In the Berserk Beast Realm, when the Spirit Beasts were placed, they would become Berserk Beasts; however, there was another type of Berserk Beasts that were born from the corpse of the Demonic Blood Dragon.

Ethan named these corpse-born creatures Natural Berserk Beasts, while the others were called Artificial Berserk Beasts.

Unlike the Artificial Berserk Beasts, these Natural Berserk Beasts couldn't be purified, and killing them would give Life Points.

Due to the scarcity of fresh blood in the Berserk Beast Realm, most of these Natural Berserk Beasts spent most of their time asleep, silently increasing their population.

Because of their hibernation, even the Golden Core Realm Cultivators who were in charge of taking down the Rank 5 Berserk Beasts in the Berserk Beast Realm wouldn't find them.

Therefore, Ethan used the 10,000 Phantom Wolves as bait to wake them up from their sleep before killing them.
