Chapter 275 Battle In The Courtyard

A holy knight suddenly yelled, "This is for my brother!" His voice echoed through the tension-filled air as he charged towards Leona, his footsteps echoing with each step. With a furious cry, he swung his sword downward, aiming to cleave Leona in two from head to toe.

Time seemed to slow as Leona swiftly intercepted his blade with her right hand, instantly stopping it gripping it tightly. The knight struggled, realizing he couldn't retract his sword or complete his swing; it was as if it were stuck in place. In a display of raw strength, Leona shattered the sword under her powerful grip, the metallic clang echoing through the air.

With the shattered remnants of the sword falling to the ground, Leona wasted no time. With a swift move, she swept her left leg, knocking the knight off his feet. For a brief moment, he hovered in the air, his expression a mix of shock and disbelief. Then, with decisive force, Leona brought her left foot down on his abdomen, a resounding thud echoing through the air as he crashed to the ground.

The impact rendered the knight instantly unconscious, his body laying on the ground as the remains of his shattered sword lay scattered around him. Leona stood over him, her expression unreadable as she surveyed the scene before her, her yellow eyes glowing intansly.

As Emaralis rallied the holy knights, her voice echoing with the command, "Charge forward and subdue the intruders!" Across the battlefield, Yefrit, the head mage, directed the mages, "Unleash your spells," their hands glowing with their mana as they prepared to cast.

Observing the unfolding chaos, Oliver remarked to Leona, "Looks like the party's started." Leona nodded in agreement, her eyes scanning the advancing knights. "You handle the mages," she instructed him firmly. "I'll take care of the knights."

With a playful nod, Oliver acknowledged her command. "Noted," he replied, his muscles tensing as he prepared to engage the mages. Moving at the same time, they dove into the fray, each focusing on their respective adversaries.

Leona, her movements smooth and refined, dodged the first swing of a knight's sword with a deft sidestep. Closing the distance between them in an instant, she unleashed a barrage of lightning-fast punches, targeting vulnerable joints and pressure points with pinpoint accuracy. Each strike echoed with staggering force, sending shockwaves rippling through the air as her fists smashed his armor.

Finally finishing him of with a massive punch to the abdomen the sent him crashing into his comrads.

With another attack, her right foot connected with a knight's knee with a loud crack, sending him staggering backward with a cry of pain. Leona turned around on her left foot, delivering a powerful roundhouse kick to another knight's chest, the impact knocking him off balance and sending him crashing into his comrades. Leona's voice cut through the chaos like a clarion call, her eyes scanning the battlefield for her next opponent. "Who's next?" she roared, her voice ringing with challenge.

Suddenly, her keen senses caught the glint of steel as another knight lunged at her wearing a savage swing. With lightning reflexes, Leona leaned back, her body arcing gracefully as the blade whistled past her abdomen. In a fluid motion, she executed a perfect backflip, narrowly evading the deadly strike.

As she landed back on her feet, Leona's eyes never left the knight. She immidatly launched herself forward, closing the distance between them in the blink of an eye. With a swift movement of her legs, she delivered a powerful kick to the guard's jaw, the impact sending him hurtling through the air.

But Leona wasn't finished yet. With the agility of a cat, she leaped forward once more, her body became a blur as she closed in on her falling opponent. Planting her left foot firmly on the ground, she turned around on her heel, her right leg extending in a graceful arc.@@novelbin@@

With a loud thud, her foot connected with the knight's abdomen, the force of the blow driving the air from his lungs in a sharp gasp. He went hurtling through the air, crashing into his comrades with bone-jarring force.

As the battle raged on, Leona continued, her fists a blur as she delivered devastating blows to her foes. With each strike, another holy knight fell, unconscious and defeated, unable to withstand the sheer force of her attacks.

Oliver's approach to the group of mages was marked by his usual smile, his green eyes scanning the group with a mixture of seriousness and a hint of mischief. As he drew closer, he couldn't help but notice that most of the mages before him were women.

Normally, Oliver would relish the opportunity to charm his way into their favor, but given the circumstances, he knew he had to focus on the task at hand.

With a resigned sigh, Oliver muttered to himself, "Well, isn't this unfortunate? Normally, I'd be all about making the ladies smile, but it looks like today, I'll have to bring the pain instead."

"Alright mages, fire your spells!" Yefrit's command echoed, reviving his words, the mages fired off their fire spells. Sending massive firevalls hurling towards Oliver. Seeing this, Oliver simply smiled and braced himself for the attack.

He immidatly summoned a protective barrier of green mana around his body, once all the fireballs landed, a massive explosion erupted, sending shockwaves trough the air and smoke billowing upwards. The mages, believing they had dealt a powerful blow, began to celebrate.

Emerging unscathed from the flames, Oliver's voice cut through the jubilant cheers of the mages. "What's all this celebrating about?" he quipped, his smirk widening as he revealed himself. "If you're trying to take me down with fire, you'll need something a bit more creative than that." He smiled right after.

Suddenly, Oliver's deminor changed his gaze narrowed, as he made his intentions clear. "I may not be as merciful as Leona," he said, his voice was cold. "And even though I'm only using my fists, I won't be holding back."

In an instant, Oliver vanished from his spot, leaving behind only a crater and a swirling cloud of dust. Reappearing in the midst of the mages, he set his sights on Yefrit, the apparent leader of the group. With a cold glare, Oliver murmured to himself, "Take out the leader, disrupt their teamwork."
