Chapter 1482: Zanzan's Aftermath (Part-4)

Chapter 1482: Zanzan's Aftermath (Part-4)

Alexander listened to Lady Parthia's succinct proposal on the matter of grain intently, agreeing with most of it.

'Indeed, it has to be like that. There is little hope of rescuing the flooded area by itself. Hopefully, Tibias has enough grain or I will have to beg Pasha Farzah once more…. *Tsk*... what a pain.'

For obvious political reasons, Alexander did not want to show his empty palm to the opportunistic old man right now. Hence the slight irritation.

Thankfully, he also felt such an event was unlikely.

Tibias, especially southern Tibias was quite fertile, with the Diannu river delta even producing some patches of land that were among the most productive lands in the whole world.

So they definitely produced enough surplus to come to Alexander's aid.

"Hmmm…my lady is right. I will have a messenger sent to both as soon as possible. It should not take long for them to come if they use ships," He thus gave a satisfied smile, then happily thanking her, "Haha, it is great to have you here… your advice has made a lot of things so much easier."

And Alexander truly felt this way- among Alexander's trusted retainers, Lady Parthia was undoubtedly the most qualified here. In fact, most of the others barely had any experience in administration, if any at all.

"No… it is my pleasure my lord," Lady Parthia only humbly nodded her head, then sincerely chimed, "All these natural disasters are a test from the heavens. As mortals, we can only endure and ask for forgiveness. So I hope my lord will also learn to exercise patience."

Or in less winded words… 'Stay put and wait.'

Sensing Alexander's restlessness, this was Lady Parthia's advice.
