Chapter 128
Whoever designed this dungeon must have had a lot of time on their hands; the trap placements alone were exhausting.
Ahead, a massive guillotine came into view.
Rather than being a standalone mechanism, it had a colossal blade hanging from the ceiling. Walking underneath it would surely mean getting sliced clean in half.
“We’ve got to test something like this!”
So I decided to try it out myself.
The great dragon lightly leaned her head under the guillotine.@@novelbin@@
“What are you doing, you stupid lizard?”
As I cautiously placed my neck beneath it, the blade predictably came crashing down.
Before it could hit me, Reyna destroyed the blade with a spirit arrow.
BOOM!
The guillotine shattered into pieces midair. Those thick, heavy blades crumbled into nothingness.
Guess it was just a pile of scrap metal after all.
“Even if you can’t die, you scared me half to death!”
“Seriously, are you insane?”
The mother and daughter scolded me.
What’s the big deal? I was just running an experiment.
“Relax, I was just testing it. I was bored.”
“I already knew you were crazy, but seriously—where’s this Evil Dragon, anyway?”
Good question. Where could it be? Somewhere, no doubt.
Just as I briefly considered the dragon’s whereabouts, we reached the end of the corridor and entered a dome-like space.
The walls of the room shimmered faintly, seemingly emitting light on their own.
In the center of the room, a massive lizard with black scales lay sound asleep.
“Hmm, is that it?”
“It’s huge. Isn’t it on par with Hwangryong?”
Size-wise, it was certainly comparable to Hwangryong.
“Hwangryong gives off a snake-like vibe, but this one’s a proper Western-style dragon. Either way, you’ve got to strike first.”
Assuming it was on Hwangryong’s level, I’d need to assert dominance quickly and make it submit to me.
What do you think?
