Chapter 105 One-On-One
In mere seconds, Feng Shen closed the distance between himself and the phoenix.
With a powerful swing of his hand, he punched the phoenix right across its beak, causing a deafening roar to echo across the sky.
The force of the blow sent the massive bird tumbling to the side, though it remained upright, its fiery feathers shimmering.
With a mighty flap of its wings, the phoenix fully emerged from the rift, and as it beat its wings, an infernal wind surged forth, obliterating everything in its path.

Buildings below crumbled and shattered under the sheer force, collapsing in a storm of destruction as the phoenix's power surged uncontrollably.
Even Feng Shen himself was caught off guard by the force, his body being blasted backward.
He crashed into the platform below, creating a massive crater as he hit the ground.
Blood spilled from Feng Shen's mouth, but instead of fear, a manic laugh bubbled from his chest. "This is too fun!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with exhilaration.
The sheer strength of this divine bird had surprised him, but it only ignited his excitement further.
Rising to his feet, Feng Shen brushed the debris and fire particles off his robe; the heat causing small sections to smolder and burn away.
The Phoenix Emperor stood in stunned silence, his mouth agape in disbelief. The demon had survived a direct hit from the phoenix's powerful wings, crashing straight from the sky, and was still alive.
A cold sweat ran down his brow as he swallowed hard, the shock clearly written across his face.
With a quick motion, the Phoenix Emperor transformed into a small red bird, his form shrinking and fluttering into the air.
'Fuck. I need to get out of here…'
The Phoenix Emperor chose to withdraw, not wanting to get caught in the middle of this clash between two powerful beings.
The wind alone was enough to throw him off balance, and he found himself struggling to maintain control, using up much of his Qi to protect himself.
Even in his bird form, the overwhelming force of the battle caused the Phoenix Emperor to lose his stability, his wings flapping desperately to keep him afloat.
The same could be said for the instructors, who had immediately fled the moment the phoenix appeared from the sky.
Fear gripped them as they witnessed the divine beast's descent, and without hesitation, they turned tail and vanished, unwilling to risk their lives in the face of such overwhelming power.
Feng Shen cracked his fingers, his eyes narrowing as he found himself locked in a one-on-one confrontation with the divine bird.
A wicked grin spread across his face as he bit his lip in anticipation.
"Oh~ this battle to the death will truly be legendary! Don't you agree, you dumb fucking bird?" Feng Shen yelled, his voice filled with mockery.
As if to answer the human, the phoenix unleashed its loudest roar yet, shaking the very air around them.
With a thunderous impact, it landed on the arena's rubble, its massive talons digging into the shattered stone.
The phoenix's fiery gaze locked directly onto the human.
Feng Shen clapped his hands together with a smirk.
"It would be rude to make you wait, wouldn't it? So let's begin!" The moment the words left his mouth, he vanished in a blur, using Shadow Step to appear directly in front of the phoenix's massive stomach.
With a swift, powerful punch, Feng Shen struck the bird with all his might.
The impact sent the phoenix stumbling backward, its wings flapping furiously to regain balance, ensuring it didn't fall.
The force of the blow pushed Feng Shen back, as he landed back on the ground, but his feet remained planted.
Without wasting a single moment, he began using Shadow Step repeatedly, moving with blinding speed as he appeared all around the phoenix.
From its eyes to its mighty feet, to its vast wings and back, Feng Shen was everywhere at once, an endless flurry of movement.
This time, instead of striking, he unleashed Dragon's Roar after Dragon's Roar, each one vibrating with immense force.
The phoenix endured each hit head-on, its massive form growing hotter with every blow. Flames licked at its fiery feathers, and soon its entire body began to radiate intense heat.
The already destroyed surroundings transformed into a blazing furnace, the temperature soaring to unbearable levels.
Just as Feng Shen was about to unleash another Dragon's Roar, the overwhelming heat hit him like a wall. The intense waves of fire caused his Qi to dry up in his throat almost instantly.
Clicking his tongue in annoyance, he quickly leapt out of the arena, landing on the outskirts.
Feng Shen wiped the sweat from his brow, irritation clear on his face. "This damn heat... what a pain in the ass," he muttered.
The phoenix's eyes followed the human instantly. With slow movement, it turned its colossal body to face the human.
Then, with a powerful flap of its wings, it sent forth waves of scorching wind, each one made of intense fire.
The waves surged forward, tall and wide, rippling with such force that even blue flames were mixed in, swirling.
Sighing, Feng Shen used Shadow Step, effortlessly dodging each wave of fire as they surged past him.
The waves, however, didn't stop… They slammed into the men and women who had been attempting to evacuate, engulfing them in searing flames.
Screams of pain resounded throughout as the fiery inferno consumed everything in its path, turning the escapees into nothing more than ashes.
"And here I thought you cared about protecting those humans," Feng Shen said, shaking his head in mock disappointment. The fake sympathy was clear in his voice.@@novelbin@@
Of course, he was perfectly fine with this outcome.
In fact, Feng Shen reveled in it.
He thrived on the chaos that ensued—the cries of agony, the despair filling the air.
To Feng Shen, it was the most beautiful sound:
"It's a shame you must die... I would've loved to make you my personal bitch!"
What do you think?
