Chapter 263
Even with how ridiculously strong I had become, a swift breakthrough was impossible. The 50 billion HP that had blatantly exceeded the system’s limits was simply that absurd.
And the biggest problem was the battlefield divided in half by a barrier.
Even if I pushed myself to the limit and whittled the Ice Sword’s HP down to 1, the battle wouldn’t end unless Kris’s side defeated the Flame Sword as well. In every dual-boss case we had encountered so far in elite dungeons, both bosses had to be taken down for the fight to conclude.
On top of that, if one side’s HP dropped significantly, the other would go berserk. The difference couldn’t exceed 5%, or else the fight would spiral out of control. That meant I couldn’t even go all out.
I had poured an entire day into attempts. I had barely survived multiple near-death moments. Since I didn’t want Isulbi’s body to take damage, I also had to preserve Rain’s body, making every single attempt feel like walking on thin ice.
"Still, it wasn’t a complete waste."
"A special pattern appears at 95%. At this level, it's something current players can realistically encounter, but... the execution method is extremely dangerous."
"Maybe it really is too much for just the two of us this time."
Kris let out a sigh, looking dejected.
The Ice Sword and the Flame Sword—even for a veteran raid leader like Kris, they felt like an insurmountable wall.
She wasn’t the only one feeling this way. The dozens of elite raiding parties, each composed of twelve members, must have been just as overwhelmed.
I clung to Kris and whined.
"How can you say something so weak, sis?"
"Huuuk, you’re right! I can’t afford to be discouraged! Even if you’re the one doing the heavy lifting, I still need to figure out the strategy!"@@novelbin@@
Kris’s eyes lit up with determination, and she started hopping up and down with clenched fists.
What do you think?
