Damn. Michael whistled.

His strength had grown by a lot, and that was without the God Core.

If he could reach the strength he had when he utilized the God Core, then he would truly be overpowered—and likely, even that damn bastard wouldn't be able to kill him again.

Yet just as he had those thoughts, Michael froze.

He had completely missed the part where his skills were unlocked.

Darkness Manipulation, and of course, Origin Manipulation.

It felt like they were simply swirling inside his body, which made him a tad bit confused.

Therefore, to ease that confusion, Michael proceeded to simply call upon those energies. In the very next moment, a chaotic energy burst out from his body.

He didn't exactly pick and choose which to use, so he used both of them at once.

And of course, that seemed to be a mistake, since the entire bed—as well as half the ceiling—now had a hole in it.

Thankfully, he was on the topmost floor, otherwise, he would've accidentally killed a dozen people again.

But not this time, so Michael merely stood up from the bed and took a glance at his surroundings.

And it seemed like destroying the ceiling wasn't the only thing he did, as the sky seemingly cracked, surprisingly sending down rain.

Yet the moment that rain made contact with his body, it felt like a bowl of acid had been dumped on him.

Therefore, Michael winced and backed away, watching as the acidic rain poured down onto his bed and melted it.

Of course, the floor soon melted, and then the floor after that...

Yet that wasn't all. Since the fissure in the sky was pretty large, it managed to spew the acidic rain all around the city.

Most demons managed to react by shielding themselves. However, some were caught off guard and melted to death.

Well shit. Michael sighed as he sprinted into Arthur's room and sent a kick right at his foot.

"Wake up!" Michael yelled, making Arthur flinch as he shot awake.

Immediately, Arthur glared at him and proceeded to throw a punch.

And despite the massive increase in Arthur's strength, Michael had gotten stronger too. So with a mere shrug, he dodged the attack and backhanded Arthur's cheek, sending him hurtling through the hotel's walls and out of the building.

Michael chuckled at the sight, and soon, Kael ran in, puzzled.

"I believe you might've accidentally punctured the sky."

"Yeah... I might've done something like that," Michael replied with a sigh. "Is it fixable?"

Kael nodded. "It should fix itself in a couple of minutes... never mind, it's already fixed."

Michael's brow rose as he stepped back into his room and glanced at the sky.

And it was just as Kael had said. The weird fissure disappeared. What replaced it was a patch of blue sky, and even a single ray of sunshine.

Seeing the sun in this kind of area was unlikely, and yet, here he was—making it possible.

Is this place hidden by some kind of veil? Michael thought, amused.

If all it took was the shattering of a massive barrier, then he could likely find the source and destroy it all.

Therefore, Michael proceeded to try something out.

Since only using Light to use his wings didn't work, Michael proceeded to combine all three of his new affinities.

And immediately, multiple colors spurted out of his back and, in the end, combined into a single color.

White.

He managed to accidentally summon six pairs of wings. However, they felt rather easy to control—much easier than a two-pair.

Therefore, Michael soon shot into the sky at an extremely fast pace and finally approached the patch of blue sky.

Michael's eyes widened when he realized he could literally fly through it—so he did.

And of course, the moment he did, an interesting sight greeted him.

There was a black barrier surrounding the entire area below him, and as for what was above, it was a simple blue sky that didn't look ominous in the slightest.

And of course, the sun, which by now had made the black barrier's roof extremely hot—he could even see it slightly fizzling.

However, it didn't really provide much clarity to him aside from the interesting sight.

But now, he could at least run away if he wanted to, since all he had to do was pass through this and go south.

However, he did have a certain thought in mind that sent shivers down his spine.

I really did just tank some barrier juice that was basically the same as acid, huh? Michael chuckled. I guess it was surprising that it even affected me in the first place. After all, my body should be more than durable enough to withstand something as simple as acid.

Or so he thought, at least. He wasn't very keen on testing that theory at the current moment.

Nonetheless, whilst he was in the middle of his sightseeing, Arthur soon flew up and arrived beside him.

He had an amused look on his face as well, as he looked around in wonder.

Yet it seemed his curiosity got the best of him, as he suddenly flew down and touched the black barrier.

"AAAAAAH! Shit!" Arthur yelled as he pulled his hand back, which by now had been completely melted.

At least Michael had an estimate as to how hot it was now, though.

All it took was for their arm to make contact with the barrier, and it seemingly disintegrated.

Nonetheless, since he was such a good friend, Michael flew down to Arthur and delivered a flick to his forehead.

Immediately, his arm regenerated, and the moment it did, Arthur scoffed.

"I didn't ask for your help."

"Right, so place your hand back on the barrier then. I refuse the help I gave you," Michael said with a shrug. "Unless you don't have the balls."

"...?" Arthur tilted his head. "You can't just refuse the help you gave me... that's not how it works?"

"Who made the rules?" Michael asked. "I did. So unless you want to say thanks and get it over and done with, then place your hand on the black barrier."

"Yeah, I'm good," Arthur replied. "I'll just buy you a snack with my money... where's my money?"

"About that..." Michael scratched his cheek. "Let's just say I might've spent it all on hookers."

"You did what!?" Arthur's eyes widened. "Do you understand how much this currency is worth? Huh? Are you stupid?"

"Nope, but I had a fun time," Michael said, and proceeded gliding down inside the barrier again. "I'm sure you would've had a fun time too if you weren't knocked out from drinking."

"Drinking...?" Arthur muttered. "Right, I was drinking."

No you weren't. Michael sighed. I knew his brain was a little fucked up after that. I guess that's what he gets for being a fish.

Healing obviously wouldn't do much, so he just had to wait for Arthur to regain his memories the normal way.

If not, then he just had to deal with an actual fish.

Nonetheless, the two of them glided down and approached Kael, who seemed to have started cleaning up the hotel.

However, once he noticed them, Kael nodded. "Welcome back. I take it you saw the true sky?"

"I guess," Michael replied as he glanced at what was left of his bed. "But I'd rather not do that again—especially not over the place where I'm staying."

"What did you do?" Arthur asked.

"Blasted the roof off. Also might've hit the sky and destroyed it," Michael said plainly. "But yeah, nothing you need to worry about. It's just a minor inconvenience."

Or so he thought. However, his doorbell soon rang.

Kael turned around immediately and approached before swinging the door open.

Immediately, a bulky demon came into view, wearing a military uniform.

"Which one of you was responsible for committing such an act? Reveal yourselves or I shall kill each and every one of you," the demon stated, glancing at Michael, Arthur, and Kael in unison.

The demon seemed pretty strong, but it was definitely not something Michael couldn't handle. If anything, it might be a good sparring exercise for his new strength.

However, he didn't exactly want to cause too much chaos in this realm—especially since he just arrived here.

But if he couldn't do it, then someone else could.

Michael cleared his throat and suddenly pointed at Arthur.

"He did it."

"What? No I di—"

"Cease your speech, you heathen," the demon said coldly, walking into the room and pulling out a giant scythe.

"Today, you shall face the consequences for your actions."
