First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 842 Family Meeting

"So you didn't do anything?"

"No."

"And I didn't do anything either."

"That is correct."

"So we're good then."

"Yes, honey. Now stop sweating."

Eris wiped Abaddon's brow for him and he smiled at her sheepishly.

"But then everything you saw… What are we supposed to do about it?"

Eris started to speak before eventually shaking her head in dismay. "I.. I don't know. For now we just have to put it on the back burner until we can talk to the girls about everything else going on first."@@novelbin@@

"Like what?" At that moment, Ayaana stepped out onto the balcony with their husband and missing piece.

""W-We didn't do anything!"" Eris and Abaddon both yelled in unison.

Ayaana paused and stared at the two of them awkwardly. "We didn't say that you did, my loves… is there a reason why the two of you are so out of sorts?"

Now, Eris and Abaddon were both sweating.

Even though Izanami's dream was no one's fault but Chaos', Abaddon and Eris didn't know if Ayaana would really care.

That illusion was very detailed…

The more likely scenario was that Ayaana would charge inside and eat Izanami's heart out of her chest.

So they both dreaded having to tell her anything more until they had a proper culprit for her to put her hands on.

"We were just tired." Abaddon said.

"Yes, very tired." Eris nodded her head a bit too hard, but her point was nonetheless made.

"Okay then..." Ayaana responded suspiciously. "Asherah says she's ready to begin since everyone is here now."

Relieved, Abaddon and took both of his wives by the hand and stepped inside.

There, he was relieved to see his other sister and her family standing in the living room.

He rushed to embrace her, but she caught him by the face instead and pulled hard on his cheeks.

"I was in the middle of a school board meeting when your wives suddenly popped up and demanded that I come with them. Care to explain?"

"Would it be alright to say that I did it because I missed seeing your face when I woke up in the- Ow, ow, ow!! Okay, I promise it's important, you silver-scaled rodent!!"

Abaddon now had new indents in his cheeks from his sister's sharp, leathery fingers.

When she was finally pried off of him, Eris met her with a hug that no thinking creature was capable of refusing.

"I am glad to see you are well, Malenia. You do so rarely come home anymore."

Malenia extended her a warm courtesy that she did not se for to give to her brother a second ago.

"Yes, well.. My home on earth is significantly quieter, you see."

"You like the loudness." Eris reminded.

"In doses, sweet Eris. In very, small doses." Malenia's multicolored eyes twinkled with amusement.

Abaddon rolled his eyes as he stepped toward another set of familiar faces. "I hope I didn't throw your lives into too much disarray."

Mateo held up his fingers and smiled devilishly. "Only a little bit."

Hera smiled as she hugged him. "Don't mind him, he couldn't drop his work fast enough to come here. He's been complaining that we needed an all expenses paid vacation."

"I just wish this resort host was just a little bit uglier..." Mateo rubbed his chin as he stared at Abaddon.

"You and many others." Abaddon rolled his eyes.

Mateo laughed as he jostled his shoulder. "Alright, no playing then. What's going on, brother? It's not like you to send such a heavy cavalry after us without cause. Hell, you barely call."

Abaddon winced at what he felt was a light dig. He really did need to get better about calling his sister and her partners.

"You'll all find out in a minute... I hope you both packed enough, because you might be here for awhile..."

Hera and Mateo both raised a brow at this, as it seemed things were more serious than they'd thought.

Out of the corner of his eyes, Abaddon spotted a pair of new, stunned faces in his home.

Courtney was here standing in the corner with her roommate Kayla and her crush, AJ.

Abaddon glanced at his combined wives, who shrugged in turn.

"They were all hanging out together when we went to get them. Since their father is here too, we saw no harm in bringing them with us."

As evidenced by her claim, Shin and Fiona walked in at that moment and they immediately went and found the other two missing members of their family.

"Are we ready to begin?" Stay tuned for updates on My Virtual Library Empire

A low chatter was about the room before Asherah spoke out. And like the matriarch of a family, everyone quietly crowded around her as they waited for her to speak.

Abaddon, Ayaana, and Eris sat relatively close together on the sectional sofa and sighed in exhaustion.

"Right, well... Thank you for coming, everyone. We've called you all here today because it seems we've made some rather annoying enemies this time around." Abaddon began.

"Yes... And not all of them in your weight class, it seems." Asherah agreed.

The way she phrased that piqued Abaddon's interest. "Since you brought it up... Would you care to share first..?"

Asherah nodded, as she considered what she knew to be of the most dangerously vital importance.

"A short, while ago, the goddess Izanami was resting in her room when she was suddenly beset by a vision. Her very reflection took on it's own personality and spoke to her, urging her into committing an act of treachery by showing her visions of a desirable outcome."

"What kind of treachery and what kind of desirable visions..?" Gabbrielle in her small form asked.

Asherah faltered underneath her veil. "That is... unknown." She lied. "All we are aware of is that she was urged to stab Ayaana."

To her credit, Asherah tried hard to preserve Izanami's dignity.

But given that the instruction was to stab Ayaana, everyone in the room with a sufficient enough intellect stared at Abaddon, and his unbearably pretty face.

The dragon just lowered his head in shame and hid his expression behind a curtain of red hair.

"If she's having visions like that then should she really be walking around this house unconfined??" Iori asked.

"A fair question, but I assure you that Izanami is not the danger here. Her actions and the things she saw were not of her own malicious devising. It was the work of the primordial Chaos."

"She's back??" Gabbrielle almost exclaimed.

"""You knew she was around?!""" Bashenga, Abaddon, and Asherah questioned.

Gabbrielle realized that this might have indeed fallen into the category of important things she should have mentioned a long time ago, but she never did because no one ever asked her.

"...In the olden days she used to pop her head up from time to time. I felt her act whenever there were unique disturbances inside of the multiverse.

But I haven't sensed her in this timeline, and the last time I sensed her in the previous one was somewhere around when Yesh's son was killed."

Asherah was clearly growing a headache underneath her veil. "And you didn't inform him or I because...?"

"I felt it was not my business... at the time."

Everyone gave Gabbrielle a kind of dry look. To which she responded by upping her whole cute, innocent act tenfold.

Everyone suddenly found it a lot harder to be mad at her then. She was just a baby!

"As I was saying... Izanami was not the concern because rather than betray this family, she instead attempted to take her own life using the very weapon that Chaos provided her. Which... appeared to be what it wanted all along." Asherah sighed.

The air inside of the room was suddenly very heavy.

Ayanna's shoulders showed a minuscule amount of relief. Something that did not escape Abaddon's notice. But that was only temporary.

"For a moment, she descended into Izanami's body and attempted to leave the house. Luckily, Bashenga and Nyx were there and revealed her ruse to Eris, at which point Chaos abandoned the body."

Gaia looked at Bashenga suspiciously, as if she were wondering why her man (not her man btw) was hanging around with a known hoe while she wasn't around.

Bashenga could feel her staring, but trained himself to focus on literally anything else.

"How was she even able to get in here?" Thrudd asked. "I thought our home was supposed to be unreachable from the outside."

This was what Abaddon most wanted to hear as well. It was his greatest concern currently.

Before she had even spoken, Asherah seemed uniquely exhausted in a way that Abaddon or Ayaana had never seen before.

"There are many working theories, one is that her contact with one Malachi Saint may have been possible... but I don't know if I quite buy that one." She admitted.

Belloc, Thea, Aubrey, and Aisha seemed immensely relieved.

"Then what is your theory?" Abaddon raised a brow.

Asherah stared at him for a long time, as if her words were caught in her throat.

She then looked around the room, and as a result he and the others did the same. "Have you ever wondered what is outside?"

Abaddon and everyone else didn't seem to understand her question.

"What? The valley?"

Asherah shook her head.

"No, Tathamet. I mean what is outside of Yesh. Have you ever wondered about Totality?"
