Chapter 780: Chapter 780: He Had to Admit, A Mother’s Heart Is Connected with Her Child’s
Jasmine Yale picked up her phone, and her first reaction was to call Little Chale’s homeroom teacher.
Little Chale’s homeroom teacher is a woman in her thirties, who was busy planning an event in her office at the time.
“I’m Chale Cheney’s mother,” Jasmine Yale explained to her.
In the last parent-teacher meeting, that was how she had introduced herself.
“Hello, Mrs. Cheney.”
“Is Little Chale in class? Is he in his classroom?” Jasmine Yale asked hastily and somewhat incoherently.
Her call caught the teacher off guard, it was so abrupt.
Even Jasmine herself felt that her concern… lacked reason.
It was as if something in her heart had suddenly stirred, and a terrible uneasy feeling started spreading throughout her body.
Jasmine’s eyes were filled with panic and her hands were trembling.
“The kids are all napping at this hour. I’ve just checked, and Chale Cheney is asleep,” the teacher patiently explained to Jasmine.
“He’s asleep? Truly asleep…”
Before Jasmine could finish her sentence, a frantic shout came from the other side of the line—
“Teacher Tango, Chale Cheney from your class is missing!”
“Thud!” Jasmine’s phone dropped from her hand, crashing onto the floor!
In an instant, Jasmine became as white as a sheet.
No, how could something happen to Little Chale?
She’d only had a bad premonition, but why was it proving to be so accurate?
“Jasmine, Jasmine!” Xara, concerned for her, hurried over from the cafeteria.
She picked up Jasmine’s phone from the floor for her: “Jasmine, what happened?”
Jasmine’s face paled, it looked like something was shattering in her pupils, little by little, incomplete.
“Little Chale…” she murmured to herself.
“What? Jasmine, what did you say?” Xara didn’t understand.
Jasmine hung her head down and nervously clutched her phone.
She immediately called Sylvan Cheney: “Where are you?”
Sylvan, who was with a client at the time, apologized and stepped aside to take the call.
“What’s happened?”
Through the colorful stained glass windows, sunlight poured in and illuminated Sylvan’s black suit.
He slightly furrowed his brows, a deep look in his eyes.
“Little Chale is missing!”
“What?” Sylvan clutched his phone, “Speak clearly.”
Jasmine quickly reported the call to the homeroom teacher to him.
Sylvan fell silent for a moment, put down the phone, and immediately called Charles Mcintosh.
Chale Cheney was missing… He had put bodyguards outside the kindergarten, how could he be missing?
From what he understood from Jasmine, the little one had just vanished!
Upon receiving Sylvan’s call, Charles Mcintosh realized the seriousness of the situation and immediately drove to the kindergarten.
Sylvan apologized to his foreign guests, walked to the underground garage, and fetched the fastest sports car.
All the way, Jasmine kept calling him.
“Sylvan, could you find Little Chale as soon as possible…”
“I will,” nodded Sylvan.
He had to admit that there was a special bond and sense of understanding between Jasmine and Chale, unlike any mother and son.
This kind of bond, even he, as the biological father, did not possess.
It was a unique empathy stemming from a mother’s nine-month pregnancy, different from any other.
“Did you arrange protection for him?”
“Rest assured, I’ll handle this, don’t run around,” Sylvan instructed.
“Can I go to the kindergarten?”
“No,” Sylvan lowered his voice, “stay put at the Respected Majesty, understood?”
“He’d be scared if he doesn’t see me.”
“I’m here,” said Sylvan in a stern voice, “Stay put at the Respected Majesty. Hear me?”
What do you think?
