Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1264 Council Elder Milo's greed

The Perry Family Estate:

Rhys Perry was waiting for commotion to happen. But since last night, no one had come to disturb him. He thought the True Elements Society should have taken action by now.

Even Aaron Perry was shocked and confused. He knew the existence of Guardians and Supreme Wizards.

More importantly, the Intelligence Tower Head, Stella, could easily find the evidence. No one could deny his usage of the Teleportation Platform.

"What do you think?" Rhys asked.

"Lord, I think it must be bait. I know Head Howard won't let go of such chances. There must be something going on," Aaron said with fear.

He completely lost the courage to go back, even though no one had come to find him.

"It's good that no one is coming. We can use this time to kill that kid named Vincent Carey."

"If not for the protective formation covering the True Elements Society, I would have gone there to crush that kid," Rhys said in a cold tone.

Thinking about the black token, he felt pain in his heart.

Aaron Perry's eyes flickered. He didn't know what was happening with this madman. It was not clear yet whether that kid had killed his son or not.

So why did he want that kid dead first? Aaron Perry was confused. Normally, they should be looking for his son's killer.

Instead, they were wasting time against an unrelated kid.

He didn't think a level-6 kid could kill a level-8 Wizard. It was absurd. But he couldn't voice this out openly. He had a leash on life. He didn't want to commit a mistake again.

Rhys' gaze fell on Aaron.

"I think it's difficult to lure that kid outside. That letter method won't work. Is there anyone on the campus who can kill that kid?" he asked.

Aaron immediately thought of Council Elder Milo.

"Lord, I have one good friend there. He is a supporter of the Aristocratic Families," Aaron replied.

"Oh," Rhys raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"Tell me, I don't want you to commit a mistake again. There is a limit to my forgiveness," Rhys said.

Gulp!

Aaron gulped saliva in fear.

"Lord, his name is Milo. He is the council elder of the Beast Taming Department. He has a few capable lackeys under him."

"As long as you give him resources, he will do that task," Aaron replied.

Rhys' eyes gleamed with a twinkle. He knew there was no shortage of greedy people, and resources were one thing he didn't lack.

"Good, call him. I want to meet him here," Rhys said.

Aaron nodded his head.

...

Perry Family Head Study Room:

Cooper was reading the reports, but he couldn't see a single report about his brother. He didn't know why he felt something was wrong.@@novelbin@@

With his brother's temper, he should have done something by now. He didn't doubt his brother's love for his son, Charon.

"It's fishy," he muttered to himself.

Then he summoned his daughter.

Shortly afterward,

Leona Perry entered the study room.

"Father," she greeted him.

"Leona, do you know anything related to my brother?" he asked.

A flash of hesitation appeared in Leona's eyes, which was caught by Cooper. She recalled the last meeting; Rhys Perry had warned her not to say anything.

Cooper asked, "Leona, if you know something, then tell me."

"I'm the current family head. I don't want my brother to cause problems because of revenge. We still don't know his son's killer yet."

"I suspect my brother is up to something," he added.

Leona finally gave up. She didn't want to hide it anymore. She told him about their meeting inside the True Elements Society.

A few minutes later,

A chill appeared in the room.

"So he went there to collect intel, and he had decided to kill that level-6 kid," Cooper said.

Leona nodded her head.

"If he had taken any action inside, no one could have saved him. It's good that he was not stupid. But I still feel something is wrong."

"I don't mind him taking the life of that kid named Vincent Carey. We had been trying to do that before him."

"But in that process, if he gets caught by the True Elements Society, then no one can save him. The Intelligence Tower Department is already siding with Head Howard Mason."

"The Department of Law and Order is staying neutral, so we have to be careful," Cooper gave a long explanation.

Leona Perry nodded her head. She was afraid of Rhys Perry as well. The Aristocratic Faction may seem to have good support.

But all the important departments were siding with Head Howard.

Suddenly, she thought of something.

"Father, if Uncle Rhys is looking to kill Vincent Carey, then why don't we use our trump card?" she asked.

"Trump card?" Cooper asked.

Leona smiled and said, "Supreme Wizard. I will ask my master to take action. I doubt anyone would go against a Supreme Wizard."

Cooper's eyes filled with surprise. Then he shook his head and replied, "No, we can handle this on our own. We have our own people. Do you think someone will help free of cost?"

"I heard that kid has a Supreme Wizard as a backer as well. So we shouldn't take any risks," he added.

Leona nodded her head, but she still kept this idea. If there is any opportunity that arises, she will tell her master.

She couldn't believe a first-year student, Vincent Carey, was giving so much headache to her family.

"Okay, you can go now," Cooper said.

Leona Perry left the room.

Cooper then resumed reading reports.

...

Beast Taming Department:

"What?"

"Level-10 Magic Resources?"

"Are you sure?"

Council Elder Milo was speaking to Aaron on the call.

"Yes, it's true. If you don't believe me, you can talk to our lord," Aaron Perry said.

"Okay, I'm coming," Milo answered before ending the call.

"Supreme Resources," Milo's eyes flashed with greed.

Then he thought of Aaron Perry. He knew Aaron Perry didn't serve anyone but his own family.

"So, who is this person behind him?" he asked himself.

Hearing Aaron Perry addressing someone as "Lord," his heart skipped a beat.
