While everyone was busy outside, Shane was looking at his Weapon Store to find any valuables as he was preparing to conquer the Dreadnight Fortress soon. He was expecting that this stronghold would be stronger than the Maggotfall Citadel so he had to be prepared.

[ Phantom Crossbow ( Rare ): A lightweight, high-precision crossbow that fires heavy bolts. Normal bolts will become enchanted bolts that can pierce through multiple low-tier zombies in a single shot.

[ Hot Hammer ( Exceptional ): A massive warhammer with a mysterious Fire Element Core. Each strike not only crushes its target but also sets them ablaze.

"Crossbows for the Elves and Hammers for the Super Soldiers I guess." Shane muttered as he saw the first two items. Seeing that they were very cheap, he didn't hesitate to obtain purchase them all.

He could also upgrade them and once they become Master or Epic Grade, they would surely have some other effects that could make his people stronger.

He then continued with the next items.

[ Toxic Gas Grenade ( Rare ): A grenade that releases a cloud of toxic gas upon detonation, melting living targets from the inside out. The gas lingers for a short time, creating a hazardous zone that slows and weakens anyone who passes through it.

There, he found its full item description and realized that the gas could only affect those with 50 Strength Points or lower. Above, the Toxic Gas would not be effective.

With this in mind, Shane had to upgrade them if he wanted its effect to affect stronger targets. The only concern about this was the fact that it couldn't identify a friend or foe once detonated.

"This is not bad." Shane muttered as he read through it. This was certainly a good item to scout ahead in case he doesn't have Sol or Zephyrion who could use Spirit or Undead Creatures to scout in front.

After this, he opened the Nourishment Store.

[ Radiation-Resistant Jerky: Dried meat cured with a special blend of herbs and chemicals that neutralize radiation. Provides a long-lasting source of energy and grants temporary resistance to environmental radiation.

Shane looked at the first item and he was immediately impressed. Deeper within Sector 20, there should be an area emitting radiation according to the information he gathered in the underground research facility. As a matter of fact, it was the main reason there were plenty of underground bases on the continent. However, it seemed that something had suppressed it. It could be a nature's intervention or it was done by a mystical force like the Mysterious Gray Fog. In any case, this Radiation-Resistant Jerky seemed a really good item so bought all of them since they were quite cheap too.

[ Fortified Protein Bars: Compact, nutrient-dense bars packed with vitamins, minerals, and protein. Perfect for on-the-go survival, these bars restore stamina and provide a slight boost to Strength for a short time.

Finding sugar was not that easy since only one clan was selling them in the Marketplace. The 50 Jars should at least help them with their consumption even just for a few days. Once the quality of food had improved, he knew that his people's morale would also be higher.

At this time, Shane didn't really mind spending so many Zombie Cores as it was also for everyone's sake.

Then, he turned to the 7-day item.

He could find useless items, but there was a small chance to find really good ones.

"Ah?" Shane's eyes widened after seeing the description of the Frying Pan. At first, he thought that it was just some sort of metaphor but it seemed that it was really indestructible!

It may not be that great as a weapon but it was definitely a good defensive item.

However, it was worth 1,000 Zombie Cores and he could already get a better Epic Item for that.

'Can Marla cook something great with this Frying Pan?' Shane wryly smiled as he sighed and decided to purchase it.

There were also Power Cores and he took all of them.

Then, as Shane was planning to visit the Fairy Realm to check on Axis' situation, he suddenly got a notification from the system.
