Chapter 2824 Exchange

Chapter 2824  Exchange

In the ship area.

Apart from Fang Heng and his group of elite mercenaries recruited by the Western District Federation, a large number of military personnel from the Federation had also joined the game.

However, the military players were all gathered in the ship's area, relying on the ship to snipe at the mutant worm swarms.

Captain Zoran, hearing a report from his subordinate, was intrigued. They had discovered a new crystal ore deposit located in the desert region to the south.

In the desert, there was a special type of mutant worm that ordinary players could not possibly approach. Yet, they had found the crystal ore there?

His subordinate suggested, "Commander, according to the data transmitted from the star chart, the energy fluctuations from this batch of crystal ore are strong, indicating a large number of spirit crystals stored there. Should we send people to participate in ore collection?"

"No need. Let the mercenaries scout the area first. We will act later," Zoran replied.

"Understood!"

Soon, with another round of spatial transmission initiated by the ship, Fang Heng and his group, along with another player team, were transmitted back to the ship.

Other smaller teams, already familiar with Zoran, quickly submitted the materials they had gathered before using the spatial transition to leave once again.

Fang Heng glanced at them, then turned to Captain Zoran and said, "Captain Zoran, we'd like to exchange some items."

"Of course," Zoran nodded. "Battlefield contribution points can be exchanged through the ship's mainframe anytime, no need for my approval."

"Thank you."

Fang Heng walked to the side and connected to the ship's mainframe.

[Hint: The player is connecting to the star map network. The player's current permission: B-level. The player can exchange certain items with battlefield contribution points.]

A list of exchange options appeared in front of Fang Heng, and he quickly scanned through them.

He found it.

Skill book-Gemstone Refining.

[Hint: The player consumes 2,000,000 battlefield contribution points. Player successfully exchanges: Skill book-Gemstone Refining.]

After the exchange, a skill book appeared in Fang Heng's right hand.

The skill book quickly disintegrated into star-like particles and was absorbed into his body.

[Hint: The player meets the prerequisites for learning this skill. The player has gained the skill-gemstone refining.]

Skill: Gemstone refining (Level 1).

Description: The player can refine certain gemstones. Use gemstones*10 of the same tier as material for refining. There is a 5% + skill level% chance to obtain a higher-tier gemstone.

Description: The player can refine raw crystal ores. Upon successful refining, they will obtain gemstones of the corresponding quality. There is a small chance to gain a higher-quality gemstone (50% success rate, 5% for a great success).

Description: The player can refine gemstones of Level F and below.

Additional description: The success rate is influenced by the player's skill level and mental strength. A maximum of 15% additional success rate can be gained through mental strength. The raw materials will be destroyed after refining.

Additional description: The skill can be leveled up to Level 50.

Fang Heng looked at the skill description, contemplating it for a moment.

The initial success rate for gemstone refining was low and would depend heavily on skill and spirit attributes. However, at the highest level, the success rate could reach 70%, which was more than sufficient.

It was just a matter of slowly refining gemstones to level up the skill.

With a rough idea in his mind, Fang Heng looked up and said, "Zaka, let's go."

"Huh?"

Zaka, who had been preparing to submit the crystal ores they had gathered as spoils and exchange them for battlefield contribution points, froze for a moment when he heard Fang Heng's words. "We're leaving?"

What did that mean?

Were theyn't turning in the mission?

But they were already at full capacity with their backpacks.

Zaka had a strange look on his face, but seeing Fang Heng's calm expression, he realized he wasn't joking. So, he retracted his hand and returned to Fang Heng's side.

After all, all the gemstones had been acquired through Fang Heng, so if he said not to turn them in, they wouldn't.

Better to stick close to the person leading them.

Zaka understood it very clearly: since they had chosen to rely on Fang Heng, they would stick with him.

"We're leaving."

As Fang Heng spoke, he casually took the remaining multi-functional engineer shovels, left out for players to take, and placed them into his backpack. He then returned to the blue transition pillar of light, along with Su Guantong and the others, disappearing quickly from the ship.

Captain Zoran watched their departure thoughtfully, having observed their every movement carefully.

He asked, "What did they just exchange?"

A nearby guard quickly checked the data and nodded, replying, "They exchanged for a skill book on gemstone refining."

Zoran raised an eyebrow, a glint of interest appearing in his eyes, "Are you sure?"

The guard, startled by Zoran's reaction, quickly checked the instrument again.

"Yes, the player who exchanged for the skill book is Fang Heng. He, along with three other members, was invited to join the Star Map Project today."

The guard had spoken cautiously, casting a glance at Zoran, thinking to himself, why was the captain reacting so strongly?

The guard saw that Zoran's expression did not change, so he continued his report, "Additionally, the three of them were specially approved by the Guard Unit to join."

"I see."

Zoran lightly tapped his fingers on his pants leg, his face showing a hint of curiosity.

They were specially approved by the Guard Unit...

They've only been in the game for a little over an hour, and they've already gathered so many contribution points to exchange for the gemstone refining skill book?

His guess seemed right; they were likely the players who had discovered the new mining point.

But why did they exchange it for the refining skill book? Was it to refine gemstones themselves? How long would it take to refine them?

Zoran's face showed more curiosity.

Interesting!

...

Half an hour later, Fang Heng and his group returned to the underground cave in the forest.

Zaka and the others were puzzled, but they followed Fang Heng's instructions and stacked the ores they had gathered earlier on the ground.

Then, they watched as Fang Heng stood alone in the center of the cave.

Just as they were feeling confused, Zate suddenly had a jolt in his eyelids.

He saw several rapidly rotating magic arrays appear under Fang Heng's feet.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

A large number of Lickers rapidly sprang out of the magic arrays!

Zaka was stunned, his eyes fixed on the flashing magic arrays.

A summoning spell?

Good grief!

He could summon so many!?

In the blink of an eye, the Lickers that continuously poured out of the magic arrays filled half of the underground cave!

The summoning continued until there were about three thousand Lickers, and only then did the magic arrays stop appearing.

Suddenly, Fang Heng's summoned creatures made Zaka realize something.

No way?

Zaka's heart skipped a beat as he turned and stared at Fang Heng among the swarm of Lickers, his eyes full of disbelief.

"Hey, brothers..." Zaka swallowed, speaking softly. "Could it be that this Fang Heng...?"

Zate nodded and said, "Yeah, I think he must be the World Lord, Fang Heng."

"Wait, what?" Zaka turned to Zate and Su Guantong, who both had calm expressions, and said in surprise, "You two knew already? I'm the only one who just figured it out?"
