Arsil’s fist struck Reinhold’s side once more, making his body bend with the impact. As he tried to grab her, she skillfully dodged using weaving techniques and delivered an uppercut to his jaw.

“Gah!”

Blood sprayed from his mouth, only to be whipped back onto his own face by the wind, prompting him to wipe his eyes with his arm in frustration. Arsil seized the opening and unleashed a flurry of punches to his exposed torso.

“Ugh! Agh!”

Reinhold’s body was battered around like he was hit by magic blasts, yet his wounds healed almost immediately. He tried to resist and grab her, but he couldn’t even manage to catch hold of her clothing.

This can’t be happening!

Reinhold’s mind was a chaotic mix of shock and fury. He’d managed to block the first strike with ease, feeling in control. But now, the speed and strength of her attacks were overwhelming.

He couldn’t fathom that his own overconfidence had led to this. Instead, he assumed Arsil was resorting to some underhanded trick. But most humiliating was the fact that the weakest member of the Hero’s party was pummeling him, which shredded his pride.

“This… this shouldn’t be happening!”

He tried to swing his shield, but with Lin holding it in place, it was impossible. Despite the shield absorbing Lin’s energy, he couldn’t shake him off, nor could he let go of his last line of defense. Reinhold could only take the beating.

Seeing him twitch as he tried to use the shield, Arsil frowned and delivered another punch.

“You squirm like a worm. Lavyn, pin him down.”

“With pleasure.”

Lavyn appeared out of nowhere, jamming daggers into Reinhold’s joints, sinking them deep so they wouldn’t budge even with his healing. Then, Lavyn kicked him hard between the legs.

“Aaagh—?!”

“Oops, sounded like a water balloon popping.”

With his back straightened in agony, Lavyn drove another dagger along his spine, turning Reinhold into a grotesque, twisted figure. Despite his absurd pose, Arsil showed no amusement and prepared to deliver a blow to his head.
