“The dragon scales on it are Light-Blue items that can be turned into armor. The meat is Light-Blue quality as well. The real prize is the [Dragon Heart]. Most of the other dragon parts are white or green quality, like its blood and bones. If it’s fine with you, I’ll do my best to create dishes. The stuff we don’t need or can’t use, I’ll trade for other things once we’re back in the Realm. However, Alex… you either damaged or outright destroyed most parts. There’s not as much left as you might believe,” Menchi explains.

“Sounds fine. Our survival is more important than the quality of our loot. I couldn’t afford to hold back against such an enemy,” Alex nods, not caring much about such small details. He finally inspects the heart. “Whoa, the heart isn’t as large as I expected, but it looks powerful nonetheless,” Alex notes as he takes a look at the [Dragon Heart].

Everyone stares at the selection of mythical items Alex managed to pull out of that chest.

“Alex, your LUK is our biggest strength at this point. This is almost comical. I could use the [Dragon’s Spirit Gem]

“Guess if even you show a reaction, we can be satisfied. Yeah, I could use the ring… however, you could use it as well, Rishi,” Alex says, eyeing the powerful [Azure Flame Ring].

“As much as I love the fire spell, I’ll replace it sooner or later,” Rishi says solemnly.

“I guess I’ll take the gloves, then,” Tereza says.

Alex immediately chimes in: “Take my [Cave Spider’s Essence Ring] as well. I don’t need it anymore.”

“Deal,” she says with a smile, kissing Alex on the cheek. Jewel is obviously unhappy with that gesture.

Dearest Soulmate needs to be careful to avoid getting touched by peasants. Princess Jewel has been told they carry all sorts of diseases.

Oh, come on, Jewel. You’re getting a bit mean. Can’t you two stop these childish insults? Tereza does it too. Don’t stoop to her level. Also, she’s a bit too old to act that way. I need to talk to her about this. I’ll try to spend some time with her. Now that the task is done, we’re a bit more free.

Jewel, I love you a whole lot, as you know. However, I think you need to give me a bit of personal space. Tereza and I had a special moment not too long ago. Since then, we’ve always been busy, and I feel like I owe it to her to spend a little time with her.

The same goes for Menchi.

Menchi looks at all the items Alex, Rishi, and Tereza have obtained, her eyes blinking a little in disbelief.

“Almost getting a bit jealous… I’ll order my own non-system-recognized Dragon Hide Gloves. I’m super excited to try cooking with dragon meat, though. This is a rare chance! However, I’ll only do it once I’m a bit more confident in my abilities. That would be a huge waste otherwise,” Menchi says, excited to finally cook up a real dragon.

Alex sits on top of the castle at night, staring at the beautiful, bright moon. Tereza floats in the air beside him in her hybrid bat form, her wings shimmering softly in the moonlight.

“Thanks for giving me a lift,” he says, his voice calm but warm.

“No problem. I’m a bit surprised you invited me out. Is Jewel okay with it?” Tereza asks, slightly confused but clearly pleased.

Alex laughs. “Probably not, but she has to learn to respect my boundaries. I wanted to spend some time with you. We’ve all been extremely busy lately, and now that the first task is done, we can finally calm down a little, right?”

“Sure,” she responds, her smile glowing brighter than the moon above.

“How are you feeling? Everything all right? Despite Jewel’s cuteness, I can’t help but worry. Especially when I hear terms like ‘Deal’ being thrown around,” Alex says, his tone tinged with concern.

“It’s fine, Alex. Despite how it may look, we’re fine. I even like the little bugger a lot. She’s just always occupying you,” Tereza says with a slight smile, her usual teasing tone softened but still present.

“Occupying, huh? Despite how that sounds, I can’t disagree,” Alex laughs, remembering Jewel constantly sitting on his head.

“How about I occupy you for this night, at least?” Tereza finally says, her voice low and inviting as she slowly descends into Alex’s lap.

Their eyes meet, and for a moment, the world seems to fade away. The time apart, with Jewel making close contact almost impossible, has only made them more eager for this moment. They lean in, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss. The moonlight bathes them in a soft glow, and the cool night air feels electric.

Alex notes the slight taste of blood in Tereza’s mouth, a reminder of her constant habit of eating blood-flavored lollipops. It’s oddly endearing, a small quirk that makes her uniquely her.

Suddenly, Alex perks up, breaking the kiss. “What’s wrong?” Tereza asks, slightly surprised but still smiling.

“Second task. You know what that reminds me of?” Alex asks with a grin, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

“Prefects’ bathroom!!!” She says, sharing his excitement, immediately realizing what he wants to do.

Without another word, Alex grabs Tereza’s hand, and she effortlessly lifts him into the air. They fly swiftly to a nearby balcony, slipping into the castle with practiced ease.
