The man was young, in his twenties.

He wore a white robe and had an aura around him that was cold and sharp, just like a sword.

Even his glance at Lin Fan was quick and sharp.

The guards let him in and turned their focus on Lin Fan.

"Who are you? And why are you here?" one of the guards asked.

"I have a message for Sima Liang from Lin Fan," Lin Fan said.

When the guard heard Lin Fan's name, he quickly smiled and politely asked him to wait while he checked with Sima Liang.@@novelbin@@

The guards knew how close Sima Liang was to Lin Fan, so they wouldn't want to offend a messenger from him.

"Please wait at the pavilion outside the guest room. The guest earlier is having a discussion with our family head right now."

The guard explained and led Lin Fan to the pavilion outside the guest room.

Servants then quickly brought tea and refreshments for him.

Lin Fan was curious about what the young visitor wanted.

He sat in the pavilion, sipped his tea, and used his Sound Memory ability to listen to what they were talking about.

Sima Liang's voice was impatient.

Lin Fan turned and glanced over at Sima Liang and said, "Remember the wolf mask."

"The wolf mask... You..." Sima Liang realized it was Lin Fan but quickly stopped himself.

Lin Fan pulled Sima Liang behind him and turned to Jian Xin.

"I'm Guo He Ru, a victim of Lin Fan too.

'Guo He Ru' said with a pleading look.

This caught Jian Xin by surprise, and he didn't know how to respond.

This surprised Jian Xin.

He didn't think too highly of the Peach Wood Sword.

But now he knew it was of a higher level than his sword.

The next moment, Lin Fan saw Jian Xin lunging toward him with his sword aiming for his head.

He used his Chain Leap ability and got out of the guest room.

Lin Fan wanted to battle Jian Xin in a wider area and get him away from Sima Liang.
