Chapter 1091: Chapter 1091: Not the first time

"He is coming!" The members of the group went down on their knees as soon as they felt the presence.

One of them grabbed Karyk's hand, trying to pull him down to welcome the descendant of the Time Lord.

To his surprise, he wasn't able to move Karyk even an inch. Karyk remained standing, looking forward to meeting the descendant of the god who was chasing after him.

"What are you doing? You have to be respectful to the Young Lord! Get down on your knees if you don't want to suffer!"

They tried to convince Karyk, but he refused to kneel. He had already seen his target. There was no need to keep up the act anymore.

He freed his hand and started walking towards the distant shadowy figure.

"That fool is going to get us killed as well! We haven't even introduced him, and he is already approaching the Young Lord as a stranger? Are you really going to let this happen?"

The girl watched Karyk leave in disbelief.

With her prompting, the leader of the group also realized this was going to be a disaster. He had thought Karyk could be a useful member of their group, but he was too stubborn.

They had no choice but to put an end to Karyk.

The Leader of the group stood up and flew straight for Karyk to bring him down. Although he didn't like it, he had to kill Karyk. They had no need for a dog that refused to listen.

After reaching Karyk, he tried to stab his claw straight through the back of the young man. It was only then, he noticed that he couldn't feel his hands anymore.

Not only his hands, but he couldn't feel his feet, or even the rest of his body for that matter.

Karyk's figure appeared to be getting taller. Or rather, he was falling lower. His head fell on the ground, rolling on the sand.

Soon enough, he couldn't even see Karyk anymore as his head had rolled all the way around to see the faces of his other team members.

They looked horrified when they looked at him. But more than them, what scared him was a headless body that was lying on the ground near his original position.

He couldn't even believe his eyes as that body belonged to him. Not only the clothes, but even the physique was the same as him.

He didn't even realize when his head flew off his body. He was killed with such ease that the reality only started setting in now.

His vision had started getting blurry, but before it turned completely dark, he saw his team members die in the same way. A thin red line appeared around their throats.

Their eyes were still wide open as their head rolled on the ground, accompanied by their bodies.

His lips trembled, but he couldn't say anything. Just what kind of monster had he brought with him? It was too late to even regret his choice.

Karyk had killed the last remaining survivors of the outer region. The only survivors were trapped in his abyssal realm, waiting for his verdict about their dates.

In the entire Aether Realm, only one outsider was still living. It was the descendant of the Time Lord, the person that was possibly the biggest threat but also the greatest opportunity for Karyk.

Even if he was strong, he couldn't be as strong as the real time lord. With his help, he could definitely find the whereabouts of Aether as the man was searching for it for centuries.

Even if he couldn't find Aether, just the Bloodline of that person alone was enough. As long as he could devour the Bloodline of the young time lord, it was going to be his rebirth.

He was going to gain the abilities of time manipulation, which was just as useful for his future goals.

Soon, the young time lord came within ten meters of Karyk. Even after witnessing the deaths of his followers, he didn't stop approaching.

His left hand was empty, but his right hand dragged a giant corpse along the ground.

Karyk recognized the corpse. It was the Angel, inside which he had found the body of the Lord of Aether Beasts.@@novelbin@@

He had thought the time lord was roaming only in the inner region, but it seemed he had managed to enter the core region and return alive.

Was it because the Aether Beasts were busy with the burial ceremony in the forest? Or had they simply stopped caring about the Angel corpse ever since retrieving their master's body? He wasn't certain. The only thing he knew for sure was that he had done a good thing by retrieving the body when he did. If he had been late, the young time lord would have found it. The time lord stopped before Karyk, releasing the Angel's giant corpse.

At this proximity, Karyk could easily reach out and grab the young lord's throat. But still, he sensed that reality wasn't so simple.

Physically, they appeared to be right next to each other. Yet, a vast distance separated them, as if they were living in entirely different timelines.

He reached out his hand, and just as he expected, it passed through the young time lord's body.

"You don't look surprised. Were you expecting my presence?" Karyk asked the young man, who didn't look any older than twenty.

He thought that the man was going to reveal at least some surprise. It was impossible for him to not feel the presence of an Aetherian Beast after all. The young man was not a fool like his

followers.

"In the flow of time, is there something that I don't know?" the young man asked Karyk in response. "You might not believe it, but this is already our fiftieth meeting."

The Young Time Lord lazily answered, shaking his head in boredom. He again carried the corpse of the Angel, and started walking past Karyk, completely ignoring him.
