Chapter 328 The Next Match

A few hours ago.

As Akun made his way through the bustling streets towards the colossal structure housing the arena, his gaze fell upon a figure stationed by a counter just before the entrance. The man stood tall, a small banner identical to the token Akun possessed displayed proudly beside him.

"Makes sense," Akun muttered to himself, piecing together the purpose of the man and his banner. "Challengers present their token here after a victory."

With a dignified stride, Akun approached the man, who greeted him with a courteous nod. "Can I help you sir?" the man asked.

"I've defeated one of the tournament's previous participants in a challenge and would like to take their place in the tornament," Akun stated confidently.

The man's eyes widened in disbelief. The tournament had reached its semifinals, and the remaining participants were powerful opponents. If Akun had emerged victorious without a scratch on him or his armor, he must possess considerable strength.

"Show me your token," the man requested, his voice tinged with curiosity.

holding up his token as proof, Akun said, "Here, this is it right?" He presented his token to the man, who inspected it with a mix of surprise and awe. "Yes, this is the one," the man confirmed, his disbelief clearly in his tone. Pointing towards the entrance, he continued, "You may make your way in, sir. It's not yet your turn to participate, but after the current match, it will be you next."

"Thanks," Akun replied with a nod of appreciation. With a wave to the man, he turned and strode past the entrance, excitement building as he prepared for his upcoming challenge.

As Akun stepped further into the arena, the sound of cheers surrounded him, filling the air. With each step, he could feel the energy of the crowd pulsing through the atmosphere.

Emerging onto the other side of the entrance, Akun found himself amidst rows upon rows of seats, the arena stretching out before him. Looking around the sea of spectators, he searched for a place to sit, uncertain of where to settle.

"Master, over here!" A familiar voice broke through the noise, drawing Akun's attention. Turning towards the source of the voice, he spotted Tatilia seated among the crowd, waving eagerly to catch his eye. "Over here!" she called out again, her voice carrying across the bustling arena.

As Tatilia's voice rang out across the arena, calling Akun "master," it caused a stir among the spectators. Heads turned, and murmurs rippled through the crowd as they tried to identify who she was referring to.

Among the audience, people whispered to one another, speculating whether a noble's child had decided to join the common folk despite the availability of VIP seating. The notion of a noble mixing with the masses seemed intriguing, and curious glances darted around the arena.

"Is there a noble child among us?"

"It can't be. Why would they sit here instead of the VIP section?"

"Maybe they wanted a better view of the matches."

"Absurd, their seats are far elevated than ours. It won't even be bizzare to say that they have a bird's eye view."

Akun, spotting Tatilia then said, "Ah, Tatilia."

He nodded in acknowledgment and began to make his way through the bustling arena towards Tatilia and the others.

As he did, the gaze of the spectators turned towards him, their whispers growing louder.

"Who's that noble?"

"I don't recognize him. Must be from a prestigious house."

"Look at that armor. He's no commoner, that's for sure."

The speculation continued as Akun approached Tatilia and the rest of the group, his presence commanding attention.

Akun settled into the seat beside Tatilia. He greeted her and the others with a nod, his silver hair catching the light as he turned his attention to them. "So, who's going up now?" he asked with a smirk.

Tatilia answered with a grin, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "It's Kaldarix and some student from the royal castle academy."

Genreia, seated nearby, leaned in eagerly, her body shifting to touch his. "So, Master, how did your little mission to find a token go? Did you succeed?"

Akun straightened up, a confident smile on his lips as he proudly presented the token. "Was there ever any doubt?" he replied, his posture giving off assurance.

Genreia's cheeks flushed slightly at Akun's response, a small nod acknowledging his confidence.

Mellin, seated nearby, joined the conversation, leaning forward with interest. "So, after your match, you will be up aganist Kaldarix, both of you will be going up against each other, huh?" She remarked, her body language hinting at her curiosity.

Akun nodded as he agreed with Mellin's words. "Indeed, it's bound to be quite the show," he remarked, his eyes gleaming with excitement despite his calm deminor.

Azara smiled, her excitement clearly in her voice as she added, "Although I don't know what Kaldarix is capable of, I can't help but feel certain it will be an epic battle."

"Absolutely, even I can't help but look foward to it." Akun agreed, his tone confident.

As the cheers of the crowd filled the arena, the commentator stepped onto the stage with a confident stride. Dressed in a nice suit and holding a crystal-phone, he commanded attention with his presence as he moved to the center of the stage, ready to announce the next thrilling match to the eager audience.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the arena for the next thrilling match!" the commentator's voice boomed over the air with the help of wind magic, filling the stadium with cheers. "In this corner, hailing from the Royal Castle Academy, we have the young and talented Aric!"

The crowd erupted into cheers, showing their support for the promising young student.

"And in the opposing corner," the commentator continued, "We had a little change in the matchups due to a challenge, with the formidable Kaldarix emerging the victor, he will be Aric's opponent."

The audience roared with excitement at the mention of Kaldarix's name, eager to witness the clash between these two formidable opponents. Stay updated with My Virtual Library Empire
