Yang Yi had the most comfortable sleep he had ever experienced. No nightmares, no fear, no stimulation, just peaceful slumber.

When he woke up, it was already the next evening; he had slept for almost 24 hours.

Upon opening his eyes, he noticed the colours before him seemed more vibrant, though he wasn't sure if it was an illusion caused by sleeping for that long.

He grabbed the crystal ball to check the nautical chart and found that the Nightmare Star was still anchored at sea, not moving. It was about half a day’s journey from the White Mist.

Getting up, he leaned over to peek through a hole in the wall and saw that Suna was also still asleep.

The Twilight Veil remained deployed, keeping the Nightmare Star invisible.

Yang Yi suddenly felt an intense hunger — understandable after more than 24 hours without food.

He quickly put on his gear, pushed open the captain's cabin door, and stepped onto the deck.

It was nighttime, and the sea was pitch black.

Only the ghostly flames wandering around the deck provided some light.

Yang Yi glanced at the weather; it was about the same as before — around -20°C with a level 2 wind.

In about two hours, it would be daytime.

He went to the ship’s hold and grabbed three loaves of black bread, a sausage, and a moderate amount of fresh water and salt. Then he lit the campfire at the bow, set up a pot, and cooked a pot of bread porridge.

This time, he didn’t add jellyfish mucus. While it wasn’t exactly delicious, at least the taste was normal.

Yang Yi removed his blindfold and switched to the Third Eye.

"No fog?"

He was stunned.

In the Third Eye’s vision, the white mist didn’t exist. The sea was just as it always was, with nothing unusual.

He closed the blindfold and checked the weather interface.

Fog has set in, and temperatures will drop further. Fish catches will continue to decrease. Be cautious of colliding with icebergs due to poor visibility!

“Polar day…” Yang Yi muttered to himself.

He felt conflicted because what he saw with his two eyes was contradictory.

In the Third Eye's vision, there was no white fog. In his normal eyesight, thick white fog blanketed the surroundings.

Suna frowned, puzzled, and seemed to be thinking. She acted swiftly, using a glass bottle to collect some of the fog.

Yes, the fog could be collected since it rose directly from the sea and could even be stored in a bottle.

She took a deep sniff but detected no unusual odor — just the salty, fishy scent of the sea and a hint of chill.

In the meantime, Yang Yi checked the chat channel.

He discovered many players were encountering the same phenomenon, and their numbers were rapidly increasing.

“Why did it suddenly get bright, and why is there thick fog? Is this happening where you are?”

“Don’t scare me! I got up and checked — nothing like that here.”

“It brightened up here too, and there’s fog! So cold!”

“Check the weather interface! Daylight duration changed to polar day! And there’s thick fog and a temperature drop!”

“Damn, the fog seems to be rising from the sea!”

“Share your coordinates if you’re seeing the fog — doesn’t need to be exact. Mine is XXXXX:XXXXX.”

“Same here…”

After checking their coordinates, Yang Yi could conclude that the white fog was spreading very quickly.
