Chapter 87 Blessed
Within the barrier, an intricate web of blue light shimmered faintly, not just containing the destruction within, but also distorting the flow of time itself.
Inside, what felt like an eternity had passed, though only moments slipped by in the outside world.@@novelbin@@
The Guardian, focused entirely on her relentless assault, paid no mind to the strange dilation of time.
Each strike, each technique she unleashed, was a calculated effort to annihilate the man before her.
Feng Shen, battered and broken, was equally oblivious to the passage of time.
His mind teetered between consciousness and the void, consumed entirely by the faint stirrings of his forbidden bloodline growing even stronger.
It reached a point where Feng Shen's regeneration became nearly instantaneous.
No matter how grievously his body was injured—whether his limbs were torn apart, his bones shattered, or his flesh incinerated—it would immediately regenerate, flawless and whole, as though the damage had never happened.
Standing tall amidst the relentless assault, a wild grin spread across Feng Shen's face:
"Ah~ Nobody can stand in my way~."
Blood no longer spilled from his wounds; it evaporated as Feng Shen's flesh restored itself faster than it could be torn apart.
His eyes burned with a frenzied light as he embraced his indestructibility.
"Yes!" Feng Shen roared, his voice echoing through the room. "Do you see it now? I'm untouchable! In the Upper Realm, no one can harm me!"
Feng Shen stood firm, unyielding…
As the Guardian's blows rained down on him.
Each strike, each wave of Qi, only proved Feng Shen's point further, feeding his growing confidence.
As even more time slipped by within the barrier, the Guardian began to notice the shift.
No matter how ferocious her techniques or devastating her blows, she could no longer fully destroy this man's body.
Each strike, no matter how refined or overwhelming, was met with instant regeneration, leaving him standing there.
Realizing the futility of continuing her relentless assault, the Guardian finally ceased her barrage of attacks.
Lowering her arms, she exhaled deeply, her chest rising and falling as she steadied her breath.
Beads of sweat glistened on the Guardian's brow, a rare sight for someone of her immense power:
"Thaal vorath zhorath al Vokahn Zahros… Draak vahzrunaar shoroth vahlaan nezh varukh, kriin zhahk vahloth shaar."
(AN: Translation: "So that is the secret of the Laughing Demon… Such a bloodline should never have existed; it is truly broken.")
The Guardian began to draw Qi from the surroundings, her body subtly glowing as she absorbed the ambient energy within the barrier.
The crystals around shimmered faintly, feeding her as she worked to restore herself.
Feng Shen let out a loud, maniacal laugh. His hand shot up to his face, pulling down the skin beneath his eye, his grin stretched wide, showing his teeth:
"No… This isn't enough—no, not nearly enough! I crave more, I need more! Power that rends the skies! Power that tears apart the very fabric of existence! Until they kneel—until everything kneels!"
Feng Shen's laughter grew even more. His hand instinctively reached for his storage ring, and in that instant, he knew exactly what he had to do next.
Without a second thought or even the slightest regard for his surroundings, he turned and strode toward the double doors.
"Vokh! Faar thuruz sahkrah vokh doth zhorath kaarn!" The Guardian called out.
(AN: Translation: "Wait! Please make sure not to forget my wish!")
Feng Shen stopped in place…
Without looking back:
"Do not worry. Your wish... will come true. The entire cultivation world will burn in agony. The heavens will tremble, and the screams of the dying will echo across all the realms. All will wither and die. No soul shall be spared. Not even the Dragon Clan. They will fall like the rest."
Without waiting for a response, Feng Shen pushed the doors open and stepped through.
With a single motion, the doors shut behind him…

Inside one of the many cultivation chambers on the Soaring Academy grounds…
Feng Shen lay back in a grand bathtub, its edges carved from rare, polished stone.
The water, warm and soothing, was thick with everything the Guardian had given him to create the Heavenly Immortal Juggernaut Physique.
Each item dissolved slowly into the water, their energies seeping into the bath, infusing the liquid with their potent properties.
Feng Shen whistled calmly as everything melted and blended together.
"Any second now…" He muttered to himself.
As Feng Shen closed his mouth…
The water, once merely infused with everything, began to transform before Feng Shen's very eyes.
It was as though the liquid had taken on a life of its own, becoming a special type of water—Divine Purity.

"Ah~ this feels too good~."
Its energy was unlike anything Feng Shen had ever felt, pure and untainted.
His skin tingled as the water soaked into his body, merging with his Qi.
Slowly, the water adhered to Feng Shen's skin, as if it were binding with his very essence, weaving itself into his flesh and bones.
Without hesitation, he submerged himself fully, sinking deeper into the bath.
Under the water, Feng Shen's eyes shot wide open, his pupils turning bloodshot as the intensity of the transformation overwhelmed him.
A searing pain, unlike anything he had ever experienced, coursed through his body, starting deep within his soul.
Feng Shen's body convulsed, a violent wave of agony tearing through him.
His soul was being torn apart, broken over and over, layer by layer.
Feng Shen's breath caught in his throat, a strangled gurgle escaping as he tried to scream, but the water filled his mouth.
His body was going through a rebirth.
But for the rebirth to take place, Feng Shen's soul had to endure this crucible, to be shattered and reforged anew.
After all, his soul was already corrupted—so much so that it had long passed the point of redemption in the eyes of the Reincarnation Cycle.
And now, as the Divine Purity water had mixed within him, an incredibly dangerous reaction unfolded.
The purity of the water clashed violently with the corruption embedded deep within Feng Shen's soul.
It was as if two opposing forces—one representing the highest order of Light and the other the deepest of Darkness—were fighting for dominance over him.
Yet, despite this tumultuous conflict, Feng Shen did not relent. His will remained unbroken.
"I will have it," he muttered, his voice barely audible beneath the gurgling water.
No amount of pain, no cost—would stop Feng Shen from obtaining what he desired.
The pain surged as the purification began to break through, piece by piece, unraveling the corruption within him. His body trembled violently, but he refused to withdraw.
Feng Shen could hear his soul crying out.
And suddenly, that very soul was cleansed...
Raising his head from the water, Feng Shen's golden eyes glowed.
His body, soaked in the Divine Purity water, was still trembling, but the sensation of purity coursing through his veins left him with a disgust he could scarcely tolerate.
Yet, in the midst of that repulsion, a twisted sense of satisfaction bloomed within Feng Shen.
He didn't care.
Feng Shen didn't mind the unbearable discomfort in his soul.
It was nothing compared to the power he had gained.
No matter the cost, Feng Shen had achieved what he wanted—the Heavenly Immortal Juggernaut Physique.
As Feng Shen slowly rose from the water, the droplets glistening off his body, he couldn't help but marvel at the sensation that surged within him.
"This is too perfect~."
Feng Shen's once-corrupted skin now shimmered with a faint golden glow.
It was subtle, yet undeniable.
Despite it being the early stages of the Heavenly Immortal Juggernaut Physique…
Feng Shen knew the potential was infinite.
"I should've gotten this physique back in my past life…" He muttered to himself.
Clenching his fists tightly, Feng Shen sighed.
Stepping out of the bath, the cool, divine water dripping off his body, leaving a trail behind him as he moved. He grabbed a towel:
"I should return to my room and cultivate; I have time before we need to meet in the courtyard."
Feng Shen wrapped the towel around his waist. He grabbed his robe, slipping it over his shoulders:
"Once my cultivation level is higher... Once I reach that point, I'll leave this pathetic place behind. But for now, I need to take advantage of the benefits it offers."
Despite wanting to leave now that he had acquired something so precious, Feng Shen knew that staying a little longer would not be a wasted opportunity.
The academy still held plenty of valuable resources he could exploit—materials and opportunities that would greatly accelerate his cultivation.
"Now that I think about it… I should pay my little maid a visit tonight. After all, she's grown a bit through the trial… which means I can improve my Spiritual Root."
A devilish smile spread across Feng Shen's face as he stepped out of the cultivation chamber, letting out a small chuckle:
"I truly am a blessed man~."
What do you think?
