Chapter 758: 755, Unexpected Meeting_1
PS: My apologies. I got home late today. Hence, I posted these two chapters unedited. If you see this message, please refresh the page after an hour to view the revised version.
In the following ten minutes or so, the distant creature changed its aura three to four times.
Some were as harmless as a little electric mouse, while others seemed like the most ferocious beasts, their power overwhelming and unparalleled.
Sky Dragon grasped the creature’s intention.
The creature’s ferocious aura likely was to scare her into leaving, thus exposing any weaknesses for it to take advantage of.
But when the creature switched back to the guise of a little electric mouse for the 4th time, Sky Dragon came up with an ingenious idea!
...
She would play along!
So, she waited quietly, simultaneously placing various [Ice Traps], [Exploding Traps], and other tools she created, silently around her feet and in the surrounding grass.
Approximately five minutes later, the distant creature shifted its aura back from a little electric mouse to a ferocious beast.
Sky Dragon knew then, the opportunity had come!
She released a few strains of “panic-stricken” aura in the direction of the beast and then quickly ran the opposite direction.
While retreating, she quickly summoned her pet Panda [Steamed Bun].
The panda steamed bun appeared a bit bewildered at first, unsure of what to do, and looked at its master with wide innocent eyes.
Sky Dragon quickly flashed a few meters behind Steamed Bun and ordered it to expand its body size and prepare for defense.
Panda Steamed Bun subconsciously complied.
Roar~
After a loud roar, layers of green light shone from Steamed Bun, swelling it to three times its size, forming an impregnable wall in front of Sky Dragon.
However, Sky Dragon’s eyes hardened.
As she fled, she sensed the creature from the front charging towards her at an unusually fast speed, like an arrow shot from a bow.
It would not be an exaggeration to describe it as “lightning-fast!
Archers fear nothing more than having an enemy close in on them.
However, Sky Dragon was not worried that this enemy would suddenly break through to her side since she had her traps and Panda Steamed Bun in front of her.
Also, Sky Dragon had another assurance.
She waved her hand and summoned another Panda.
This Panda was a gift from Su Yu during their time in the Pandaman Empire and shares the bloodline of the Panda tribal leader.
This Panda was somewhat different from the usual ones.
Common pandas generally have nature or earth attributes, but this one possessed a rare ice attribute.
Because it was an Ice attribute panda, it was constantly covered with a layer of frost and snow armor. Hence, Sky Dragon named it “Ice Dun Dun”.
Upon its appearance, under Sky Dragon’s guidance, “Ice Dun Dun” began to cast spells. A large scale [Blizzard] fell in front, and a thick ice wall sprang up high in front of steamed bun.
With the mutually supporting pandas, it can be said that Sky Dragon’s personal safety was maximized.
Sky Dragon performed a backflip onto Steamed Bun, shooting a few arrows out from her position.
But to her surprise, the unknown creature in front had stopped in its tracks, standing dumbstruck before her array of traps.
The creature was a Green Skin Skrull People.
In face of Sky Dragon’s arrows, he casually shifted, allowing the arrows to graze his body and stick into the ground.
At the same time, he speaks in Blue Star’s Mandarin: “Is this Xu Xiaotian? I’m Gu Hong, also known as A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated!”
“What?!” Sky Dragon almost slipped off the Panda Dumpling, surprised.
So the “alien life-form” he had been wary of turns out to be one of his own!
A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated was feeling pretty frustrated.
This time he hadn’t been as unlucky as before, being teleported to the Skrull’s nest.
He was teleported to the wasteland, and immediately wanted to exercise his combat skills by hunting some Warcraft.
His combat efficiency is considered top-tier among regular players, falling just short of Snow Leopard and Sky Dragon, so he wasn’t scared of Warcraft of the same grade.
But who would have thought that the first “prey” he set his sights on was actually someone from Blue Star!
Recognizing familiar traps and the Panda Dumpling on the ground, he realized he had made a big mistake.
On the huge Skru Star, he and Sky Dragon were teleported to locations close to each other. It was utterly ridiculous.
“Hadn’t expected that it’d be you!” A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated walked over while scratching his head awkwardly, “I was wondering why the ‘Warcraft’ I encountered was so patient, turns out it was one of our own.”
“Ha ha! I was also wondering why the ‘Warcraft’ on the opposite side could keep changing its aura. Must be your martial art ‘Bai Ling Gong’s’ special effect, right?” Sky Dragon laughed.
“That’s right, ‘Bai Ling Gong’. This technique lets me mimic the energy of various animals. On the way here I encountered a little electric rat, so I imitated its energy.” A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated continued to explain.
Sky Dragon blinked when she heard this.
She withdrew [Ice Dun Dun] back into the pet space and let the [Steamed Bun] shrink and rest, then asked, “Did you encounter any other Warcrafts on the way?”
Startled, A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated quickly responded: “I did come across one, but it was a group of third-grade Warcrafts that aren’t of much value, so I didn’t engage them.”
Sky Dragon’s eyes lit up: “Where? Take me there quickly!”
“In that direction…” A Thousand Cups turned and pointed behind him.
…
Three minutes later, Sky Dragon and A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated successfully captured the leader of the third-grade Warcraft group.
It was a herbivorous Warcraft that looked like a deer but appeared quite nerdy.
Sky Dragon used the technique [Taming Beasts] to make this “deer” her pet, then communicated with it to learn more about the area.
After communicating, Sky Dragon takes out a paper version of the Skru Star map, identical to the one Zhong Feng showcased to Elder Zhu.
She circled a tiny red circle on the map and handed it to A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated: “We’re right here now, very close to the Raging Sun Empire.”
“Oh, is that so?” A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated looked at the map and nodded.
They were not far from the Skrull’s territory, at the periphery of the wasteland.
No wonder there were so few Warcraft around.
After looking at the map, A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated looked up at Sky Dragon: “What’s your next move? Why don’t we team up? We could watch each other’s backs.”
“Well… I’m afraid that won’t work.” Sky Dragon patted the red bag slung on the side of her body, explaining: “I have a special mission to accomplish. I have to go to the Skrull’s territory before I can do anything else.”
“I see.” A Thousand Cups Unintoxicated nodded in understanding.
Su Yu had also planned to assign him a special mission, but considering his extreme bad luck last time, he didn’t assign him one.
So his plan was to just practice his moves and hunt for materials in the wasteland, nothing else.
“Well, how about this,” Sky Dragon finally said: “Let’s pick a spot to rendezvous. We can meet there in two days, okay?”
What do you think?
