Chapter 286 279 Lu Zhao's Explosion Plan (Part 2)

The Governor of the Lvzhao Civilization's joint governing body was extremely anxious at this moment.

"Damn those Earthlings, they indeed have provoked the Teizene civilization, and the Teizenes have indeed come to deal with them. However, we are just outside the Danlu Interstellar Cloud, becoming an excellent stepping stone for them. The Teizenes will certainly not let us go," he said.

The Lvzhao civilization practiced a system of high-degree universal democracy, where the highest leadership was actually composed of three people: the Governor, the Second Governor, and the Third Governor.

The Second Governor suggested, "Why don't we take this opportunity to express our goodwill toward the Teizene civilization and propose to join them in dealing with the Earthlings? After all, we have a grudge against the Earthlings, and the vendetta of the Sixth Defense Fleet should be avenged."

The Third Governor was somewhat more sober-minded, "The Teizenes are known throughout the Galaxy for their brutality and tyranny. How could they possibly choose to cooperate with us? Moreover, they have come a long way, and nearly everywhere they go, they slaughter and eat the local population for entertainment. It's very possible that we'll be their next meal..."

When facing the Teizenes, the Lvzhao people completely lost the arrogance they had when dealing with the Earthlings. The Earthlings had given them a big setback, not to mention the notoriously fierce Teizene civilization of the Galaxy.

The Governor didn't want to take this responsibility, thus he said, "Convene the Grand Council so that the councilors can discuss how we should deal with the current situation."

The Second and Third Governors exchanged glances, both understanding that this was actually just a delay tactic. However, there was no use in delaying now; it was possible that the Teizenes would have already landed on Lvzhao star before the Grand Council could come to a conclusion.

The Governor was not foolish; he directly informed the Lvzhao Fleet not to initiate conflict with the Teizene Fleet, and if gunfire did break out, they were to evade as the main priority, forbidding any proactive shooting at Teizene ships.

This was tantamount to voluntarily castrating their own combat ability, although even if they really engaged in combat, it was unlikely that they would do much damage to the Teizene warships.

Tens of light years away in the Solar System, Bai Zhongqi could detect any decision made by Lvzhao star.

Zero, holding an ice cream and licking it with a pink little tongue, said, "Your Majesty's arrangements in the Frost River Galaxy seem to be effective. It's the lower civilizations like the Lvzhao people who have no idea what we've done in their galaxy, and the Teizenes are not aware of our presence, thinking that all the facilities in the galaxy were the work of Lvzhao people."

Bai Zhongqi remained as calm as still water, his shoulders now bearing an ever heavier weight. Even though the Star Alliance had its own operating system, the Universe Army was still too immature, leaving him no leisure time. He was actually in charge of the most crucial force within the Star Alliance. People like Xu Lanzhou from the Universe Army could relax a bit because they knew they had Bai Zhongqi as their last resort. The Chancellor's Supreme Command would come into full operation when the Universe Army personnel couldn't cope, facing the enemy directly.

And there was nobody behind Bai Zhongqi; he was the Earth's last hope.

His arrangements in the Frost River Galaxy were the first part of the grand campaign in the war against Teizene aggression. If it went well, Bai Zhongqi could significantly weaken the opponent, thereby giving the Star Alliance an advantage.

Almost every commander within the Universe Army was aware that even though Teizene was only a level seventeen civilization, its military scale was terrifyingly large. They had dispatched merely 1,000 warships, yet behind them, they could send 2,000 more, even 3,000. However, despite the Star Alliance's strong manufacturing capabilities, it currently had a mere 700 warships at most, and many required the coordination of Bai Zhongqi and AI.

This was an asymmetrical clash; in order to achieve victory, Earthlings had to push themselves to the limit and employ every strategy at their disposal.

"They're here." Zero, as the Chancellor's direct assistant who had access to all of the Star Alliance's surveillance equipment, was second only to the Chancellor in terms of authority.

Gazing at the holographic star map that filled the entire room, Bai Zhongqi could see every detail of the Frost River Galaxy. At that moment, a large number of Teizene vessels had reached warp speed to enter the Frost River Galaxy unchallenged, as the Lvzhao Civilization possessed no anti-warp technology.

Zero seemed to grow tense as well and said to Bai Zhongqi, "In about 11 minutes, Teizene warships will emerge from the warp bubble, and then we can proceed with the detonation."

Bai Zhongqi nodded but replied, "No rush."

He appeared calm, yet in fact, he could no longer sit still; he stood before the star map, hardly blinking as he watched every second of movement on it.

At the far end of deep space, the Teizene Fleet led by the Sixteenth Prince, Su Beisi, was concluding their brief warp speed journey. The warships formed into neat formations. More astonishingly, the Teizene Fleet lacked an automatic command program; it was as if the pilots from Earth's olden days, who could fly their planes in various orderly formations. Crew members aboard thousands of Teizene vessels, entirely reliant on manual control, could align the fleet into neat arrays.

The efforts expended to achieve this were immense, further confirming why Teizene was considered a formidable military power in the Galaxy.

Lacking any streamlined or simplistic design, Teizene warships were infamous for their ferocity and complexity. Covered with all sorts of weapons that seemed discordantly jumbled, from large to small cannons and other armaments, including part of the ship designed to symbolize valor and impressive claws. When a mass of Teizene warships gathered, the oppressive force was natural, suffocatingly overwhelming.

At Changxiu Base, Xu Lanzhou and a host of Universe Army generals were also watching the same scene. The size of the arriving Teizene warships was mind-boggling. Even a seasoned Iridium Star general like Xu Lanzhou couldn't help feeling unsettled at the sight. Many officers who had transferred to the Universe Army from various nations on Earth were visibly sweating, with some even trembling.

The command center fell into silence, suffocating as it was. No one could find words to say at this moment. Even though the Star Alliance had similarly assembled a vast fleet, it had never been deployed collectively before. The mere sight of the giant, fearsome Teizene warships was enough to instill panic, and when people thought that this was merely the first wave of the Teizene's invasion of the Danlu Interstellar Cloud, any confidence in the war effort plummeted.

Xu Lanzhou was worried, fretful, and wanted to see what was happening in the command center of the Wuyagong, to ascertain the condition of her pillar of strength, the Chancellor of the United Empire.

"Your Majesty, when will you launch this sudden strike?" Xu Lanzhou wondered.
