From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

As the teenage boy got near, the inquiry stone gave out a yellow glow, and the glow turned into a man's figure in peak muscular form.

Sun Hai's eyes beamed with happiness when he saw it happen.

He stood up and put his hands onto the boy's shoulders.

"What's your name? You have the Physique Cultivation Root, are you willing to join the Physique Peak?" Sun Hai asked.

The teenage boy turned and looked at his mother.

His mother gave him an approving nod and said, "Join them, young master Lin Fan has just saved our fields, you will be in safe hands."

She lifted her arm and wiped her face with her sleeves.

Tears of joy had made her eyes watery.

She knew what it meant for their family with her son joining Qing Feng Sect.

There would no longer be autumn tax for her and even if her son didn't do well, he could leave the sect and open a martial arts school a few years later.

"I'm Liang Feng. I'm willing to join the Physique Peak." The teenage boy, Liang Feng, bowed and said.

"Good. I assure you that you've made the right choice." Sun Hai patted Liang Feng's shoulder and said.

Liang Feng nodded and walked over to his mother's side.

Lin Fan sat and observed Liang Feng's every action.

Liang Feng was respectful to elders and found a chair for his mother to sit on.

This was a good sign and Lin Fan was happy with what he saw.

A few more of those in line came up next and it was the same result for them.

This time it was a teenage girl who came alone.

She was dressed in clothes that had patches on them.

Even though she looked tired and frail, there was strong determination in her eyes.

The other villagers and the teenagers looked on with anticipation.

They knew that she needed this chance the most.

She had no fields to grow food and no support from her deceased parents.

It would be a matter of survival whether she could join the Qing Feng Sect.

The villagers pointed at the inquiry stone as it glowed in a yellow glow.

And the glow turned into a woman's figure.

"Great!" Zhang Xi stood up and came up to the teenage girl.

"What's your name? Come join me in the Physique Peak!" She held her hands onto the teenage girl's hands.

It surprised Zhang Xi when she felt how rough the skin of the teenage girl's hand was.

The teenage girl must have been used to hard labor, and she could most likely tolerate the painful process physique cultivators had to go through.

Making her a great candidate for a new disciple.

"I'm Shao Xue Cong. Please let me join the Physique Peak. I promise you I will work twice as hard as the others."

Shao Xue Cong stood up straight, looked at Zhang Xi with her eyes and clenched her fist.

"You're more than welcome. Don't worry, I treat my juniors very well." Zhang Xi said and she glanced over at Lin Fan.

Lin Fan shrugged and gave her a smile.

Shao Xue Cong saw what transpired and she kept quiet.

Young master Lin Fan was after all young, handsome and capable.

"Next," Sun Hai called out to the next person in line.

This went on for another incense worth of time and soon, there was only one person left.

"Master doesn't need to call for me. Please spare your voice. You've been calling out loudly for so long." The teenage boy bowed and walked towards Sun Hai by himself.

He was bold and confident, unlike most of the other teenage boys and girls.

Even as he got near, he was still all smiles and cheer.

The inquiry stone glowed and gave out the familiar yellow glow.

"Nice! Three disciples in just one village!" Sun Hai was happy at the results.

He stood up and placed his hands on the teenage boy's shoulder.

Surprisingly, the teenage boy was muscular and fit under his friendly and smiling demeanor.

The teenage boy smiled, bowed and said, "Master, I'm Lin Xuan Qi, more than happy to join the Qing Feng Sect."

Sun Hai smiled and said, "Great, do bear in mind that there will be tough training. Are you mentally and physically prepared for it?"

He had doubts about the teenage boy's perseverance as he seems to be aloof so far from what he had exhibited.

Lin Xuan Qi bowed and said, "Rest assured about that. I've faced life and death many times while hunting and tough training would never deter me."

He took off his shirt and showed his body full of scars.

There were bite marks and scratch marks made by beasts all over his body.

Lin Fan nodded at what he saw, and it explained to him why Lin Xuan Qi's character seemed to be aloof.

"All right, the rest of you can get back to what you should be doing," Sun Hai shouted at the villagers and those who didn't have any cultivation roots.

Everyone left with a sigh, knowing that their lives would sadly remain the same as before.

Sun Hai then briefed Liang Feng, Shao Xue Cong and Lin Xuan Qi what to prepare.

Lin Fan took the opportunity and took a walk in the village.
