He Clings to Me Every Night

Chapter 838: Chapter 838 Everyone Thinks She’s Too Cruel

The next morning, Jordan Bennett called Olivia Jenkins.

There was a slight furrow between Jordan’s brows, and his expression was somewhat solemn, “Olivia, I heard that Daniel got drunk last night, and he even cried. You guys… shouldn’t be so impulsive, you should discuss things more, you need to stay calm.”

Olivia’s heart was as hard as a rock, her lightly made-up face showed not a hint of turmoil, and she spoke calmly, “I don’t think I did anything wrong. I just respected my own heart, that’s all. I thought about the life I wanted, that’s all. You should spend more time with Abigail. Don’t concern yourself with Daniel and me.” @@novelbin@@

“He… must have loved the child. It’s a pity… He must be in a lot of pain, very upset.”

A relationship fraught with complications and a life filled with deception isn’t necessarily better. Growing up in such a family and under the influence of such relationships isn’t good, either.

Who can guarantee that there won’t be any more disturbances in the future, who can assure that happiness lies ahead? Olivia just didn’t want to endure in silence, she didn’t want to be wronged.

...

Would a scheming woman like Grace Ziegler ever stop?

Wouldn’t their trio’s relationship continue in an endless cycle of ambiguity and provocation?

Why should she accommodate?

Why should she be expected to be generous and proper?

Why should she yield?

Maybe someday, a scheming woman like Grace would dare to climb over her to get ahead, so what would the status of Mrs. Marshall even mean?

Olivia didn’t care for it!

Olivia still spoke calmly and lightly, “You aren’t him, how would you know what he thinks? Even if it’s painful, it’s only temporary. Perhaps he will recover soon. He’s just angry because I don’t obey him, I won’t be docile. All he wants is control, and to him, I am rebellion, that’s why he can’t stand it.”

Jordan’s voice softened, yet his brows were tightly knit, “You guys should communicate more, Olivia, don’t shut yourself off. I don’t know what happened between you two, but I can assure you Daniel loves you, he is serious about you.”

“Jordan, I know you care about me, I don’t want to talk about him.”

“Alright then, I won’t say anymore. Let’s have dinner together another day.”

“Sure!”

Jordan said earnestly, “No matter what, we are friends. If you need anything, you can come to me, and you can talk to Abigail as well.”

Biting her lower lip, Olivia slowly said, “I know, just focus on your own things, I’m fine.”

Jordan sighed softly and hung up the phone.

Having heard that Olivia was pregnant and quietly terminated the pregnancy, Jordan was extremely shocked, finding it hard to imagine Olivia being so decisive, so ruthless.

Seeing Daniel and Olivia end up this way, Jordan felt an inexplicable sense of regret.

Otherwise, the two babies could have been born around the same time, they could have played together later, maybe they would have been sisters, or perhaps brothers and sisters, they could even become in-laws.

But they had just found out about the baby, and now it was gone, and he felt a nameless sorrow in his heart.

Hopefully, they can get over this hurdle.

Abigail Anderson had asked to have a meal together, but when they met, Abigail and Valerie Howard just stared at Olivia steadily.

Olivia lifted the corners of her mouth in a carefree, light smile, and with a calm tone, she started the conversation, “You’ve ordered so many dishes, aren’t you guys eating hot pot? I am going to eat, haha!”

Blinking her eyes in confusion, Abigail asked, “Olivia, do you really not care? But, after spending a lot of time with the baby, it has started to move now, and I feel this mother-child connection.”

While eating hot pot, Olivia said indifferently, “Don’t dwell on my business, I simply made the right choice.”
