He Clings to Me Every Night

Chapter 847: Completely Frustrated?

Chapter 847: Chapter 847: Completely Frustrated?

Olivia Jenkins slid the bag containing sandwiches and milk up her arm before trying to bend down to tie her shoelaces.

However, Olivia found that she could not bend at the waist, feeling some pain there. Her waist seemed to have stiffened as well.

With an expression of helplessness, Olivia instinctively placed her right hand on her waist and rubbed it a few times.

After about ten seconds, Olivia looked up, casually scanning her surroundings, also looking for a place to sit.

She was nearly four months into her pregnancy and the changes to her abdomen and waist were slightly more noticeable than before. Fortunately, she was wearing a loose down jacket, which concealed the fact that she was pregnant.

But her waist was starting to give her trouble; bending over was indeed quite difficult.

...

Moreover, worrying about the plight of the Jenkins Group, Olivia’s complexion did not look very good. With heavy thoughts, her beautiful brows were consistently furrowed and never relaxed, giving her an appearance that was somewhat pitiable.

After glancing around a few times, Olivia saw some steps ahead of her.

She would sit there; she should be able to tie her shoelaces then.

In a flash, Olivia carefully shuffled her feet, trying to prevent herself from tripping over and protecting herself as much as possible.

Olivia sat down, placing the milk and sandwiches aside and then attempted to tie her shoelaces.

She struggled for a while, exerting a lot of effort, but she still couldn’t manage to tie them. Just bending over was enough to make her uncomfortable for a while.

As she worried about what to do, Olivia’s mood dropped, and tears started to well up in her eyes. Suddenly, she saw Daniel Marshall kneel down in front of her, familiarly tying her shoelaces.

Immediately, Olivia’s heart was filled with mixed emotions as she stared blankly at Daniel.

Daniel stood up, his tall and straight physique like a towering tree before Olivia.

At that moment, an icy aura emanated from Daniel’s body. He looked down at Olivia with disdain, his thin lips slightly parted, his voice cold and indifferent, “Haven’t seen you for a while, how did you become so pitiful?”

Instantly, Olivia’s eyes widened, and her expression subtly changed.

The tears in Olivia’s eyes quickly dissipated, and her gaze at Daniel turned icy as she spoke with a cold and hard voice, “Thank you!”

In a moment, Daniel laughed mockingly, his eyes full of scorn as he watched Olivia, “It’s rare to hear you personally say something so humane!”

Olivia cast a cold glance in Daniel’s direction.

Choosing not to stoop to the level of scum, Olivia didn’t wish to interact with Daniel. She stood up, picked up the sandwiches and milk, and walked away.

Daniel remained rooted to the spot, his cold gaze still following Olivia’s retreating figure.

Even now, this woman was still so proud, still unwilling to ask for his help?

If the Jenkins Group went bankrupt, it would be her own doing, she would deserve it!

He shouldn’t pity her!

For some reason, Daniel felt annoyed, a nameless rage boiling in his heart.

Olivia walked slowly, occasionally supporting her waist with her hand. She sometimes rubbed her waist as she walked, indicating that she was quite uncomfortable.

Just watching Olivia’s back, Daniel felt an indefinable emotion surge in his heart, his eyes involuntarily becoming complicated.

This woman was still so stubborn, not willing to lower her head to him in the slightest.

How would she resolve the Jenkins Group’s crisis?

If she continues to worry like this, would she end up looking more haggard than she is now? Would she suffer more than death?

Could he bring her to her knees completely?

Under Daniel’s watchful eyes, it seemed Olivia was waiting for a bus as she stopped, took out the sandwich and milk, and began to eat.

Olivia had a good appetite; she seemed quite hungry.@@novelbin@@
