Chapter 238 [Bonus chapter] The Outside World

In a breathtaking way, Akun led Oliver, Hestria, and Leona through the boundless expanse of the sky, their journey propelled by the force of his aspect power.

As they soared above the sprawling landscape, Hestria, Oliver, and Leona found themselves immersed in a colourful display of wonders unfolding beneath them. Green forests stretched like a carpet of emerald, their lush canopies hiding secrets and untold stories. Rivers gleamed under the lumination of sunlight, weaving patterns across the earth's canvas.

Majestic mountains stood as silently in the distance, their lofty peaks whispering tales.

The trio moved gracefully, witnessing the world from a vantage point few ever experienced. The crisp wind carried the fragrance of blooming flowers and the invigorating scent of nature's embrace. Below, low grade monster moved like tiny, animated specks, unaware of the ephemeral visitors dancing in the sky.

Oliver, and Leona exchanged glances, their eyes reflecting the awe and wonder inspired by the breathtaking display of the world unfurling beneath them.

Oliver's enthusiastic voice echowed through the open skies as he marveled, "Damm, this is seriously amazing. Is this how you feel when you soar through the skies, my liege?" His eyes sparkled with a mixture of excitement and wonder as he turned his gaze towards Akun, momentarily locking eyes with his liege. Akun, draped in an aura of quiet confidence, offered a subtle smile in response.

The vast expanse of the sky lay before them, a breathtaking canvas of blue hues and wisps of clouds.

As they soared higher, Akun's silver hair caught the sunlight, casting a soft gleam that complemented the vivid colors of the horizon. The wind played mischievously with their hair, creating a dance of strands that swayed and twirled in the invisible currents.

As they soared past the Beast Folk tribe, they finally landed at the forest edge. They were still a considerable distance away when their feet touched the ground with a soft thud. The first thing that caught their collective attention was snow, extending beyond the barrier. It seemed they had only moved a few steps from their initial position, yet they were now on the other side of the barrier.

Observing this, Akun mused, "I never knew the barrier kept snow out. But if this is the case, shouldn't there be snow on top of the barrier?" Akun gazed upwards but saw nothing. He continued his contemplation, "Guess that's an SSS rank skill for you—no snow at the top, but there is beyond this point. It kind of feels like you are about to step into a completely different world."

Akun paused momentarily, let out a sigh, and then mused further, "By this time back on Earth, it should be Christmas." He smiled slightly and continued, "I wonder how many times Mom and Dad must have called to check on me, or maybe they both came back to celebrate, only to not find me anywhere." He gritted his teeth slightly, then let out another sigh, mumbling, "Guess I still have the goddess to blame for not being able to see them again.

But in a way, I'm glad I came to this world."

As the group approached the edge of the forest, Leona's voice cut through the wind, "My liege, we're here. How do you intend for Hestria, Oliver, and me to leave the barrier?"

Hearing Leona mention a barrier, Hestria couldn't help but muse, "A barrier? I and the other magic knights never encountered a barrier when coming here... Unless the barrier is somehow invisible. After all, we all noticed our gradation and stats dropped after a certain point, and when we stepped back, it returned to normal. But when we stepped forward again, it was the same thing.

Maybe that was done by the invisible barrier?"

Akun turned his gaze towards her, his purple eyes thoughtful, then mumbled, "Oh, right." He spoke up, his tone steady, "I'll slash open a rift through the fabric of space, and you both will pass through it."

Intrigued by the prospect, Oliver couldn't contain his curiosity and asked, "My liege, how precisely do you plan to achieve such a feat?"

Akun couldn't help but smile, and then he spoke out in a tone that seemed to resonate through the very fabric of reality, "Come forth, †Void-Sword-Onos†." In that moment, a rift tore open beside Akun, and the bluish hilt of the sword poked out. Akun proceeded to pull it out, and as he did, the blade shimmered with a vibrant blue and purple hue, almost as if it were breathing.

Instructing everyone to stand behind him, Akun, with the †Void-Sword-Onos† in hand, walked forward. He swung the sword just before the barrier, and with that powerful sweep, a massive breach opened up, revealing the other side of the barrier.

As the fabric of space was slashed before their very eyes, they all gazed in awe at how weird these cracks appeared to be on top of the barrier but were actually slightly above it, meaning it was indeed a crack somehow hovering right in mid-air.

Akun then turned around to gaze at the three of them as he said, "It's done. You three should make your way through."

Hearing that, they collectively replied, "Yes." Oliver, who was far more excited than Leona and Hestria, couldn't help but run through it. Leona and Hestria also emerged moments later, and Akun stretched out his hand, then clenched his fist, and the rift closed.

Feeling excited to begin the mission, Oliver turned around to face Akun as he said, "Guess we'll now be on our way, my liege," with enthusiasm, his boots digging deep into the snow.

Just as he was about to turn around and continue, Akun suddenly spoke up, halting the three of them. "You all should wait," Leona inquired, "What is it, my liege?"

Akun then revealed, "If I'm right, as a both of you just stepped through the barrier, your power levels are about to surge forward. I just wanted you both to be close by so I can see it up close."

Curious and confused, Oliver mumbled, "Power level?"@@novelbin@@
