Chapter 1270 Part 2: Milo and Aaron have teamed up
Aaron Perry returned to the Main City. Then he went to the Teleportation Platform with nervousness on his face. He didn't know if the Intelligence Tower had taken any action.
Vincent Carey was backed by Paul Lin. He doubted that guy would give up this chance. But he had no choice. He didn't want to stay near the madman.
The madman was slowly losing his mind. It would be a matter of time before something big happened. Aaron Perry was having mixed feelings about whether to stay in the Perry Family or not.
He was sure that the madman wouldn't let him leave after everything was over.
Shortly afterward,
He arrived at the Teleportation Platform. He didn't spare a glance at the guards but told them his destination.
The guards' eyes moved. But they acted normally and activated the teleportation platform. When Aaron Perry disappeared from the spot.
"He is back!"
"Let's inform Elder Stella," one of the guards spoke.
The other nodded his head. Then they shared the information with the Intelligence Tower.
Swoosh!
Aaron appeared back in the True Elements Society. He left the building and contacted Milo to come and meet him at his office. Discover exclusive tales at My Virtual Library Empire
The guards standing there reported to the Intelligence Tower as well.
Intelligence Tower:
Elder Stella was sitting in her office. She was doing her routine work. Suddenly, the information from the guards caught her attention.
A quick gleam flashed in her eyes when she finished reading it.
"Aaron Perry!"
She knew it was him who caused the dorm building incident. He had gone there to kill Vincent Carey. It was fortunate that the kid was not there during the incident.
Otherwise, he would have died under level-9 mana pressure.
"Harumph, since you are back, don't think about leaving," she muttered to herself.
Then she informed Elder Paul Lin and the Council Elder from the Law and Order Department.
Though they had evidence to prove the dorm building incident was caused by Aaron, Stella thought of a better solution. She wanted to catch Aaron Perry red-handed. She didn't think his return was good.
If he tried to do anything again, they would attack him on the spot.
Suddenly, another idea came to her mind.
She decided to inform the guardians as well. The guardians wouldn't interfere in the organization's affairs.
But if someone was attacking others inside the organization, then the situation would be different.
So she informed them as well.
Meanwhile,
Milo arrived at Aaron Perry's office to meet him.
When he walked into the office, he saw Aaron sitting behind the desk. After closing the door, Milo sat opposite him.
He asked, "Who is that person?"
Aaron's eyes flashed with anger.
"He is a madman. His name is Rhys Perry. He is the brother of the current family head. His father is the former family head who is a Magic Lord," Aaron Perry explained.
Milo's breathing became faster.
"Magic Lord," he gulped in fear.
Now he realized how scary that person was. To think he was taking time to complete the mission made his back go cold.
Aaron Perry didn't make fun of Milo's expression. He had the same reaction when he first saw Rhys.
Milo thought he was right from the beginning. He had suspected that person might have something to do with the current family head.
It took him a couple of minutes to calm his mind down.
Milo then looked into his friend's eyes and asked, "Why does he want Vincent Carey dead?"
"Is this about a lost quota?" he added.
"Quota?" Aaron revealed a bitter smile.
He realized that his friend had misunderstood something.
He replied, "I wish that were the case. It's much more serious than you think. We have to kill that kid."
"I'm not ashamed to tell you. I tried to kill Vincent Carey but failed more than once. That's why I recommended your name."
"But you failed last night as well," Aaron added.
Milo was dumbfounded. He thought no wonder that person was so angry. Two Council Elders had failed to kill a first-year wizard.
If the news were to be known outside, everyone would make fun of them.
"But I don't understand one thing. Why does he want Vincent Carey's body once we kill him?" Milo asked.
Aaron Perry's eyes flickered.
He didn't know whether it was good to talk about Charon Perry's death. Then he thought since things had come to this level, there was no point in hiding anything.
"If you want to know, I can tell. But don't think about leaving or escaping after hearing the news," Aaron said in a serious tone.
Milo's expression grew serious. He had never seen Aaron this serious before, as if he were acting like he was running away from death.@@novelbin@@
"His son Charon Perry was murdered. Vincent Carey stayed in the Perry Family hotel shortly before Charon Perry's death," Aaron Perry said.
"What?" Milo stood up in shock.
He knew Charon Perry, a fourth-year student from the Bloodline Beast Department. To think he was killed, Milo didn't know what to say. His heart was turbulent.
Now he was starting to understand the recent incidents surrounding the Perry Family.
Milo was beginning to regret it a little. Without knowing anything, he had gotten himself into a mess. He didn't know who murdered that kid, and he didn't think it was Vincent Carey.
Charon Perry was part of the Aristocratic Families. He thought that someone from the Head Howard side had taken action.
If so, they had to be careful.
"Do you understand the seriousness right now?" Aaron Perry asked.
Milo nodded his head.
"That kid was the only connection left to the killer. But for some reason, the madman wants him dead," Aaron Perry said.
Milo hesitated. His greed for the supreme resources had gotten him into this mess.
"I'm warning you. Don't think about turning your back on this. The former head is a Magic Lord. He can easily find and kill us," Aaron Perry said.
Milo touched his forehead. He had thought about leaving Ancient Redwood Country after getting the Supreme Resources.
Since they were now in this forced situation, he decided to cooperate.
What do you think?
