Chapter 632: Chapter 332: Qiongtian Mechanical Civilization_2

Clearly, this was the entrance to the underground mechanical race civilization ruins that Ansewei had mentioned.

Without any unnecessary words, shortly after Song Chi released two Void Assassin Clan Soldier Figurines to scout ahead, Ansewei took the lead in piloting the White Rose into the cavern.

Seeing this, and having almost confirmed through the perspective of the Void Assassin Clan Soldier Figurines that there was no danger in the passage just below, Song Chi also controlled the Cang Qiong to follow closely behind.

However, not much time had passed when the two Void Assassin Clan Soldier Figurines, thousands of meters below, suddenly came under attack from all directions. They hardly had any time to react before the two Soldier Figurines completely lost connection.

Regarding this, Song Chi didn’t react too much because the information previously provided by Ansewei had already covered this part.

The ones that destroyed the two Void Assassin Clan Soldier Figurines were the peripheral fire control systems of the Qiongtian Mechanical Civilization ruins. Despite the speed at which the two Soldier Figurines were destroyed, it was purely because of the sheer number of attacks. Focusing on the firepower alone, it was actually quite limited.

...

Relying on the Torch Warship’s Energy Shield, there would be no big problem as long as they could pass through quickly.

With that thought, the two warships that had been racing downwards reached the position of the previous two Void Assassin Clan Soldier Figurines, immediately illuminating the pitch-black corridor with countless small beams of light, indicating the outer perimeters of the civilization’s firepower.

“Accelerate, don’t linger!”

Before the overwhelming net of firepower could envelop them, Ansewei’s voice came first, but her reminder was wholly unnecessary as the Cang Qiong was already racing ahead, even faster than the White Rose.

Hum hum hum!

A multitude of laser beams struck the Five Elements Celestial Energy Shield, causing dense ripples to appear across the shield’s surface.

Even though each laser beam’s individual attack power was limited, with most not even reaching the Defense Value of the Immortal Realm Five Elements Celestial Energy Shield and thus only causing minimum damage of 1 point, the sheer number of beams accumulating damage caused the Shield Value of the Five Elements Celestial Energy Shield to continually decrease.

Finally, after racing downwards for several seconds, the two warships eventually passed through the outer fire control area.

Looking at the energy shields of the two warships now, it was evident that the surface of the Cang Qiong’s shield was significantly brighter, indicating a higher remaining Shield Value, and it was even slowly recharging.

As for the White Rose’s Energy Shield, it was visibly much dimmer.

Catching this detail, Ansewei’s eyes shimmered slightly, realizing that the White Rose was equipped with a Red Quality Energy Shield!

Hum!

Suddenly, the two warships passed through a new isolating Light Gate, and immediately a brand new space appeared before the eyes of Song Chi and Ansewei.

What they had passed previously was just the outer corridor of the ruins; now they were officially entering the interior of the ruins.

Looking around, Song Chi’s eyes showed a trace of astonishment.

The place where their two warships were now was a massive underground square space.

At a glance, the space, entirely constructed of special metal, seemed endless. Numerous giant mechanical devices stood on both sides of this subterranean space. Several Energy Light Gates, appearing to divide the entire underground space into multiple areas horizontally, were arranged in a sequence from near to far, with no fewer than ten gates at first glance.

It was clear to see that the closest four enclosed areas had already been joined together; the Energy Light Gates between them had been completely destroyed. The nodes below the gates, which were used to transmit energy, were covered in extensive burns and corrosion marks. The valuables in these areas had long been pillaged, obviously the handiwork of Ansewei from before.

As Song Chi was swiftly gathering various pieces of information, Ansewei continued to supply additional details.

“Behind the third Light Gate, there were several types of the Mechanical Race, including a large number of Qiongtian Mechanical Civilization standard bipedal robotic dogs and over ten thousand Meat Shield Mechs with Second Rank combat power. There were also hundreds responsible for ranged firepower—a Hellfire Mech Warrior with Third Rank Energy Level, and one Fourth Rank Hellfire Mech!”

Having said that, Ansewei sounded somewhat helpless:

“The Meat Shield Mechs aren’t much of a problem, but those Hellfire Mech’s firepower has already hit Third Rank Level. The combined coverage of thousands of mechs nearly turned the White Rose over, so I didn’t dare to continue attacking the area behind the fourth Energy Light Gate…”

After hearing all this, Song Chi had a fairly clear understanding of the situation.

“Let’s just get down to it. With the combat power of our two cruisers, it’s unlikely we’d be stuck here by those mechanical guardians behind the fourth energy light gate,”

Having said that, without any hesitation, the warships advanced towards the front. When they were less than a hundred thousand meters away from the fourth energy light gate, the muzzles on the warships rotated in unison.

Soon after, a continuous rumble scattered throughout the underground space.

Song Chi and his companion did not directly attack the energy light gate, but instead focused their fire on the energy transmission area below it, significantly speeding up the destruction of the energy light gate.

However, even so, after several days of continuous concentrated fire from the two warships, they still had not completely destroyed the gate, which demonstrated just how exaggerated the defense of the energy light gate was.

Keep in mind, both the Cangqiong and the White Rose had main cannons on board that had been enhanced to a Fifth-Rank Level. Given such an energy level, the fact that the energy light gate could withstand their continuous bombardment for so long was truly astonishing.

“Ansewei, do you know what level of civilization this Qiongtian Mechanical Civilization originally was?”

The strength of this energy light gate made Song Chi suspicious of the civilization that lay behind it.

It seemed impossible for the other party to be just a nascent mechanical civilization; perhaps they were a developed, top-notch, high-level mechanical civilization.

If that were the case, the mechanical creations that might appear behind those subsequent light gates were unpredictable, and they had to be cautious.

Ansewei shook her head. Although she had already explored four areas, she hadn’t obtained more specific information about the Qiongtian Mechanical Civilization.

No matter how formidable the defense of the energy light gate was, it could only be gradually overwhelmed by the continuous bombardment of the two cruisers.

The time came to the eighth day since Song Chi and his companion entered this underground ruin.

That day, Song Chi suddenly spoke up.

“Get ready, the energy light gate is about to shatter!”

Following his words, both of them sharpened their focus, and after a dozen minutes, as the kilometer-long Sword Light Phantasm once again struck the area below the energy light gate.

A sudden increase in sizzling noise was then abruptly cut off by the complete collapse of the fourth energy light gate.

Song Chi and his companion barely had time to think when a barrage of fire rays shot out from behind the collapsing energy light gate.

Well-prepared, Song Chi immediately pressed the fire button.

Right after, two special cobalt bullets dropped from the external mounting devices beneath the Cangqiong, roaring towards the distance.

Shortly after their brief flight, two intense roars followed.

Amid the violent explosions caused by the two special cobalt bullets, the entire barrage of fire rays shooting out from the distance paused for quite some time, and during this opportunity, the Cangqiong and the White Rose continued firing to eliminate as many mechanical units as possible behind the fourth light gate.

When the energy shock wave subsided, Song Chi and his companion finally saw the situation in the fifth segment of the ruins.

Tens of thousands of bipedal mechanical dogs each holding a micro laser cannon, tens of thousands of Second-Rank Meat Shield Mechs, thousands of Third-Rank Hellfire Mech units, and two Fourth-Rank Hellfire Mechs standing three thousand meters tall.

“Hiss!”

Upon seeing this scene, Ansewei inhaled sharply, her delicate face revealing a hint of retreating intent.

In contrast, Song Chi’s expression was much calmer.
