Chapter 1282 Magical creature
Howard Mason's cold gaze continued to stare at Milo. His heart wanted him to kill these people, but his mind told him otherwise.
If they were ordinary wizards, he wouldn't mind killing them. But two of them were level-9 Wizards, and the last one was close to touching Level-10.
More importantly, Howard had yet to come up with a plan. He didn't want to go against the Magic Lord Callen yet.
"Do you have the slave contract scroll?" he asked Phylia.
Old lady Phylia was shocked, but then she quickly understood.
Swoosh!
A blood-colored magic scroll appeared in her hand. The breath it was leaking would cause mental damage to low-level wizards.
In order to hold the magic scroll, you needed good strength.
"No," Milo shouted in horror.
He was not naive. He knew the uses of the blood magic scroll. Each blood magic scroll had its owner.
If someone signed their name on it, then they would become a slave to the magic scroll owner. Your adventure continues at My Virtual Library Empire
Howard smiled. He stretched out his hand, and the next second, the blood magic scroll fell into his hand.
"Milo, if you want to live, obediently sign your name on the contract. The owner of the Magic Scroll is none other than me."
"If you serve well for the True Elements Society, I might give you your freedom in the future," Howard said in a cold tone.
Hearing that, Milo's eyes lost hope and color. He knew there was no talking back. He hopelessly nodded his head.
Creak!
The next second, Howard removed the prison door restrictions. Then he walked inside.
He raised his hand, and the magic scroll hovered in the air before landing on Milo's lap.
Milo bit his forefinger before signing the magic scroll with his blood signature.
Boom!
The magic scroll lit up in blood light before shooting towards Milo's heart. This all happened within seconds.
The next second, Milo lost his independent thinking and became an obedient slave.
"Owner," he greeted.@@novelbin@@
Old lady Phylia felt chills. One thing was to die in battle, but becoming a slave was the worst fate for wizards.
"Good," Howard uttered before removing the anti-magic chains.
"Come with me," Howard said.
Swoosh!
The next second, the three of them left the underground prison cell.
On the other hand, Rhys Perry and Aaron Perry were shocked to the core. Though they couldn't see, they heard the conversation.
The words "Slave Contract Scroll" hit them hard. They were close to becoming slaves as well. Only their family name had saved them from the predicament.
Aaron Perry still thought that the Perry Family could rescue them, but he was not sure whether they would rescue him or not.
Even if a deal was made, they would prioritize saving Rhys Perry first. On the other hand, he had slim chances. He had clearly broken the True Elements Society's rules.
He doubted Head Howard would spare his life. His eyes flashed with fear thinking about it. He felt deep regret. This was all because of the madman and his useless son.
He was thinking back on some events right now. If Charon Perry had stayed out of trouble, things wouldn't have ended this way.
But things had started to worsen ever since they marked their target. The target was backed by the Magic Union and the Special Mage Department.
Now he learned that Supreme Wizard Phylia was backing that kid as well. If he had known this before, he wouldn't have listened to Charon.
Earlier, he thought that the Supreme Wizard was showing some appreciation to that kid, Vincent Carey. But now he knew it was not just appreciation but complete support.
Aaron Perry sighed. He thought that not only he had made a mistake, but the Perry Family intelligence team had as well. If they had known Supreme Wizard Phylia was protecting that kid, they wouldn't have dared to offend her.
To offend someone like that was nothing but a self-hurting option. But there was no remedy for regret. He could only wait for his fate to end.
With a sigh, Aaron Perry closed his eyes.
Meanwhile,
Rhys Perry was betting on his father. He knew that the Magic Lord Howard wouldn't dare to lay a finger on him.
If his father knew he was imprisoned, they would go on a rampage to destroy the True Elements Society.
Even if the True Elements Society decided to fight against him, it wouldn't be easy. They might have to pay a heavy price.
Rhys Perry predicted a lot of people would die if a war happened between the True Elements Society and the Perry Family.
"He... He... He..., I don't think they can lock me up for a long time," he cracked a grin.
Suddenly, the image of Vincent Carey flashed in his mind.
"That kid. Wait for me to come outside, then your luck will end," he gritted his teeth in anger.
He felt ashamed about that incident. Not only had he failed to kill that kid, but he lost his precious token to that kid.
...
Outside,
Head Howard, Phylia, and Milo were standing mid-air. They were back at the main campus.
"Milo, I want you to spy on the Perry Family in disguise. Observe their movements. If you find anything suspicious, inform me," Howard ordered him.
"Yes, owner," Milo said before disappearing from the spot.
There was a reason why he made Milo a slave wizard: because he didn't have a background. If he made a Perry Family wizard a slave, it might cause some unwanted situations.
"Phylia, you can go back and continue to monitor the situation. Don't go back to seclusion until we solve this mess," Howard said before disappearing from the spot.
Old lady Phylia nodded to him before returning to her place. Nobody knew such a thing had happened.
...
A few days passed by.
Old man Callen returned to the Perry Family with a distinguished guest. The guest was none other than Magic Lord Caleb.
Callen took him to his own residence. He didn't want to expose the news yet.
About one hour later,
Magic Lord Caleb was settled. Now he was speaking to Callen on business.
"So, what do you want to do first?" Caleb asked.
Old man Callen thought of something important before replying, "There is a level-6 Wizard kid hiding in that organization. We had tried to capture him, but we failed."
"I suspect that kid might know something about my grandson's death. I wonder if Senior can help," Callen asked.
"Ha... Ha... Ha..., it's easy to capture," Caleb said with laughter.
"The organization is covered with Magic Formations. It's not that easy to go inside," Callen said in a solemn tone.
Caleb smiled before bringing out a magical creature.
It was a red-colored crow, about the size of an adult fist.
Old man Callen's pupils shrank. He felt ominous power from the magical creature.
"This magical creature can bypass the restrictions and can go anywhere. It's an intelligent creature. Don't get fooled by its size."
"It likes to eat the hearts of wizards, especially the hearts of advanced and peak wizards," Caleb said with a smile.
Hearing that, old man Callen shuddered. He knew that old monster Caleb had many tricks. He was so old that he was well-versed in evil magic as well.
"So what do you want to do?"
"The magical creature can kill easily," Caleb asked.
"Senior, I want you to capture him alive. So that I can interrogate that kid. I want to know the truth behind my grandson's death," Callen said with hatred.
The hatred was so deep that he couldn't sleep properly.
"Okay, do you have any pictures or items related to that kid?" Caleb asked.
"Senior, wait. I'll ask my son." After saying that, Callen immediately called his son Cooper. Then he got the picture of Vincent Carey.
He then showed the image of that kid Vincent Carey on the digital screen.
Caleb looked at the picture before saying, "This kid looks so young. Are you sure it's him?"
"Senior, it's him. This mere level-6 Wizard has ruined our decade-old plans. Now he knows something about my grandson's death," Callen said in a cold tone.
"One more thing, Senior. He might be under the protection of elders," he added.
"Don't worry, my magical creature has intelligence. It has done a lot of spy work for me over the years. It can expand its size and hide its body from others."
"So it will be a piece of cake to capture that kid," Caleb said in a confident tone.
Then he ordered the magical creature to memorize the face and showed the location of the True Elements Society. The magical creature can think independently. It was a product of a magic experiment.
In a way, it was like a human wizard staying inside the magical creature's body.
Swoosh!
The magical creature flapped its wings before disappearing into the void.
Callen wiped off his cold sweat. He felt fortunate that he didn't make him an enemy.
What do you think?
