Chapter 833: Chapter 833 Humble and Servile

Daniel Marshall generously rewarded the hourly cleaning lady.

After leaving the private club, Daniel went to buy a lot of nourishing supplements, and also bought gifts for Olivia Jenkins.

Daniel also instructed Auntie Jane to simmer bird’s nest soup and send it to Olivia.

He also made chicken soup, leaving it for Olivia to drink at night.

Suddenly, Daniel was so attentive to her, what was going on? Olivia furrowed her brows, deep in thought.

Not wanting to make Auntie Jane uncomfortable, Olivia accepted the items and told Auntie Jane not to bring anything the next day or she would refuse to accept it.

Upon leaving Jenkins Group, Auntie Jane reported Mrs. Jenkins’s exact words back to Daniel, who told Auntie Jane not to worry and continue to prepare bird’s nest soup every day and deliver it to his wife.

After becoming pregnant, Olivia rarely worked overtime and often went to the supermarket to buy fresh ingredients and fruits.

Olivia was also gradually delegating the affairs of Jenkins Group, entrusting reliable subordinates to follow up, but she still checked the progress and various reports every day.

Even though she was not managing everything herself, she still wanted the entire group firmly within her control.

At the grocery store’s self-checkout, Olivia had finished packing her selections and was about to pay when, unexpectedly, Daniel, standing behind her, helped scan the payment code for her.

Daniel also offered to carry Olivia’s bags and affectionately wrapped his arms around her waist, “Wife, let’s go home together.”

Olivia tried to remove Daniel’s arm, which was wrapped around her waist, but he instead grasped her hand tightly.

Since the supermarket’s aisle was crowded and shopping carts were moving back and forth, Olivia was concerned about being accidentally bumped into, so she didn’t pull away from Daniel but instead walked out ahead.

Even though they looked a bit strange, Daniel still carefully shielded Olivia as they walked, making sure no one hit her with their shopping carts.

Simon Howard followed behind, also carefully protecting her.

At the parking lot, Olivia could not shake off Daniel, who even lifted her into the back seat of his car and meticulously fastened her seatbelt.

Unable to tolerate it any longer, Olivia glared at Daniel with disgust, “Can’t you just stop? Why are you so annoying? I’ve said I don’t want to see you, yet you insist on coming out to disgust me!”

Daniel was not angry at all, his voice softened as he cooed at Olivia, “Wife, don’t get worked up, be careful!”

Olivia frowned, examining Daniel as if probing, “Did your brain get squeezed by a door? Can’t you understand human language?”

Daniel ignored Olivia’s scolding and spoke in a low, humble voice, “Wife, I’ll shut up now, you calm down. I’ll take you home, I’ll cook for you. Or, we could go to the villa on Pearl Lake. You also have choices, we could visit grandma, or go back to have dinner with grandpa.”

Olivia cast a resentful glance at Daniel, then turned her head to look at the night scene outside the car window.

Olivia was wondering what exactly was amiss.

Earlier in the supermarket, Daniel was clearly protective of her and her stomach. Could it be, he knew she was pregnant?

The news of her pregnancy was still a secret, and even while in Cross City, she had been careful. How did the news get out?

Daniel wanted to follow her back to the apartment, and Olivia did not stop him. It was a good opportunity to test the waters and clear the air.

Tonight was the time for a resolution; in truth, Olivia also detested this dragging, clinging manner.@@novelbin@@

Besides, in a couple of months, her belly would start to show and it would no longer be a secret, so it was essential to address her concerns now.

Olivia could have the child, but the child must belong to her only.

The moment she decided to keep the baby, Olivia did not think of Daniel. Therefore, the child had no relation to Daniel, and he did not need to be involved in any part of the child’s life.
