Chapter 225 - 225 Be Nicer to Tingting

Chapter 225: Chapter 225 Be Nicer to Tingting

Lu Zhanxing didn’t respond to Lu Ting’s words, but he said helplessly to Su Mian, “Mom, why didn’t you let me know in advance.”

“If I told you earlier, where would the surprise be?”

Looking at her long-unseen second son, Su Mian’s eyes were filled with distress. “You’ve gotten so skinny. You’re grown up and still can’t take good care of yourself.”

“I’m an artist. I need to manage my physique.”

In front of his own mother, Lu Zhanxing relaxed quite a bit.

Su Mian disagreed, “I need to feed you well these next few days.”

Lu Zhanxing: “…”

“Right, big brother said you went on a trip?”

“I missed you, so I came to see you. Dad was also supposed to come over, but he had to go back because of some urgent business at the company,” Su Mian said with a smile. “Where’s Qiaoqiao?”

“I’m here.” Qiao Yun peeked her little head from behind Lu Zhanxing.

“My precious Qiaoqiao.”

Su Mian suddenly hugged Qiao Yun and vigorously rubbed her little head. “I missed you so much. Did you have fun?”

Qiao Yun was stiff all over, not used to Su Mian’s enthusiasm, and dryly said, “Fun.”

“That’s good to hear.”@@novelbin@@

Su Mian said, “You should go out more and not always stay at home. I’ll take you out these next few days.”

Hearing this, a self-mocking look flashed in Lu Ting’s eyes.

She had purposefully suggested the trip after Qiao Yun left home and had even intentionally chosen the farthest location in the northwest from Hai City.

However, she did not enjoy the trip.

No matter where they went, her parents always mentioned Qiao Yun.

Finally, Su Mian had made the decision to go to Hai City to find Qiao Yun.

Without Qiao Yun, she always felt uneasy, as if she had done something wrong to Qiao Yun.

The perfect opportunity for Lu Ting to establish a deep bond with her parents had been ruined by Qiao Yun.

She was supposed to have arrived a few days ago, but due to a storm delaying her flight, she only managed to arrive today.

Travelling all this way to find Qiao Yun was something very humiliating for Lu Ting.

It also made her realize the reality that, compared to her, Qiao Yun was more important to their parents.

Pains throbbed in Lu Ting’s heart. She was also their daughter, so why couldn’t they treat her a little better?

“Mom, not today.”

Lu Zhanxing rescued Qiao Yun from Su Mian’s arms, and the tension in Qiao Yun’s shoulders lessened.

“Little sister, you need to come with me later,” he said.

Su Mian asked, “Where to?”

“I have to record a music show today and want to take my sister there for fun,” he responded.

Lu Zhanxing intended to take Qiao Yun to the recording set today to let her understand her brother’s work.

“Second brother, I want to go too,” Lu Ting could no longer stand being ignored. “I’ve never been to a TV station. Can I go?”

She asked cautiously, then timidly glanced at Qiao Yun. “Otherwise, don’t worry about it. Just take Sister.”

Lu Zhanxing looked at her, his expression intense. After a moment, he asked Qiao Yun, “What do you think, little sister?”

Qiao Yun lazily glanced at Lu Ting and said indifferently, “Whatever.”

Lu Zhanxing then told Lu Ting, “Qiaoqiao agrees, and I have no objection.”

“Thank you, Second Brother.” Lu Ting’s face brightened with joy, though internally she felt deeply uncomfortable.

Why did her consent depend on Qiao Yun’s agreement!

Su Mian frowned and when it was time to leave, she found a chance to pull Lu Zhanxing aside.

“You’re too cold towards Tingting.”

Lu Zhanxing looked innocent, “Mom, aren’t you seeing it wrong? If I were cruel to Tingting, she would have been thrown out by now.”

Su Mian: “…”

“What kind of thing is that to say? Tingting’s dad has done a huge favor for our family. Even if you don’t like Tingting, don’t make it so obvious.”

“I understand.”

Lu Zhanxing appeased Su Mian perfunctorily.

He was just dissatisfied with what Lu Ting had said earlier, so he had deliberately asked Qiao Yun in front of her if she agreed.

Lu Ting shouldn’t play tricks in front of him. As long as she behaved, he wouldn’t mistreat this little sister.

Lu Zhanxing concealed another aspect of Qiao Yun’s identity. Confessing wasn’t something he should do; it should be up to Qiao Yun, he thought.

He silently hoped that Qiao Yun would come clean to the family on her own, proving at least that she valued her family.
