Great Demon Sun Wukong

Chapter 388 - 377: One Hundred Thousand Army

Hearing the brash shouts of the little monkey, the young man in green did not look up, but his right hand grasped into the void. At his side, green light gradually condensed into the form of a dragon. When he pointed a single finger towards the little monkey, the green light trembled, and then, a verdant Divine Dragon emerged from the light and charged directly at the little monkey. The green figure’s movements also suddenly accelerated, his entire form transformed into a green sun, then exploded with a boom. Countless green rays of light from the explosion entered the ground, which had turned into a desert.

By this time, the green Divine Dragon had reached the little monkey, who then noticed that the green dragon was actually made of wood. The little monkey sneered, "This again? Have you forgotten that I was born with Divine Power?" As he spoke, the little monkey swung his slender arm, throwing a punch at the oncoming wooden dragon. The dragon appeared to be twenty meters long, a behemoth compared to the little monkey’s mere one-meter stature.

However, the wooden dragon, more than twenty times the size of the little monkey, was hit squarely on the head by the little monkey’s punch. The impact’s force vanished instantly, and the little monkey let out a loud shout. The power of his punch burst forth again, and without moving, he shattered the wooden dragon into a sky full of splinters with the force of his fist alone. But the little monkey did not press his advantage, instead, he looked down at Sun Wukong on the ground and shouted, "Ling Ming, it’s your turn to show off!"

Sun Wukong nodded slightly, then crouched down and pressed his right hand onto the earth. Meanwhile, the green-clothed man, who was about to counterattack, suddenly flickered and dashed into the untouched part of the forest. Just as he left, nine dazzling Spatial Chains burst from the ground where he had been standing, but without a target, they missed. "Oh, Ling Ming, how could you be so slow? Now you’ve done it, to flush him out, you’ll have to destroy the other half of the forest!"

But Sun Wukong chuckled, "Hey, I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve. Since I have seen him, he won’t be able to escape. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you get to have your fun soon." As soon as these words fell, Sun Wukong raised his right hand, then placed his palms together and sat down. Gently closing his eyes, he began to murmur softly, "Nine Decisions, nine shall emerge, Myriad Laws Void. Six Principles for insight!"

As soon as his words ended, Sun Wukong’s tightly shut eyes suddenly opened. The outburst of golden light made the little monkey, who had been watching him closely, feel as though all his secrets had been seen through by Sun Wukong in an instant. But when the golden light receded, above Sun Wukong’s head, radiance condensed, and a pair of golden eyes appeared and began changing colors dazzlingly from their initial gold.

At the sight of those eyes, the little monkey cried out in alarm and hurriedly dodged to the distance. Sun Wukong merely glanced at him with a hint of a smile, then looked towards the forest where the green-clothed man had disappeared. After about the time it took for three breaths, Sun Wukong suddenly spoke, "Found him, heh, indeed much more useful than my Fiery Eyes. Since old Sun has spotted you, don’t even dream of escaping!"

Sun Wukong then raised his right hand high, with intense fluctuations of Spiritual Power around his body. Next, a brilliant white light erupted from the palm of his hand, and one by one, chains as brilliant as diamonds shot out from Sun Wukong’s palm. In a blink of an eye, at least three to four hundred sparkling diamond chains had assembled above Sun Wukong’s head. Sun Wukong turned back and shouted to the little monkey hiding in the distance, "What are you waiting for? Attack!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than Sun Wukong’s raised right hand pointed towards the still-intact forest. A little surprised, the little monkey quickly recovered and with a shift of his feet, turned into a yellow light, following the hundreds of diamond Spatial Chains charging towards the front.

That green figure was standing in front of a large tree, watching with a rush of fear as hundreds of light beams streaked towards him from the sky. He thought of concealing himself once more, but it felt as though he was being watched by an eye, preventing him from disappearing. Knowing that hiding was no longer an option, his only choice was to defend. With his strong Recovery ability, he knew he would survive any attack that didn’t kill him instantly.

Without hesitation, Ye Zi, the man in green, began swaying his emerald Wooden Staff, and with every swing, a layer of green light enveloped the mighty trees around him. Once the green light faded, figures identical to him appeared in place of the trees. These doppelgangers were indistinguishable in appearance and aura from the real Ye Zi, and they too began waving their Wooden Staffs, turning more trees into human figures.

In the brief time it took for Sun Wukong’s hundreds of Spatial Chains to streak out and touch those tree-made green figures, nearly seven to eight hundred had appeared in the forest. So even if one chain thwarted one, nearly half were free to move. Indeed, that’s exactly what happened: nearly four hundred Spatial Chains had bound as many figures instantly, but the remaining four hundred charged at the little monkey at once.

The previously confident little monkey was taken aback. This man had not used such a tactic in their last battle. Even though the little monkey knew that these four hundred green figures must be transformed from ancient trees, their auras were genuine. Even if they were fake, they did possess actual strength. But now it was too late for the little monkey to escape, as those four hundred green-clothed figures descended on him like a pack of hungry wolves, engulfing him in a green sea.

In the last moment before being overwhelmed by those more than four hundred people, the little monkey only had time to shout out a single sentence, "Ling Ming Stone Monkey, you wait for me!" And Sun Wukong indeed gave a naughty smile and whispered low, "After all the secrets you’ve kept from me, if I hadn’t unintentionally scanned you with my Heaven and Earth Dao Eye, I wouldn’t have known you were hiding so much from me. Anyway, you can’t die, so suffering a bit is good for you!"

Although he said this heartlessly, Sun Wukong didn’t really leave the little monkey to fend for himself. As those four hundred green-clothed people lunged at the little monkey, he had already slapped the Wasteland Soil tablet into the ground, and then no fewer than five hundred Sun Wukongs made from Earth Elements burrowed out from below. His move and the one by the green-clothed person named Ye Zi bore a remarkable resemblance, the only difference being one used ancient trees while the other used three thousand specks of Wasteland Soil from the tablet.

Watching those hundreds of himself rushing to assist the little monkey, Sun Wukong suddenly felt the scene was oddly familiar, "Since you want to compete in numbers, then yours truly will play along to the end!" After saying this, Sun Wukong grabbed a handful of monkey hair from his own body with his left hand, blew on it forcefully, and instantly, countless Sun Wukongs appeared before him, each one hastily heading toward the little monkey’s location to join the battle.

Those four hundred or so green-clothed people, who were originally beating up the little monkey, completely switched roles, becoming the ones who were surrounded. At least one thousand five hundred more Sun Wukongs completely secluded those four hundred people, with an average of three Sun Wukongs attacking one green-clothed person. At this moment, the green-clothed person who had been watching everything from the shadows hesitated slightly before clenching his teeth.

Then, the half of the forest that was still intact suddenly came to life. All the trees, enwrapped in a green light, turned into human forms, with the outer forms all being those green-clothed people. Looking out, there were at least hundreds of thousands of green-clothed people. The sea of green formed by those figures contrasted sharply with the opposite desert. However, the strength of these hundreds of thousands wasn’t as great as the previous eight hundred doppelgangers. The strongest among them would have the strength of Eight Patterns, while the weakest had just entered the realm of One Pattern Dao Patterns.

But whatever their strength was, the sheer numbers were undeniable. Hundreds of thousands of green-clothed people could drown the little monkey and the doppelgangers made from Sun Wukong’s monkey hair in spit alone.

This change in events was clearly seen by both the little monkey and Sun Wukong, who were both utterly astonished. Who could have imagined that from a two against one situation, it would evolve to four hundred green-clothed people ganging up on the little monkey after the latter produced eight hundred doppelgangers, then Sun Wukong created over fifteen hundred more to surround the green-clothed people, and now, that green-clothed person got even more ruthless by fielding an army of hundreds of thousands.

Was this still a fight? It had clearly turned into a war.

"Ling Ming, that guy is going all out, quick retreat, quick retreat, how can we fight this!"

The little monkey, upon seeing those hundreds of thousands of green-clothed people, immediately soared into the sky, no longer caring about the notion that monkeys can’t fly.
