The waiter that was in on it rushed to the kitchen and dawned on her most panicked expression.

She was 'instructed' to say things that would make Bella come out and meet the customer that complained.

" Chef! There is a customer who is saying that the food we prepared taste bad. They are also insinuating that we are doing deceptive marketing, saying that we are using fresh ingredients but they are complaining that it's not!" The staff said everything in one breath.

Even though it was a small establishment, the kitchen was large with half a dozen people working continuously, prepping for the evening while few making orders for the customers.

Wasn't this a full on slander? After all Boss lady was in charge of ingredients while Bella was in charge of cooking, they were a dynamic duo that worked seamlessly without any issue.

" Are you sure they said that? Is that the people on table four?" Bella asked again the confirm. She remembered that table four was the furthest table in the corner of the pub, it was the same table where the people who came to make trouble occupied since it was so remote.

She knew something was wrong because she plated all the food and knew they ordered all the fine dishes meaning the bill would be substantial. Factoring both things in, she could deduce they must be trying to avoid paying!

She was sure of her and her people's skill. They might not be Michelin star standard but it was excellent quality food. Even the profit margin was minimised to give the customer best food for the money spent!

" Yes, chef! They are asking for you? What do you think we should do?" The waiter asked again. She was hesitant seeing Bella's serious expression. She didn't know if she made the right choice to side with the 'enemy'. She could only hope that she wouldn't get punished when everything was over!

" Everyone! Get back to work! Get the table ten's order. Ben, you are in charge of plating. I don't want see any messy stains, be sure to clean it up properly!" Bella didn't answer outright. She stabilized the situation first.

A kitchen was like a well oiled machine, any dust or distraction could overturn the whole place. She wanted everyone to give their best before heading out to see which dishonest customer dared to make fun of her food.

Normally, she was kind and gentle but when it comes to food, she was passionate to her core. Now that someone disrespected her craft she wanted answers. Even if they were gangsters, she wouldn't let them go easily!

After all, she had confidence in Samuel, the guardian diety of the pub. She didn't fear anyone that tried to tarnished the place or people she cherished so much!

Samuel sneaked out and caught one of the staff to ask about Kate's location. He still didn't know if she was in the store or was out doing some other work.

Her schedule was erratic because she had to take care of various shipment and make new connections whenever Bella take fancy to a new ingredient or dish.

Fortunately, the staff told him that she was upstairs. Now he needed to plan how to suprise her and give maximum 'damage'.

He thought about it while tiptoeing his way up the stairs. Patrons saw him walking nonchalantly and didn't understand who he was.

It was a common occurance to see many people trying to get close to the boss of establishment. Even Bella had several admirers as they were dubbed the two beauties around the town.

Many people would come here just to pay 'respect'. They all knew that both girls were single and hard working not to mention they looked good and had phenomenal figure.

Anyone would be happy to get close to them. Few people even took the forceful route trying to meet Kate who rarely interacted with the customers.

It wasn't always like this but since this was a pub, there were bound to be drunkard that wouldn't listen and do things that they would regret after getting sober. Kate made a point not to visit that section until something important happened.
