Chapter 251 Now The Real Battle Begins
The dragon woman mused inwardly, wondering what caused Gideon's abnormal behavior. He initially dodged the first attack; why did he suddenly decide to let himself die at the end?
She let out a sigh then pondered further, "Well, it doesn't matter; the fact is he has now perished." She then slowly took to the air and muttered, "I should find out where the locations of the four other dragons I felt are. A slightly hint of happiness could be heard in her voice. "I knew the dragon race would survive, despite the fact the gods intended to wipe us out.
At least four of us still survived! We must come together and plan the continuation of our race; our tribes don't matter in such a dire situation."
Her tone suddenly became sober as she then added, "It was just like Father said, so I must make sure I continue the dragon race, whether they want to or not. No matter what it takes."@@novelbin@@
Suddenly, the woman heard a voice from her back as she soared through the snowy clouds, "Really, to continue your race sounds like quite the classic protocol for a nearly extincted race, but that still doesn't answer the question of where you came from."
Curious, the dragon woman turned her head and was surprised to see a figure behind her, standing on her back as she soared in the air. The wind swayed their long black hair from side to side, but the thick storm clouds covered most of their features. However, their glowing purple eyes could be easily seen, and for some reason, so was their grin.
The dragon woman instantly realized it was Gideon, the evolved ant she had faced earlier. She knew his name due to the fact she used her dragon eyes to originally gaze at his status window, but now she was surprised at how he was alive and standing on her back.
From what she thought, her attack from earlier should have completely obliterated him. So how was he alive and standing on her back of all places? Inwardly, she mused, "How is he alive, and how come I didn't feel his presence close by? Even now, even though I'm looking at him, I still can't feel his presence.
That is not something even the black dragon clan was capable of, and they were the masters of black magic."
Suddenly, Gideon added, "Where do you think you are going, miss? Now that I think about it, I never got your name. How unethical. Isn't it common sense for you to introduce yourself back where you came from, or were all dragons that socially awkward that they never introduce themselves and would always decide to kill those that didn't agree with them?
Sounds like a barbaric race if you ask me." He grinned at the end as he slowly shook his head, a sign of disapproval. Explore hidden tales at My Virtual Library Empire
The dragon woman felt slightly offended, and as her anger increased, she mumbled, "How dare yo—" But before she could complete her statement, she was suddenly knocked out of the sky and crashed on the ground. The sheer force behind the attack that sent her crashing caused her to momentarily lose consciousness.
Gideon was the one responsible for the attack; he had simply thrown a heavy punch with his left hand to the dragon's back, and she fell, crashing to the snowy gornds with a massive boom.
Gideon landed gracefully on the snowy floor, his eyes fixed on the dragon woman who stirred, slowly regaining consciousness. She rose to her feet, her majestic form towering against the wintry landscape. As he made his way through the snow, Gideon's voice echoed in the crisp air.
"How was that short nap I gave you?" he quipped, a smirk playing on his lips. "Should have cleared up your head a bit so you can start thinking clearly—a classic reboot. Hopefully, you're thinking clearly now, and you'll stop with that shitty high-and-mighty attitude."
The dragon woman, still disoriented, glared at him with a mix of frustration and bewilderment. The cold air hung heavy with tension as the two faced each other in the aftermath of the powerful punch that had brought the dragon down from the sky. The snow around them carried the traces of their confrontation.
As the dragon towered over the landscape, her voice echoed through the crisp air, carrying a regal weight. "For that last attack, you have earned my respect," she declared, her eyes reflecting a mixture of acknowledgment and curiosity. "So, I shall introduce myself."
She paused, and the stillness of the surroundings seemed to magnify her words. "I am Princess Genreia of the Green Dragon Tribe, the rulers over the verdant expanses of Arcadia." The name echowed with authority, a harmonious blend of her lineage and the vast territories her tribe once commanded.
The dragon then added, her voice echoing with a slight hint of anger, "Now that you have heard my name, you must die. I thought you perished back then, but it would seem you are far more resilient than I thought. So, I will be sure to make proper work of you this time, and I will make sure to scatter your remains to the ends of Arcadia."
Gideon chuckled and then said, "Damm, that's a pretty cold declaration from a princess that once ruled the green parts of Arcadia. Are you sure you didn't rule with an iron fist? Maybe that's why the dragons were driven extinct." Unbeknownst to Gideon, his words were slowly infuriating the princess, and she would soon explode with rage.
Gideon continued, "I can't picture a hot-blooded princess such as yourself not slaughtering your people for the fun of it."
Gideon then concluded, "Well, enough of that." His tone turned cold as he added, "It's about time I beat you up, capture you, and then take you to be punished." Suddenly, he charged forward, the sheer force he used to move causing a massive snow cloud to billow into the air.
As he moved, shadows seemed to come out of his body, forming clones of himself that carried out the exact same motions he did.
What do you think?
