I couldn’t help but grin as I buried my face deeper into the pillowy valley of her chest. But then I felt two sets of sharp glares boring into me.

“Hey! Now’s not the time for this!”
“She’s right! Do you not understand how urgent this situation is?”

Reyna and Rachel grabbed my cheeks and pulled hard from both sides. Right. They had a point. Now was definitely not the time for this. I let out a small laugh and finally sat myself down properly in front of Maman, who watched the scene with an amused smile.

“Ah, Maman, do you know anything about the black dragon, Magnute?”

Even Rachel, a descendant of the destroyed Elven Kingdom, had heard of it. Surely Maman would know something too.

“Magnute, the black dragon… Where did you hear that name?”
“We’re here to take it with us.”
“That beast is sealed away.”

So, she knew about it. If it was sealed, then maybe it was the Demon King who released it later in the original story.

“Just tell us its location. I promise it won’t bring harm to the Elven Kingdom.”
“Haa… You’re making this difficult for me.”

Maman sighed, her eyes gleaming with something unmistakable. Both Rachel and Reyna shot me a look of exasperation.

Was she… flirting with me? Now? Of all times?

But, well, I didn’t have a choice. I sighed and moved closer, pulling Maman into a tight embrace.

As the ruler here, Elene (Maman) held absolute authority in the Elven Kingdom. Rachel and Reyna, knowing this, didn’t dare stop me.@@novelbin@@
