Guo He Ru pointed at a patch of open area and said, "There."

The three of them slowly approached and got near the Ice Tusk Elephant.

The trunk missed as Lin Fan stepped onto the air and changed his direction with the Chain Leap ability.

Now, Lin Fan was facing the Ice Tusk Elephant at its front.

He injected Qi into the spear; it glowed with a white light, and Lin Fan thrust it at the Ice Tusk Elephant's head.

The Ice Tusk Elephant quickly tried to stop the spear with its trunk.

But the trunk was sliced off by the slicing wave from the spear.

The very next moment, it could only give out a loud cry in pain as the slicing wave penetrated its tough skin and skull.

The head exploded, sending debris of red and white mass flying all over the open patch.

Slowly, the huge body of the Ice Tusk Elephant fell to the side, shaking the ground and giving out a loud thud.

After a few hours of trekking, they finally got to the entrance of the Medicine Valley.

"Enjoyed your sightseeing?" the guards said as they saw Lin Fan, Ho Ming, and Guo He Ru come out empty-handed.

These amateurs think they could just waltz in and get valuable herbs without the help of the guild, they thought.

"Have you seen our merchants?" Someone from the guild came over to the guards and asked.

"Oh, the three of them with old hunter Loo? Haven't seen them come out yet," the guard replied.

The person from the guild thought for a moment, then quickly went into the Medicine Valley to search for them.

"What's with him?" one of the guards asked, as it was odd for the guild's member to be so anxious.

"They were trying to gather herbs for the guild master's daughter," a guard familiar with the matter explained.

When Lin Fan got back to the inn, it was already time for dinner.

They washed up, rested for a while, and came down for their dinner.

Lin Fan, Ho Ming, and Guo He Ru, with their young faces, made them think that they were just normal merchants trying out their hands at gathering herbs.

"Do we have enough Dragon's Tail Grass?"

"More than enough for hundreds of pills," Guo He Ru replied.

"Great." Lin Fan was glad, but he wasn't so anxious to exchange the Dragon's Tail Grass for the Golden Core Ascension Pill.

He wasn't the one in need after all.
