Chapter 1251
Chapter 1251: 569 Indulge_2 Chapter 1251: 569 Indulge_2 Alaric Moore’s hand, dangling at his side, unconsciously clenched into a fist.
Before the man’s gaze swept over her, she lowered her eyes without any change in her expression.
Her eyes were fixated on a particular point on the report card, as the incessant voice of Felicio Linggo’s mother lingered in her ear: “Mr.
Harris is really handsome.
Our precious son always speaks well of him.
Just by looking at him, one can see that he’s a gentleman.
I wonder if he’s married…”
Alaric’s mind was in chaos.
...
Maybe it was just someone who looked a little similar.
It couldn’t be him.
“The results of this month’s exams have come out, and I assume all parents have already seen them.
Here, I would like to particularly commend Hellena Groove and Titi Groove.
Are the parents of these two students present?”
Countless eyes landed on Alaric.
Alaric closed his eyes, and courageously stood up.
Under her sleeves, her hands slightly clenched.
She slowly lifted her head, her clear eyes staring straight ahead.
Christopher Harris was taken aback momentarily, but quickly regained his composure and smiled amiably, “It must be the sister of Hellena and Titi.
Both students showed excellent results.
If you have any valuable parenting experience to share with the other parents, I am sure they would be more than happy to learn something.”
“I apologize, Mr.
Harris, I don’t have any experience to share.
The two children are naturally intelligent and hardworking, therefore their achievement is only to be expected.”
Alaric responded forthrightly, her tone firm.
The gentle impression she had initially left everyone with instantly vanished.
The man on the podium smiled, “You’re right, I wasn’t thinking properly.”
Alaric sat back down.
Alaric couldn’t remember what Christopher was saying afterwards.
Those long-lost memories began to slowly resurface.
Alaric left as soon as the parent meeting ended, not looking back.
Even the small sprint Felicio’s mother made could not help catch up to her.
“My big sister is leaving.” Titi Groove, eagle-eyed, was the first to spot Alaric leaving the classroom.
Hellena glanced at her, seeing Alaric heading towards the corridor’s end where the bathroom was located.
“Don’t you think our big sister has changed a lot since she woke up?”
Titi Groove shrugged, “But she indeed is our big sister.”
“One day I told her that Liev likes her candied fruit skewers the most.
My sister said, ‘Sure, I will continue to make them for Liev when I have time.’
Titi sighed, “She is not our big sister.”
Liev does love candied fruit skewers, but she likes the ones my sister bought from the town at the foot of the mountain.
My sister can’t even cook, how could she make candied fruit skewers?
She never learned the skill of being creative and handy.”
“She can even cook, but our real big sister only knows how to set the kitchen on fire.
Otherwise, Aubree’s culinary skills wouldn’t be so good.
She was forced to become good because of our big sister’s lack of skills.” Hellena picked up a tree leaf, her tone depressing.
“Even though I’m picky and lazy, she just smiles about it.
If it were our real big sister, she would have chased after me with a broomstick by now.”
“Sometimes she pretends to be fierce, but she doesn’t know that her acting skills are incredibly bad.” Hellena showed a look of disdain.
“But Aubree says she is our big sister.” Titi pointedly remarked.
The two looked at each other.
Aubree is so smart that she shouldn’t have failed to notice, but it seemed like she got along very well with this “big sister”.
Hellena pouted her lips, “I really don’t understand what these adults are thinking about.”
The parents streamed out, each of them had their own business to attend to, and they weren’t familiar with each other either.
Soon, they all left the school.
It was then that Christopher Harris finally left the classroom.
“Mr.
Harris also has secrets.”
A cunning glint flashed at the bottom of Hellena’s eyes.
She had an idea, and stealthily followed after him.
Alaric splashed a handful of cold water on her face, the sudden chill waking her somewhat.
She stared at the face in the mirror.
Every morning, she would look at this incredibly unfamiliar face in the mirror, and always feel an eerie sense of displacement.
All those sweet, sour, painful memories flooded back, almost submerging her.
It turned out that those memories she had intentionally chosen to forget would not disappear with the passing of time.
Alaric unconsciously touched the Buddhist beads on her wrist, steadied herself, adjusted her clothes, and went out.
The men’s and women’s restrooms were built facing each other, with a wash sink in between.
As soon as Alaric walked out of the women’s restroom, she ran into Christopher Harris coming out of the men’s restroom.
Alaric lowered her head and walked out quickly.
At this moment, the man’s clear voice came from behind her.
“Charlotte?
Please wait.”
Alaric took a deep breath, and turned around with a smile: “Mr.
Harris, is there anything else?”
What do you think?
