Fantasy World: I Can Travel To Cultivation World

Chapter 233: Found

In fact, it is extremely difficult to kill someone who has achieved immortality. Even if the enemy's cultivation level is equal, defeating an immortal might be feasible, but killing one is another matter entirely.

"So, my hope of cultivating this magical power lies in you."

Luis lifted his head, his gaze seeming to pierce through the hidden retreat chamber and into the deep sea, toward the underwater world of the Ten Thousand Star Sea.

There, a broken body was slowly sinking into the dark water. Upon closer inspection, the body was a deep purple—not a normal human corpse. Who else could this "corpse" be if not Sun Mang?

As the corpse sank toward the seabed, lower-ranked monsters began to pounce on it, biting it frantically. Even as it descended, these unintelligent creatures clung on, as if drawn by an irresistible force.

Suddenly, the "corpse" opened its eyes. Brutality and bloodthirst burst forth from its light-golden pupils. "Huh—" Sun Mang opened his mouth slightly, baring his sharp fangs. At the same time, a ball of black corpse gas erupted from his mouth.

The necrotic qi was terrifying; once it contacted the surrounding monsters, they deflated like balloons—their bodies shrank and turned to ashes without a sound.

"It was a close call—just barely!" Sun Mang murmured. After absorbing the essence and blood of these monsters, he slowly regained some of his strength.

He then stood, surveyed his surroundings, and realized he was in the underwater world of the Ten Thousand Star Sea.

Determining his direction, he flew east. Weak as he was, he needed to find food to replenish his energy and recover. And in this underwater realm, what could be better sustenance than a group of monsters?

With his current power, as long as he didn't provoke tribes with monsters above level three, there would be no danger.

Soon, under Sun Mang's careful and ruthless efficiency, three groups of monsters were eliminated from the underwater world of the Ten Thousand Star Sea. Such killings were common there; no demon beast tribe cared, and the monster tribes Sun Mang targeted were small and unintelligent, attracting little attention.

After devouring these groups in succession, Sun Mang finally recovered from his injuries. Although the corpse pill in his dantian was slightly dimmed, his overall strength remained intact.

"Mermaid of Hartmann!"The thought of that mermaid who had nearly killed him filled Sun Mang's eyes with hatred. Yet, he dared not let this grievance cause further trouble for his group. Deep down, though he would never admit it, he recognized that the strength of the Hartmann group had indeed surpassed his own.

And as time went by, the strength of the Hartmann family only grew, and without a miraculous opportunity, it would be impossible to further improve their power.

Sun Mang, as a zombie, was well aware of this. A zombie's golden elixir tribulation is a hundred times more terrifying than that of a human cultivator.

Even if a zombie managed to break through to the golden elixir stage, it would be reduced to ashes by a thunder tribulation.

From now on, if it were to encounter such a tribulation again, there would be no escape. It would never again have the good fortune to survive a disaster like this.

Sun Mang felt an overwhelming sadness. Originally an ambitious foundation-building cultivator, he had sought the treasure of the Shen Jue Immortal Mansion and, in the process, been refined into a corpse servant by the Shen Jue Immortal for his own use. Now, with the elder brother he had always relied on gone, he found himself utterly alone in the world—neither human nor ghost.

The thought of his fate drove him to consider suicide. He knew that if word of his survival leaked out, he would be hunted relentlessly by the cultivators of Cangzhou and even by the Qianyuan Sword Sect.

With his current strength, he could never escape such pursuit. Rather than being hunted to death like a stray dog, he felt it might be better to end his life early than to live alone in constant pain. In the end, he saw himself as nothing more than an abandoned pawn.

"Why, after such a minor setback, do you want to commit suicide?" a voice suddenly echoed in Sun Mang's ears.

"Owner!"Sun Mang recognized the voice immediately—it was Master Shen Jue, the one who had turned him into a zombie.

As a corpse servant of Master Shen Jue, Sun Mang could never harbor any resentment toward his master.

Instead, he felt nothing but deep respect. This was the twisted nature of a corpse servant: though transformed into this monstrous form by others, it still revered the one who had poisoned it from the very depths of its being, never daring to resist.

Sun Mang looked around as a vortex formed before him, and then a space portal slowly opened.

The scene was almost identical to when the Sun brothers had first investigated the Shen Jue Immortal Palace.

Without hesitation, Sun Mang stepped into the Shen Jue Immortal Palace. Immediately afterwards, the portal closed, and the seabed returned to calm, as if nothing had happened.

Sea View City.

Inside Luis's spiritual palace, Fairy Chi Yao was strolling through the mansion's garden when she suddenly stopped. Beside her, Yue'e noticed the serious expression on Chi Yao's face and asked, "Senior Sister, what's wrong?"

Fairy Chi Yao replied gravely, "My sense has disappeared."

"You mean... did the old demon Shen Jue take the bait?" Yue'e's beautiful eyes widened in surprise.

"It should be!" Chi Yao nodded, then hesitated before saying, "I'll go inform Uncle Master, and you go inform Fellow Daoist Luis."

Hearing this, Yue'e pouted, "Why notify him?"

"No matter what, this idea was conceived by Fellow Daoist Luis. It's only reasonable and logical that we inform him!"

Fairy Chi Yao said seriously.

"Okay, I know!"Yue'e exclaimed, aware of the urgency. She immediately took off and flew toward Hartmann Island.

Soon, Luis—who had been secluded in a secret room—sensed Yue'e's presence with his spiritual sense, rose, and left the room in his escape light.

He flew out of the Hartmann Island mountain protection formation and bowed to Yue'e, saying, "Fairy Yue'e, what can I do for you?"

"The old demon Shen Jue has taken the bait," she replied.

At these words, a flash of ecstasy lit up Luis's eyes. After half a cup of tea, in the Lingfu of Cangzhou Fairy City, Luis, along with Fairy Chi Yao and Fairy Yue'e, waited respectfully in the garden.

Luis noticed ripples in the space before them, and soon a young Taoist priest emerged, followed by a white-haired old man.

"Evil spirit!" someone cried out.

The first time Luis saw the old man, the vortex in his sea of consciousness trembled as if urging him to flee to the Fantasy World. "Danger! Extremely dangerous!" he thought.

When encountering the immortal corpse clone of Shen Jue Zhenren before, his vortex had never given such a frantic warning. Clearly, the strength of this old man was greater—a fourth-level monster, by all accounts.

"Hello, Uncle Master!" Fairy Chi Yao and Fairy Yue'e greeted, their pretty faces lit with respect as they saluted the Master of Zhenhai Palace. Yet he ignored the great demon in transformation standing beside him.

"Meet the Master of Zhenhai Palace!" Luis bowed immediately. "Greetings, Senior," he said.

The white-haired old man raised his eyes slightly and gave Luis a kind smile. "There's no need to bow to the beast," he said. Then, waving his hand casually, he kicked the old man behind him and commanded, "Hurry up, old man—help me locate where the beast, Shen Jue Old Demon, is hiding!"

"Yes, Palace Master!" the old man replied, clearly frightened, as no one dared defy him when he scolded.

Moments later, the old man's body began to change rapidly, expanding until, before everyone's eyes, a three-meter-long toad appeared.

"It is the patriarch of the Kongming Toad Clan. The Kongming Toad Clan excels at detecting spatial changes. With just a trace of its remaining breath, it can lock onto the location of the cave space," Fairy Chi Yao explained in Luis's sea of knowledge.

Hearing this, Luis suddenly realized, "So that's it. The saliva you asked me to smear on the flying sword must be from it, right?"

"Exactly," Fairy Chi Yao nodded.

While they conversed, the eyes of the Kongming Toad shifted from emerald green to white, swirling with mystery. Luis felt dizzy after just one glance.

"Kid, don't look around if there's nothing to do," the voice of the Lord of Zhenhai Palace echoed in his sea of consciousness. Luis immediately turned his head away, not daring to look further.

About half an incense stick of time.

The white in the eyes of the Kongming Toad faded and turned green again, and its body slowly returned to the appearance of a human-shaped old man.

"Report to the Palace Master,"

The old man said slowly, "I have already found out the location of the old demon Shen Jue."
