Horrific Shorts: Zombie Edition

Chapter 625: Story 625: Firestorm of the Undead

The Northern Resistance Stronghold was in chaos. Alarms blared as the fortress walls shook from relentless bombardment. The sky was a darkened abyss, choked with smoke and fire. General Viktor 'Bloodfang' Kruger stood at the frontlines, his muscular frame bare, his body painted with blood and war. His crimson beret sat firm, and in his right hand, his custom magnum roared, spewing death into the enemy ranks.

The Resistance soldiers scrambled for cover, their defenses crumbling under the weight of Kruger's Death Brigade. These were no ordinary zombies. They moved with tactical precision, their undead bodies enhanced by Kruger's brutal experiments.

Kruger's eyes gleamed with malice as he watched his creations tear through human flesh with mechanized efficiency. He turned to Revenant-One, the leader of his Death Brigade. "Advance. Leave no one breathing."

Revenant-One nodded, his decayed lips pulling back in a grotesque grin. With an inhuman growl, he led the undead into the heart of the stronghold, their razor-sharp claws ripping through metal and bone alike.

Explosions rocked the battlefield as Resistance fighters tried desperately to hold their ground. But their bullets did nothing. Their grenades barely slowed the tide. Kruger had perfected war itself.

Above, Sergeant Darius 'Hellhound' Rook crouched on a burning rooftop, his sniper rifle picking off survivors. Headshot. Another. Another. He grinned. "Like shooting corpses in a graveyard."

On the ground, Eva 'Black Widow' Morales danced between gunfire, her twin daggers flashing as she slit throats and carved a path through the remaining Resistance. "They should've surrendered," she sneered, wiping blood from her cheek.

Inside the command center, Commander Jensen and his last few men barricaded themselves, sweat dripping down their faces. "We're outnumbered. We have to—"

BOOM!

The steel doors exploded inward as Kruger strode through the smoke, his magnum raised. "Your fight is over, Commander."

Jensen roared and lunged, a combat knife flashing. But Kruger was faster. His fist met Jensen's face with bone-shattering force, sending him crashing into a console.

Blood dripped from Jensen's mouth as he gasped, his vision fading. "You're a demon..."

Kruger smiled coldly. "No. I am the future." He raised his magnum. One shot. Silence.

The stronghold was his. The Resistance had fallen.

As the last embers burned, Kruger turned to his undead army, his voice booming. "This world is ours to break. And we are just getting started."
