Chapter 144: Chapter 125: The Identity of the QQ Tycoon
“Youu Come to Play” entrance, the flyers in the trash can were too conspicuous.
There was no way around it, the words “Technology University” were printed very large on the flyers.
Anyone who glanced at them couldn’t help but notice.
And since Dean Zhang and Director Li were leaders at the school, seeing heaps of their own school’s flyers stuffed into a large trash can must have given them some thoughts!
The two of them took a quick look and knew right away that it was about a debate competition and a flea market.
After exchanging looks, they focused their attention on Cheng Zhu.
“What’s going on here?” Director Li frowned and pointed at the trash bin.
Cheng Zhu had just greeted them voluntarily, clearly a student from their school.
A simple question caused Wang Yuan, the vice director of the external affairs department, to inwardly curse, realizing something was amiss.
Damn, why are school leaders suddenly showing up at this claw machine store!
This Cheng Zhu was really off-putting, even taking the initiative to greet them!
Wang Yuan had watched as Cheng Zhu walked outside the store and quickly tossed the trash can aside.
But as he stepped forward to greet them, he picked up the trash can again!
“Fuck me! I thought you were just an arrogant prick flaunting your money! Turns out you’re a sneaky one!” Wang Yuan was truly flabbergasted.
Cheng Zhu, facing the two school leaders, started with a simple introduction, “Dean Zhang, and this teacher, my name is Cheng Zhu, and I own this claw machine store.”
Upon hearing this, the two exchanged another look.
They had specifically come for this store and, unexpectedly, had run into this student.
After a necessary introduction, Cheng Zhu continued, “Before I arrived at the store, six people from the external affairs department were busy handing out flyers, and this is the store’s trash can.”
Director Li glanced at the six individuals not far away and frowned, “You students, come here.”
Wang Yuan pursed his lips, reluctantly leading them over and gently advised in a low voice, “Talk less.”
Director Li, looking at them sternly, asked, “Why are you distributing flyers for a school event in someone else’s store, and why does such a small store need six people?”
The first part of his question was about the event—it felt odd; shouldn’t flyers be distributed within the school? Who does business like this?
Being in charge of the entrepreneurship center, dealing with numerous entrepreneurs, how could he not find such actions detestable?
The latter part of his question was about the appropriateness—the store was so small, and having six people inside to hand out flyers was excessive!
The two had walked all the way from the campus, chatting as they went.
Along the street, they saw no flyers anywhere else.
Logically speaking, given contemporary people’s manners, flyers would typically be thrown anywhere.
But it was just this claw machine store that had flyers—gosh, were they targeting this store only?
In the eyes of the school leaders, not distributing flyers at school gates but running to someone else’s store was a misdirection in the first place.
Moreover, stuffing six people into a small claw machine store, and not distributing anywhere else, seemed a bit like… slacking off?
So, was this how you completed the task for the school event?
Wang Yuan quickly nodded, immediately admitting their mistake with a sincere attitude.
Arguing now felt like it would escalate into a big problem!
After admitting the mistake, he led the group away like scared dogs.
Seeing them leave, Cheng Zhu handed the trash can to Wang Wei, standing nearby, and instructed in front of the two school leaders, “From now on, when members of the student council come to the store for sponsorship and promotion like today, you need to notify me immediately so I can rush over to cooperate, got it?”
“Rush over to cooperate? Boss, are you sure you’re here to ‘cooperate’ with them?” Wang Wei mused internally.
You just snatched an unissued flyer from their hands and stuffed it into the trash can right in front of them, talk about audacity!
But having worked in society for three years, she wasn’t foolish enough not to grasp Cheng Zhu’s implication, and she quickly nodded, “Sure, boss.”
Director Pei, hearing this, couldn’t help but frown slightly.
“The external affairs department came for sponsorship?” he asked.
“Um, they came once when the store opened, said they were discussing sponsorship fees, but I was too busy that day to get into the details,” Cheng Zhu calmly fibbed.
Wang Wei internally grumbled, “Boss, that day you bluntly told them you juggle tens of thousands daily and couldn’t spare them any attention—I was there and felt quite refreshed hearing that.”
The butt decides the brain, as part of the store; she was thrilled by Cheng Zhu.
A simple comment made Dean Zhang’s expression sour.
It was true that the external affairs department sought sponsorships for various student activities, but imposing on a business that just opened, just started making money back, to extract funds—what kind of practice was that? Was this a meeting for sponsorship or was the student council demanding a tribute from student entrepreneurs?
Reflecting, they remembered that six guys had come.
Did discussing sponsorships require six mouths, six grown men?
It was hard not to speculate…
“Has the external affairs department’s culture declined this much?” The two school leaders couldn’t help but share a tacit sentiment in their minds.
But after exchanging glances, they said nothing in front of Cheng Zhu.
What do you think?
