Chapter 327: Preparing for What’s Next
By now, Mo Hao had fully taken in his new memories.
After all, these memories had always been his, just hidden away for a hundred years.
As for the system, he now understood how it worked.
Who would’ve thought I’d end up in this strange, magical world with a system like this! Mo Hao thought, feeling excited.
Things may look bad right now, but with the system’s help, I can keep moving forward and aim for the top of the Cultivation Path! Just thinking about it filled him with determination and hope.
"Hmph, still pretending you don’t know what’s going on, are you?" Yu Buhe scoffed from his seat, his sharp eyes narrowing as he studied Mo Hao’s calm, distant look.
His frustration grew, and he suddenly stood up. "Guards!" he shouted, pointing directly at Mo Hao.
"Yes!" Several of the sect’s enforcers rushed forward, their faces full of anger.
"What are you doing? My Mo Clan has shed blood and made sacrifices on the front lines, and you treat me like this? It’s disgraceful!" Mo Hao burst out, his cold stare locked on Yu Buhe.
"Heh, with your bad reputation as a spoiled brat, our actions are nothing compared to yours," Yu Buhe shot back, sneering.
The other cultivators from the Northern Dipper Immortal Sect joined in, all looking at Mo Hao with mocking faces and clear disdain.
"If this is how it’s going to be, then I have no reason to stay in the Northern Dipper Immortal Sect!" Mo Hao said firmly. "And Yu Buhe, all of you here, remember my words—you’ll regret this day!" His icy gaze swept over Yu Buhe and the other sect members, his expression unyielding.
"You? Making us regret something? Don’t make me laugh!" Yu Buhe sneered, full of contempt.
"Guards, take him away. Send him to the Immortal Martial Continent with the others. Unless he performs extraordinary deeds, he will never step foot on Prosperous Stone Immortal Star again!" With a wave of his hand, two cultivators moved forward, grabbing Mo Hao and dragging him out of the hall.
Just wait! You’ll all regret this! Mo Hao vowed silently.
Right now, he didn’t have the strength to take on the Northern Dipper Immortal Sect. Yu Buhe was too powerful, standing at the mighty Nirvana Cleansing realm.
(Cultivation Path: Physical Body, Original Movement, Soul Refining, Spiritual Awakening, Mysterious Platform, Heavenly Origin, Inquiring Journey, Dao Comprehension, Dao Palace, Transcendence, Nirvana Peering, Nirvana Cleansing, Void Tribulation, Primal Chaos...)
With no other choice, Mo Hao had to accept his banishment to the Immortal Martial Continent.
At first, the thought unsettled him, but soon he realized that being sent there might not be such a bad thing. On the Immortal Martial Continent, far from the Northern Dipper Immortal Sect’s watchful eyes, he could use the system to quickly grow stronger.
By the time he was powerful enough to return, the Northern Dipper Immortal Sect wouldn’t be able to stop him.
Of course, the Immortal Martial Continent wasn’t without danger. The demon race had likely taken over parts of it, which made his stomach tighten just thinking about it.
But Mo Hao wasn’t without hope. He had a hundred thousand Pretentious Points at his disposal. If he used them wisely, he could face anything that came his way and rise to heights no one could imagine!
After being dragged out of the main hall, Mo Hao was taken to a teleportation array. Moments later, he found himself in a dark, underground chamber.
Around him were over a thousand others, all gathered to be sent to the Immortal Martial Continent.
Among these cultivators, three were at the Transcendence realm, about twenty were from the Dao Palace realm, and the rest were hardly worth mentioning—they were just cannon fodder.
"Hehehe!" A bulky man at the Transcendence realm spotted Mo Hao and let out a mocking laugh. "Well, well! Isn’t this Young Master Mo!"
"How has the famous heir of the Mo family sunk so low that he’s being sent to the Immortal Martial Continent?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Mo Hao gave the man a quick, dismissive look. "A nobody like you isn’t worth my time," he responded with indifference.
Mo Hao had always carried himself with a cocky, carefree attitude, a persona he had polished over a hundred years. His newly returned memories gave him a bit more self-control, but not enough to change who he truly was.
And why should he? From Mo Hao’s point of view, wasn’t the system made to fit his personality?
He needed to act arrogant!
He needed to be proud!
Anyone who dared mock or challenge him deserved to be put in their place!
"Hmph, still acting so cocky even with death right around the corner!" sneered another Transcendence realm cultivator as he stepped closer. "A spoiled brat like you, with no real battle experience—let’s see how long you last."
"I can live forever, whether you believe it or not!" Mo Hao shot back, his smile full of clear contempt.
"Tsk, he must be out of his mind," someone in the crowd muttered, shaking their head. "How can he still act so arrogant in a situation like this?"
"Just wait and see. He won’t last long," another said confidently.
The crowd whispered among themselves as they watched Mo Hao. His defiant yet battered appearance made them look at him with disdain, some already treating him like a dead man walking.
Just then, a burly man in black armor appeared out of nowhere, his voice booming like thunder. "Listen up, everyone!"
"When we’ve gathered two thousand people, the mission will begin. You’ll be sent to the Immortal Martial Continent to collect important information."
"In one month, the passage will open again, and those who bring back valuable intelligence will earn the right to return to the Prosperous Stone Immortal Star."
With those final words, the armored man disappeared as suddenly as he had appeared.
The mood in the underground chamber became tense.
Everyone understood that this journey was going to be incredibly dangerous.
But what no one on the entire Prosperous Stone Immortal Star knew was this:
The Immortal Martial Continent, abandoned by them for a million years, hadn’t just held off the demon race’s invasion—it had destroyed an army of a million demons.
...
While Mo Hao prepared to be sent to the Immortal Martial Continent, life on that distant land continued.
In the Purple Heaven Holy Land, ten days had passed since the chaotic battle had ended.
As the first light of dawn lit up the sky, Jiang Chen stepped out of his chamber.
Behind him, five soft and steady breaths could be heard.
He stopped for a moment and looked over his shoulder. Five stunning women, each with her own unique charm, lay peacefully asleep.
It was a sight that could make even emperors jealous.
A brief smile touched Jiang Chen’s lips, but he soon reminded himself: after days of indulging in such luxury, it was time to clear his mind and prepare for the challenges ahead.
With renewed determination, he walked into the courtyard and chose a peaceful spot under a huge ancient tree to begin his cultivation.
As for the task of getting rid of the remaining demonic cultivators in the Pure Frost Domain and setting up spirit-gathering formations on the Immortal Martial Continent, he wasn’t concerned. Others were handling it well.
"Time to cultivate!" Jiang Chen said to himself. With a wave of his hand, piles of spiritual plants appeared around him.
These spiritual plants had been collected from all over the Immortal Martial Continent and recently delivered to him.
Most of them weren’t top-quality, but their sheer number made up for what they lacked in rarity.
Along with the spiritual plants, Jiang Chen had also gathered a large supply of crafting materials. Among them were the key items he needed to repair the Purple Heaven Immortal Sword.
After using the spiritual plants, I’ll focus on restoring the Purple Heaven Immortal Sword, Jiang Chen thought to himself. With my current strength and the help of Nangong Wan and Shangguan Ning, who are experts in crafting, this shouldn’t be a problem.
Feeling confident, Jiang Chen started consuming the spiritual plants, using his main cultivation technique to strengthen his cultivation base step by step.
He also planned to replace his current main cultivation technique, the Purple Heaven Dark Star Heavenly Scripture. Nangong Wan had already prepared a better one for him.
So, there was no need for Jiang Chen to seek out Ji Mingxiu for the next part of the Purple Heaven Dark Star Heavenly Scripture.
All he needed was to push past his current bottleneck by raising his cultivation level. After that, he could focus on his new main cultivation technique and advance his combat power to the Transcendence realm.
Time flew by.
Before he knew it, Jiang Chen had used up all the spiritual plants.
The Burning World Red Lotus was showing clear signs of further revitalization, getting closer to reaching the Transcendence realm with every moment.
His cultivation base and aptitude improved significantly, bringing him many benefits.
Now it’s time to repair the Purple Heaven Immortal Sword! Taking a deep breath, Jiang Chen pulled out the immortal tool and placed it carefully across his lap.
What do you think?
