Chapter 324: Something Benith The Surface

The elf woman’s eyes narrowed slightly, a flicker of intensity within them as she gazed at Akun. Her grip tightened on her sword, the muscles in her arms tensing. With a small shift of her stance, she readied herself.

"Do you actually think you can make this worth my time?" she questioned, her voice steady but tinged with skepticism.

Hearing such a qustion, Akun couldn’t help but smile confidently, but his gaze remained focused. As he spoke, his eyes narrowed slightly, hinting at his resolve. He stood tall, his body language gave off confidence as he spoke.

"Five moves," he said, his voice carrying an undertone of assurance. "If you can defeat me in five moves, I’ll be gone."

A moment of tense silence hung between them, broken only by the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze. Waving the branches of the trees and their clothing from sided to side.

The elf woman’s demeanor suddenly changed, her expression becoming more serious. With a small furrowing of her brow, she tightened her grip on her sword, as she gazed intensly at Akun.

"Are you underestimating me?" she asked, her tone firm.

Akun chuckled lightly, his demeanor relaxed. He shook his head, his smile not leaving his face as he met her gaze with confidence. With a casual shrug of his shoulders, he hinted at his readiness for the duel ahead.

"Hardly," he replied, his voice calm and collected. "But if I am, then it’s up to you to prove me wrong by defeating me, isn’t it?"

The woman’s expression remained stoic, her eyes fixed on Akun as he spoke. She shook her head slightly.

"I still don’t see the reason why I should oblige," she replied, her voice firm. "My pride is not so fragile that it could be stirred up by simple words."

"Well that makes sense." Akun said as he nodded in understanding, a faint smile still at the corners of his lips. He took a look around briefly before turning his attention back to the massive tree at the center of the clearing. @@novelbin@@

"Then a small display of strength is in order," he remarked, his smile widening ever so slightly.

With calm and slow strides, Akun approached the massive tree, his steps filled with confidence. The elf woman watched with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism, her brow furrowing slightly in deep thought.

Now standing directly Infront of the massive three, Akun reised his right hand upwards, pulling it back and he prepared to throw a punch.

As Akun was about to punch the tree, the elf woman couldn’t help but wonder, "Wait, what he was planning? This tree is thousands of years old, its bark hardened by time and weather. He would only end up hurting himself by trying to punch it."

With a sudden burst of energy, Akun threw a punch toward the tree, his fist stopping just short of making direct contact. The elf woman’s eyes widened in surprise as she watched the scene unfold.

At first, nothing seemed to happen, but then, out of nowhere, cracks began to ripple across the tree’s bark. The sound of splintering wood echoed through the clearing, sending a shiver down the elf woman’s spine.

She couldn’t help but muse, "Wait... How did he do that? It couldn’t have all been raw strength.... That’s far too bazzare. Maybe a sort of impact skill? But he didn’t make any contact so the skill couldn’t have activated." She tried her best to wrap her head around the impossible feat she had just witnessed.

The elf woman gazed at Akun with a hint of curiosity in her piercing blue eyes. "Who is he? If he is so strong why haven’t I ever heard of him before now. Well, that dosen’t matter now, he’s strong enough to be an opponent." She smiled slightly after a moment of deep thought, she finally nodded in agreement.

"Very well," she said, her voice carrying a hint of excitement, she then added. "I will accept your challenge."

With a swift movement, she positioned herself opposite Akun, her sword drawn and at the ready. As the tension between them mounted, "Here I come, brace yourself." She said to Akun, a hint of seriousness in her voice. Find adventures on NovelBin.Côm

As the elf woman launched her first attack, she lunged forward with her sword, aiming a diagonal slash toward Akun’s left side. Akun swiftly sidestepped to the right, his body leaning gracefully away from the oncoming blade. "That’s one," he remarked coolly, a hint of amusement in his voice as he smiled slightly.

After her first missed strike, the elf woman gritted her teeth, her brows furrowing in frustration. "Damn it," she muttered under her breath, her grip tightening on her sword. "He’s faster than I thought. I need to adjust my approach."

For her second attack, the elf woman pivoted on her heel, aiming a vertical strike aimed at Akun’s shoulder. Anticipating her move, Akun deftly twisted his torso, narrowly evading the descending blade as it wished past. "And you missed again," he taunted, a smirk playing on his lips.

As her second attack failed to connect, the elf woman’s frustration grew. "What is he, some kind of ghost?" she wondered aloud, her voice laced with irritation. "How did he move like that!? I thought the only thing he had going for him was his strength."

Not stopping, the elf woman quickly pressed on with her third attack, launching a series of rapid thrusts aimed at Akun’s abdomen. With lightning-fast reflexes, Akun stepped back, smoothly parrying each strike with his own blade. "Three," he counted, his movements smooth and precise.

With each unsuccessful strike, the elf woman’s focus only intensified. "Come on, you can do this," she urged herself silently, her eyes narrowing in concentration. "Don’t let his speed intimidate you. Stay focused, and find an opening." She narrowed her gaze, her blue eyes glowing slightly.

As the elf woman attempted her fourth attack, she feinted to the left before lunging forward with a horizontal slash aimed at Akun’s right flank. Sensing her deception, Akun couldn’t help but smile even more, he seemed to be enjoying this.
