... I'm tired..." he sighed quietly, glancing at his sister, sitting on the rocky ground beside him.

"Me too..." Silvia sighed, leaning against Aster, resting her head on his shoulder as she looked into the hot water beneath her feet. Her legs hung in the pool, kicking gently back and forth, sending tiny ripples across its steamy surface. She could feel the warmth radiating off it, making her pale skin tingle nicely. "My back hurts... and everything else, too," she complained quietly with a small pout. A sudden tremble shook through her body just then, adding to her discomfort.

— "Let's get you washed," Aster said softly, offering her a warm smile before wrapping an arm around her waist. He gently guided his sister into the inviting warmth of the hot spring, lowering himself down beside her so they could relax together. The water washed over their tired bodies in a way that made them both sigh in contentment. "Well, I guess I didn't think this through," Aster chuckled softly, glancing at his bandaged hands awkwardly resting above the surface of the steamy water. "I can't get my bandages wet," he mumbled, unsure of what to do next. The last thing they needed was to catch some nasty infection from here.

Silvia smiled back at him and quickly hopped onto Aster's lap before he could say anything else. Her little, soft butt landed right on his stiff boyhood, squished gently against her pale cheeks. She ignored the sensation for now, instead guiding both of his bandaged hands to rest upon her delicate shoulders, making sure they wouldn't get wet. "I'll take care of everything. Just relax," she said quietly, humming a little tune.

With a nod, the boy did as he was told, leaning back against the rock while his sister began gently scrubbing his chest and belly beneath the water's surface. Her fingers moved in small circles across his skin, making him squirm as they tickled like crazy. "A-Asty! Stop fussing around!" she giggled, her voice echoing softly around the cave.

The reason for his squirming wasn't just the tickling, but also the sensation of her soft bottom pressed against his throbbing shaft, sliding with each small movement she made, poking into the smooth flesh. The closeness of their bodies and memories of what had happened earlier made him think about things he shouldn't have been thinking about.

He closed his eyes, trying not to think about how she humped against his face, how her butt pressed firmly against his nose while she rubbed her small slit against his lips and tongue, or how he ended up gulping down all the sweet moisture she gave him to prevent from choking. The way she tasted on his tongue, and still does even now, and how much her body trembled when she reached her orgasm.

Noticing his silence, Silvia frowned slightly in concern. "Are you okay?" she asked softly, not stopping her gentle cleaning.

— "Yeah, I-I... What was that? Earlier?" he mumbled after a few seconds of hesitation, looking at her with a slight blush on his youthful face. "Humping stuff."

The girl's hands stopped moving as their gazes locked. Her eyes darted away from his briefly before she regained her composure and continued washing his pale skin, an area slightly below his belly button. "That... I'm so sorry," she said quietly. "I don't know why I did that. I just..." she trailed off, unable to explain herself properly.

The long, awkward silence stretched between them, punctuated only by the soft sounds of the bubbling spring and their quiet breaths.

Aster was the first to break it. "I-I don't mind... if it felt good for you," he whispered back, now his turn to look away from her golden eyes. His heart beat faster as he did so. "You did stuff for me... so it's only fair, right? Just... I would like to breathe if we do something like that again. I almost drowned in there," he added with a small chuckle, earning himself a pinch on the side from her. "Ow! Wh—" he jumped slightly.

"Don't joke about my princess parts, Asty. It's not my fault it's so wet down there," she whispered shyly, her finger drawing little circles on his right shoulder. "But... thanks for helping me... with that... and for the offer," Silvia mumbled again after a few more moments of silence, only to add, "Your thingy... umm... it still stands, you know? We... we need to do something about it. The second time, I mean, like you usually did with Mom." She did so in a single breath, clearly nervous.

The young boy nodded awkwardly and replied, "Yeah... I noticed. You don't have to help if you're uncomfortable with it. I can wait for Mom to wake up."

"I'm not. Let's just get over with it," Silvia whispered back, slowly lifting herself off his lap and out of the water. Her petite body glistened with droplets, her long, silver hair clinging wetly to her shoulders and back. She carefully lay beside him on the rocky shore of the hot spring, careful not to slip on the damp rocks. That little butt of hers looked even better now, reflecting that soft blue light from above, its creamy skin still tinged pink with cold. "Just be gentle, alright?" she mumbled in embarrassment, noticing how intensely he stared at her bum.

Aster nodded and quickly got to his feet, splashing water everywhere. His erection stood tall and proud between his legs as he approached his sister from behind, cradling the softness of her thighs, just like an hour ago. The shaft throbbed and twitched with anticipation, wet and glistening, like the rest of his skinny body. "Nice," he couldn't help but whisper at the sight.

Slowly, he lowered himself down onto her back, nestling himself between those soft buttocks once again. A tiny gasp slipped from their lips as they felt that familiar hardness slip into its rightful place, snuggling against her tender pucker like it belonged there. His golden eyes fluttered shut at the sensation, his arms wrapping around her naked shoulders to hold her close.

Just as he was about to pound against her butt again, Aster suddenly remembered something very important. "Wait... You're still 'awake.' Remember that sleeping thing?" he whispered in realization.

Silvia blushed deeply and nodded awkwardly. "Y-yeah... right, right. I'm asleep," she mumbled, closing her pretty eyes shut, eyelashes resting against her pale cheeks as she tried to relax with his penis throbbing against her tender opening.

He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly before starting to thrust his hips back and forth just like earlier, sliding that shaft between the softness of those buttocks. Slaps of wet skin against wet skin filled the air, echoing off the cave walls, mixed with their heavy breathing and tiny gasps.

Silvia kept her eyes closed as she lay beneath him, huffing quietly at each of his movements while her small hands clenched into fists on either side of her body. She patiently waited for Aster to get rid of the pain that throbbed between his legs, like any good big sister would, trying not to think too much about the sensation of him sliding up and down against her sensitive, tiny opening.
