Flower Stealing Master

Chapter 718: Detoxification

Guo Jing was initially startled, then said with delight, “So, Young Master Song and Fu’er are acquainted…”

In truth, in Guo Jing’s heart he had always intended to betroth his daughter to Yang Guo, but alas—this time Yang Guo had colluded with the Jin people, leaving him utterly disappointed. Moreover, in the past Huang Rong had mentioned the possibility of uniting Guo Fu with Song Qingshu by marriage.

At first he had hesitated, but now—having been rescued by Song Qingshu himself and having witnessed firsthand that the young man was not only striking in appearance but also possessed martial prowess nearly equal to his own—what more could he desire? Instinctively, he replied, “Young Master Song, you are a true hero in your youth; I, Guo, certainly would not object.”

Seeing that her husband hadn’t the faintest idea what Song Qingshu meant by “the whole family,” Huang Rong, both indignant and anxious, couldn’t help but coo, “Brother Jing~”

She had endured enough herself; how could she possibly let her daughter fall into the clutches of this demon? To actually welcome Song Qingshu as a son-in-law would be nothing short of inviting a wolf into the house!

Guo Jing was taken aback, thinking that his wife was hinting at something. Suddenly, he began to understand—no wonder he’d always felt that something was amiss. Could it be that Song Qingshu’s earlier words were a marriage proposal? But to propose so hastily would be far too rash. “Young Master Song, Fu’er is still rather young—and I must consult her feelings on the matter. As for this…”

Huang Rong exhaled in relief, and was just about to offer an excuse to dismiss the match when Song Qingshu interjected with a timely smile, “That is only natural; of course one should first seek Miss Fu’s opinion. It’s just that I’ve heard Great Hero Guo mention something about chopping off Miss Fu’s arm…”

At the mere mention that he had set his sights on her daughter, Huang Rong was momentarily frantic and on the verge of speaking up—but upon hearing Song Qingshu’s final remark, she quickly changed her mind. Perhaps it would be useful if he could dissuade Brother Jing from that very idea.

Guo Jing gave a wry smile. “Young Master Song, to be honest, my daughter is excellent in every way; it’s just that her temperament is exceedingly headstrong, which led her to commit a grave mistake in the past…” Then he briefly recounted how Guo Fu had chopped off Yang Guo’s hand.

Song Qingshu, though well aware of the full story, pretended as if he were hearing it for the first time and answered, “Great Hero Guo, with Yang Guo’s collusion with the Jin people this time, one might say that your daughter is, in a way, ridding the people of a menace.”

Huang Rong, uncharacteristically, found herself in agreement. She had never cared much for Yang Guo and could never fathom why her husband was so fond of him.

Guo Jing sighed deeply. “Yang Guo’s father died because of us all those years ago, and now Fu’er has had the temerity to chop off one of his arms. Perhaps it is precisely because of this that he has irrevocably set himself upon the path of no return. In truth, Fu’er is the root of all our misfortune.”

Hearing Guo Jing criticize his precious daughter, Huang Rong couldn’t help but, in a tone laced with mild anger, exclaim, “Brother Jing!”

Song Qingshu patted her lower back, signaling for her to calm down, and said, “Great Hero Guo, there’s no need for you to hold any grudges. Since the matter started with Miss Fu, her affairs are now mine to bear—and I will shoulder the entire responsibility.”

“How could that be!” Guo Jing replied with evident embarrassment. “How could I possibly be the one to chop off Young Master Song’s arm?”

Off to the side, Huang Rong flushed deeply and thought, ‘If you knew what he is doing to your wife, you wouldn’t be satisfied with merely chopping off one of his arms.’

Noticing the flush on her cheeks—which only added to her allure—Song Qingshu felt a stir in his heart. He could roughly guess what she was thinking. With a teasing smile directed at her, he said, “Great Hero Guo, you misunderstand me entirely. I would never push you into such an unjust predicament.”

“Then what exactly do you mean, Young Master Song?” Guo Jing asked, momentarily dumbfounded.

Song Qingshu answered slowly, “Actually, Yang Guo and I share a certain connection…”

After briefly recounting the matter of rescuing Xiao Longnu, he continued, “I have a life-saving debt to Xiao Longnu; considering that, he will surely not pursue the matter concerning Fu’er any further.” ᚱἈ𝐍𝘰ᛒËş

Huang Rong couldn’t help but exclaim in delight, “That’s wonderful! Yang Guo loves Xiao Longnu so dearly that if he knew you once saved her, he’d absolutely be willing to let bygones be bygones.”

Amid her joy, she suddenly recalled Xiao Longnu’s ethereally elegant beauty, and a secret suspicion crept into her heart: ‘With that b*stard’s temperament, I refuse to believe he hasn’t been smitten by Xiao Longnu—her beauty once utterly astonished me… The very thought of the admonishments I once offered her as her elder made my cheeks burn; if in the end both of them end up conquered by the same man, how could I ever face her again?’

“Xiao Longnu…” Guo Jing sighed, “Given Yang Guo’s deep affection for her, it’s highly likely that he will not press this matter further. But still—they are, after all, bound by a master-disciple relationship, and such a union clearly defies the rules of propriety.”

At his words, Huang Rong shuddered all over. Instinctively, she turned toward Song Qingshu and found him gazing at her with a half-smile, half-smirk. Embarrassed and irate, she wished she could simply vanish into the floor.

“Defy propriety? Rong’er, do you think what exists between us is against propriety?” Song Qingshu’s infuriating voice echoed in her mind.

It wasn’t merely a breach of propriety—it was scandalous, utterly shocking! Huang Rong almost longed to seize the nearby table and smash it into that bastard’s face, though she knew such thoughts would remain nothing more than idle fantasies.

“Great Hero Guo is right; after all, they are bound by a master-disciple relationship, and to overstep that boundary is indeed contrary to natural order,” Song Qingshu remarked while mischievously giving a few light thrusts in Huang Rong’s canal a few times. His playful antics made her delicate b0dy tremble, leaving her with little strength to chide him.@@novelbin@@

“Yang Guo has strayed onto the wrong path; I, Guo, only regret that I did not instruct him better.” In his agitated state, the potent poison within Guo Jing was triggered, and he coughed up a mouthful of smoky, foul-smelling blood.

“Brother Jing!” Despite the fact that Huang Rong was so thoroughly tormented by Song Qingshu that she wished to die on the spot, half of her heart was still with her husband. Seeing that the blood he spat out was entirely smoky in hue and reeked terribly, she knew all too well just how vicious this poison was.

“Madame Guo, do not worry—I’m here.” Hearing Song Qingshu’s voice, Huang Rong, uncharacteristically, found him not so detestable after all; instead, his presence gradually soothed her troubled heart.

“Please, save him. As long as you can save him, I won’t hold anything against you,” she pleaded, tugging on Song Qingshu’s sleeve.

Meanwhile, Guo Jing was busy mustering his inner true Qi to suppress the poison, unaware of the unusual tone in his wife’s words.

Though he had already completely possessed her b0dy—and though each time she had briefly lost herself in the rapture of their union—Song Qingshu understood that deep within, she had always resisted in her own way. Hearing her soft, pleading tone like this was entirely unprecedented.

Song Qingshu nodded. “Very well.” Without further delay, he swiftly sealed several acupoints on Guo Jing’s body, and a mighty, overwhelming surge of true Qi flowed into him.

“Hng~”

Perhaps due to Song Qingshu channeling his full martial prowess, his shaft inside her b0dy inadvertently swelled a little more. Huang Rong let out a soft m0an and quickly covered her lips, fearful of disturbing the two.

Before long, waves of heat emanated from both of them. Huang Rong watched as sweat beaded on her husband’s forehead, and with tender concern, she used a handkerchief to wipe it away.

Song Qingshu, of course, noticed her gesture and, in a low, cold tone transmitted directly into her mind, said, “I have sweat on my head as well—why don’t you come and wipe it for me?”

Huang Rong bit her lip, hesitated for a moment, but eventually extended the handkerchief toward him. Seizing the opportunity, Song Qingshu wrapped his arm around her fragrant shoulder, drawing her close to his chest, and lowered his head to press his lips against her luscious, dripping red l!ps.

‘You b*stard!’ Huang Rong cried, her apricot eyes wide as she instinctively grasped her husband’s hand beside her.
