The bathroom was quiet, only the faint sound of running water persisted tirelessly.

Qiao Yi’s eyes gradually reddened, while Lu Yanchuan across from her furrowed his brows tightly, only speaking after a long while.

“So you married me not because of an arranged marriage?”

Even though Lu Yanchuan said that, Qiao Benqing was still dissatisfied and insisted that Qiao Yi come back.

Qiao Benqing used his phone to call Qiao Yi, but the call was met with a message that her phone was turned off.

“Who are you guys? Where’s Gu Ting? Where did he run off to?”

Qiao Yi squinted at the strange men and swatted away the hand reaching for her, still aware enough to help Feng Siyu as they tried to walk away together.

“Don’t leave, forget about whatever Gu Ting. But I, your brother Zhao, am more than willing to keep you company, haha!”
