Evolution also requires a lot of energy. The more powerful he is, the more energy he needs to change himself. These are problems that he has solved with the aspect of Knowledge and Probability. With these two aspects, he can analyze the target to copy, and he can narrow down the changes needed to achieve evolution through Probability.

As for the matter of the large amount of energy required for evolution, it is not a problem to a limitless with cosmic energy. He can perform as much change as he wants forever and ever.

He used the aspect of Knowledge to collect information about his target. He used the information to change himself to become similar to the target. He used the aspect of Probability to narrow down which combination of changes will bring him closer to the state of the target.

As he was doing this, he stopped moving. The ocean of black energy that he had become squirmed and shifted, but he didn't hit the golden sphere anymore.

Different colors and shapes flashed in the ocean attached to the golden sphere. Occasionally, there was golden light. But it didn't last long. It only flashed.

He remained like this when Legion-3 joined him. Legion-3 asked him what was going on, so he told him. He didn't keep anything secret. He said everything that happened, including the number of world enders he had eaten on his way here.

Legion-3 didn't believe him completely. He too tried to break down the golden sphere just to be sure.

When he didn't succeed, he joined Legion-1 in analyzing the golden sphere. The two of them shared the knowledge they had analyzed and the changes they had undergone so that they wouldn't need to repeat the same mistakes.

The same thing happened when the other clones arrived. They confirmed that they couldn't break the golden sphere by force. So they decided to change themselves to fool it.

All twelve of them worked together to analyze it. It was a race against time, so they were dedicated to it.

They formed clumps of energy attached to various parts of the golden sphere. The void universe was taunting then throughout the process. But they didn't listen to it.

"Your days are numbered, Legion. You will be forgotten, and you will never exist. I will make sure of that even if you beg."

"But try begging me and see if I will change my mind. You're pragmatic, so I know that you can decide to be humble to save your life. If you show me just how much you care about your life, I might just change my mind."

They focused on their work and were rewarded with results. They made quick progress too. In less than a minute, part of their bodies had merged with the golden sphere.

It was just a thin and tiny part. But it filled them with hope of success.

They tried to attack it from that point using Infection or Entropy. But like before, nothing could work. The golden sphere refused to change, even if the source of change is a part of itself.

The only thing they could do was begin to wrest control of the Time Lock from the void universe. After all, if they gain control of the golden sphere, they won't need to worry that it will be used against them.

The task of taking control of the Time Lock is particularly easy. The void universe is too weak to put up any meaningful resistance against them.

The void universe couldn't stop a single clone from stealing an Archon from it so there was no way it could stop twelve of them working together against it. If not for the incredible resistance of the golden sphere to change, they would be able to steal control of it in less than a second.

As it is, they will need to gain control of 51% of the golden sphere before they can take control of it. Since resistance is high, they can speed up the progress of taking control of it by adding themselves to the Time Lock and slowly increasing the proportion of it that is their existence. So the aspect of Evolution is all that they can still use.

Unlike Infection, they are not forcing the target to change into them by force. They are changing themselves to become the target so that they can merge with it.

The void universe had stopped taunting them now. It had become silent because it was actually feeling fear.

It is feeling because at the rate that Legion was making progress, they would be able to take control of the Time Lock from it before it is ready to reversetime. This kind of situation has happened many times before. A special being in the void universe will stand out from the masses and reach the core of the void universe.

While other world gods are busy attacking Cosmic sources at the end of the void universe in order to become Usurpers, this special being would be busy attacking the core of the world.

Actually, anyone that can reach the core of the void universe on their own can definitely defeat the void universe when it is at its weakest. But none of them have been able to overcome the Time Lock. The void universe has always been able to revert the flow of time and restore the void universe to a calmstate. But this time it is different. This time, the void universe has produced the most powerful entity since it was created. And there isn't just one of it. There are twelve of such powerful entities.

What's more is that the twelve of them are working together. They are sharing information and using their aspects in unity.

Their cooperation has made it so that they are not just making 12 times the speed of one person. They are actually making 144 times the speed of what a single one of them is capable of. The void universe finds that to be terrifying.
