Chapter 1256 Part 2: Rhys Perry's identity is now known
From MC's Perspective:
After getting out of the bath, I changed into comfortable clothes. I thought about going to meet Elder Paul Lin and asking him about the person named Lord Rhys Perry.
But I gave up the idea in the end. I had to come up with better reasons if he started questioning me. So I made up my mind to meet him tomorrow.
The following day,
I woke up. After getting out of bed, I started my morning routine. There were no changes.
A few hours later,
I left the dorm building and started walking towards the Special Mage Department. On the way, I found no one was stalking me.
Shortly afterwards,
I reached the Special Mage Department and entered the class to attend the lectures.
Meanwhile,
Rhys Perry has returned to the main city. Beside him, Aaron Perry stood guard with a fearful expression on his face.
The previous blow had caused him serious injuries. But Rhys spared him at the last moment and gave him expensive potions to heal.
Since he had decided to retrieve the token, he needed the help of Aaron Perry. Only Aaron Perry could come and go outside of the True Elements Society. He didn't want to use his brother's daughter.
If he ordered her around, it would be a matter of time before his brother found out about it. Right now, he needed to figure out a way to lure the kid again.
"Did you get the news?" Rhys asked.
"Someone from the Special Mage Department confirmed Vincent Carey's status. He is attending the class right now," Aaron Perry replied in a humble tone.
But his heart was filled with hatred. It was unlike the anger he had felt before. Earlier, he had acted on someone else's orders. Now he wanted to kill Vincent Carey himself. Find your next read on My Virtual Library Empire
If that kid had gone to the old town, he wouldn't have received humiliation and ended up in this state. Now he had to obey this madman. Otherwise, he would be dead for sure.
Rhys's eyes flickered.
"Why did that kid return yesterday?" he asked.
"Lord, I think he must have been summoned by Elder Paul Lin. Otherwise, the kid would have reached the old town," Aaron Perry replied.
This time he didn't forget about Paul Lin. He thought Paul Lin must be the reason behind that kid's change in decision.
"We can try sending out the letter again. But this time the location is the main city," Rhys uttered.
Aaron Perry shuddered. He thought that madman was making a mad decision again.
"Lord, the main city is under the watch of the True Elements Society. The other council Elder must be there. It's detrimental to kill him here," Aaron refuted immediately.
He was not blind. He knew that the madman might escape after killing that kid, but he would end up dead.
Rhys was annoyed.
"Let's see whether he comes or not. If that kid doesn't come, then something else must have happened," Rhys said.
Hearing that, Aaron Perry gritted his teeth.
"Okay, Lord. I'll arrange this matter," Aaron replied.
Time passed,
Back in the Special Mage Department, when the class was over, I sighed inwardly. I couldn't wait to find out the identity of the enemy.
I left the class and hurried to Elder Paul Lin's cabin. When I got there, I knocked on the door.
Creak!
When the door opened, I entered and closed the door before taking a seat.
Paul Lin was surprised upon seeing Vincent Carey's serious expression. He thought something big had happened for him to have this reaction.
"What have you done?" Paul Lin asked.
Hearing that, I revealed a bitter smile on my face.
"I didn't do anything. But something happened," I replied.
"Speak," Paul Lin said.
"I went to Verdant City for a short time. But I found someone following me," I replied.@@novelbin@@
Paul Lin's expression became dignified.
"Head Howard has warned you not to wander around. Yet you are having fun, not taking life seriously," Paul Lin said in a solemn tone.
"Well, I was careless before. But it won't be hereafter," I admitted.
"And why is that?" Paul Lin asked.
"I have found the identity of the stalker. His name is Rhys Perry," I said while looking into his eyes.
Boom!
Like a thunderclap, the news caught Elder Paul Lin off guard. He widened his eyes in disbelief. A flash of horror flashed in his eyes.
A decade ago, the Perry Family used to be stronger than they are today. They had dual stars who were no less prodigious than others. One was Cooper, their current family head.
The other one was Rhys Perry, who left the family and country because of his injury. It was said that he went to foreign countries for treatment.
Now, it's hard to believe that he has returned, especially in this situation when the Perry Family joined the Aristocratic Families to go against the True Elements Society.
"You...!"
"Are you telling the truth?" Paul Lin asked.
"I'm sure. I heard him speaking to someone on a call," I replied.
Elder Paul Lin's expression made me scared. Was he a Magic Lord? Impossible! Then why was he showing such an expression?
"Elder, who is he?" I asked.
Paul Lin collected his thoughts before starting to explain.
A few minutes later,
My expression hardened. The person who lured me out was the father of Charon Perry. No doubt it was revenge. I didn't know whether he had found out or was trying to get information from me.
But either way, he wouldn't let me live. Fortunately, Aaron Perry's mumbling saved my life. Otherwise, I would have followed the route to reach the old town.
"Elder, what do you think of his strength?" I asked.
"I was worried about that as well. A decade ago, he was close to becoming a Supreme Level Wizard. But he suffered an injury later, so he had to leave his family and country for treatment."
"So I'm not sure whether his strength has recovered or not. Either way, this person's return is not good news for us."
"Most importantly, you should be careful as well. He is the father of Charon Perry. Charon Perry might use him to attack you," Paul Lin said in a serious tone.
"He doesn't know that Charon Perry is no more," I said in my heart.
What do you think?
