Chapter 1246 1246: Frightened!

He hung up the phone feeling a little lighter than before. Feeling other people's frustration might have some remarkable properties for one's own mental health!

As he left the office to grab something to eat, he heard a scream from downstairs. None of the girls were in the house so it must be Ellie who was dragged in by Steve.

He rushed downstairs to the living room only to see her sprawled on the floor while pointing at the large glass window. She wanted to say something but nothing came out even her face was deathly pale.

He turned to look at what made her like this only to see Luna standing at the poarch standing on her front legs observing the newcomer.

"Wolves! There are wolves here!" She finally regained some semblence of normalcy after seeing him but not much.

He didn't know how to explain to her when suddenly Amanda enter the room with a big plate in her hand. She already guessed what must have happened so she didn't comment on Ellie's behaviour.

She simply went to the door and opened it with a slight touch. Ellie almost fainted but the situation she imagined didn't happen. The big silver white wolf stood at the door unmoving.

Amanda looked around and found that other five wolves were missing. She would often feed them and the black wolf, knight always follows her around trying to appear more coquettish as a way to demand more share of meat from her.

"Young master? I think something's wrong." Amanda called out to Samuel.

He walked and saw there was definitely a intensity in Luna's gaze that was unusual. He activated his powers but didn't feel the wolf's presence in the vicinity. It was unlike her to venture so far away from her pack.

"What's wrong?" He tried to pet her bu she bared her teeth moving away from his touch but he could feel her animosity wasn't directed at him but something else.

"You go back inside and take care of our guest. I should go and see what's wrong with them." He asked Amanda. She could only go back with a worried expression.

Ellie who watched this exchange didn't know what to say. She didn't even believe her eyes, wasn't it a wolf? It's size was massive reaching up to Samuel's chest when it stopd on four legs not to mention it's massive head that could easily bite off any human! Why were they treating it like a house pet?

Amanda knew she would need to o explain some things to her but first she should get her away from this room. Seeing wolves so up close had frightened many people in the Estate.

As soon as Samuel reached the back garden, he saw few patrol guards coming his way. They maintained a distance seeing the wolf baring it's teeth in their direction. Only few people at rhe estate had good relationship with these creature and even fewer were allowed to get close to them. But they would always make a exception for the children.

"Young master, we were at the perimeter of the sanctuary when we heard some commotion. They said that few people tried to sneak in and the wolves fought with them. Some might be injured too."

Samuel became angry but he soon calmed himself. He just reached a coorporation with the Queen. Even someone like her would take few hours to sort of Green family's mess.

It was clear some other group found the clues leading to him but they would all scatter knowing their backer was going to lose all his support tomorrow.

Why didn't he suspect the Vishkanyas? The reason was simple, the poison should have killed everyone. Even Luna wouldn't be able to escape beside, he beat them badly enough for them to lay low for a while.

"Okay, tell them I am coming to see them. Is everyone caught?"

"The fight was over before our people arrived. There might be people hiding but after the rectification of our surveillance system, every inch of the route is being monitored."

Samuel nodded. It wasn't as easy as the first time when Talia broke in with her team. He saw Luna was listless, she must come here to look for him to help her pack.

He might not have shown his healing power to others but these animals must have felt it when he used it on them when they first got injured.

He rushed to the scene with Luna guiding him through the dense forest. He kept his speed to human level but that too was exaggerated when the monitering team saw him through their equipment. By now thry were used to his superhuman abilities.

He went there and saw his uncle was already surveying the scene. There were ten bodies laying there, some were missing limbs while others a large chuck of flesh from their bodies. The most gruesome ones even had theirneck cut off.

Samuel didn't see any blood on Luna and thought it was a small fight but it seemed like others didn't let her participate.

From Knight to Sage, they all had injuries. Some where even shot fortunately, not in the head or it would have been fatal.

"They are at the north side of the forest. No one could get close enough to see their condition but this blood trails were made by them. I think few might not survive." Daniel said grimly. He wasn't fond of these predators but time and time again they have shown their loyalty. They haven't harmed any people in the estate so he couldn't do anything about them.

Luna howled and rushed ahead frightening many people, Samuel nodded and picked up a medical kit. He need to pull out the bullets before healing them.

He could feel two of them had very weak pylse which made him distress. He had used his powers countless times but never to save someone who was on brink of death.
