Chapter 1261 Part 1: Paul and Stella's reaction
From MC's Perspective:
Inside the Gregor Mansion, after consuming the healing potion, I lay on the floor. The near-death experience had tired me out. I'm mentally exhausted.
The exhaustion brought drowsiness, and I fell asleep on the floor.
Outside,
The Dark Shadows left the room after quelling the fire and smoke. The dark shadows were discussing among themselves.
Shortly afterward,
The dark shadows who had left earlier returned as well. An immediate group discussion happened then and there.
They are guardians. They don't interfere in politics. Right now, they were able to confirm that level-9 Mana Coercion was present in the room.
Someone used coercion to kill. But the targeted person was not in the room. The attacker had fled before their arrival.
On the other hand, the Supreme Wizards who were standing in mid-air felt confused. They thought it was a mistake made by a student.
Now, looking at the guardians, they think something is wrong. One of the white figures flew towards the Guardians.
He appears to be a middle-aged man.
"Respected Guardians, I would like to know what happened?" he asked.
"This area is restricted. Until Head Howard's arrival, no one is allowed to come near," one of the Dark Shadows said.
Hearing that, the middle-aged man was shocked. He was one of the Magic Palace Masters, a Magic Level-10 Supreme Wizard.
But he was not even allowed to come near the place.
The middle-aged man didn't dare stay there any longer. He flew back and told the other Supreme Wizards. Read new chapters at My Virtual Library Empire
Everyone was shocked. It was not hard to guess something. If the room catching fire was not the result of a student's mistake, then something else happened.
But they didn't see anyone in the room, which puzzled them. In the guardians' presence, they couldn't go there to investigate.
Swoosh!
One by one, the Supreme Wizards returned to their Palace building.
...
Main City:
Aaron Perry is kneeling in front of Rhys Perry. His whole body is trembling nonstop. The madman has given him a last chance. But he has failed in that as well.
He was careless. He should have checked whether that kid was staying in his room or not. But there was no medicine for regret in this world.
His eyes look lifeless. The poison in his body continues to corrode the mana veins. He is feeling immense pain inside.
But his heart was filled with fear of the madman. His mind was not working properly.
"Here, I thought you would succeed this time," Rhys said in a cold tone.@@novelbin@@
"How hard is it to kill a mere Magic Level-6 kid?"
Rhys's voice sounded in Aaron Perry's ears, which immediately jolted him awake. Aaron was not able to answer; words were not coming from his mouth.
Rhys Perry was patient. From Aaron's reaction, he could tell that he had failed. But he had also remained and returned unscathed, so he was ready to listen first.
Before that, he took out an antidote for the diluted poison.
"Here, take it and tell me everything," Rhys said.
A quick gleam flashed in Aaron's eyes. He received the antidote pill before swallowing it. The pill went inside and dissolved instantly.
The energy then started neutralizing the poison.
About 10 minutes later,
Aaron got relief from the heart-wrenching pain. He was able to think properly. He raised his head and saw Rhys Perry sitting on the chair, looking at him.
He was waiting for his answer.
"Lord, I went to that kid's dorm room and attacked it. But that kid was not inside the room. Before the guardians and Supreme Wizards could arrive, I left the place," Aaron Perry replied.
Rhys's eyes flickered. He was not disappointed by Aaron's actions this time. Aaron was able to return before others could arrive at the scene.
This shows that Aaron was smart. But the problem is he didn't think that the True Elements Society would fail to identify the killer.
It would be a matter of time before they found out it was Aaron Perry. So he did not plan to send him there again. It would be like wasting resources.
He won't get another level-9 Wizard to kill that kid and retrieve his black token from that kid's body.
He is pondering.
On the other hand, Aaron's complexion becomes better. The diluted poison was being removed from his body. He thinks that the madman is not ready to dispose of him yet.
At this moment, he can understand the madman's plan. He wants that kid named Vincent Carey dead at all costs. So much so that the madman forced him to consume poison to carry out the task.
He feels weird. The madman's anger was stronger than before. It was more intense than when the madman was angry about his son's death.
"What do you think?"
"Would they find you?" Rhys asked.
Aaron's heart skips a beat.
"Lord, the True Elements Society has an intelligence tower. They will come for me. We should leave right now," Aaron Perry pleaded.
Since it was confirmed that the madman was not going to kill him, he feels it's not safe to stay in the main city.
He knows the power of the True Elements Society. There might be an Intelligence Tower's spies in the Main City. He doesn't want to get caught.
Thinking about Head Howard, his eyes flashed with fear. Right now, he has offended everyone. He can't return to the campus.
Rhys Perry looked deep into his eyes. He thought Aaron Perry was complete trash. But he had escaped somehow. He thinks it's not time to dispose of him.
Especially since that kid is still alive. Right now, he has forgotten about his son's killer. All his attention is on the black token.
If the current Perry Family Head, Cooper, learned this, he would be shocked to the core.
"Let's go back to the Estate. They won't dare to trouble you there," Rhys said with a smile.
Aaron shuddered. The madman's smile looks creepy. He knew his life was still at the madman's mercy.
Then they both vacated the private property.
What do you think?
