How to Steal the Protagonist's Women

Chapter 30: How to Steal the Mage's Woman [14]

"Is this how you use it?"

Luna tapped her face with her fingers while looking in the mirror.

She was applying makeup for the first time in her life.

She had always had her maids do her makeup, so this was her first time doing it herself.

Normally, she would have been in the clubroom for activities, but she had told Louis she was taking the day off.

Louis had stopped her as she was heading to the dormitory.

"Luna, how about... I stay with you?"

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"You seemed upset after what happened earlier."

"Oh, it's not that. I just want to rest today. I'll go ahead."

"Lu..."

Without waiting for Louis's response, Luna hurried to her room, took out the cosmetics she had brought, and started applying makeup.

She checked the finished look in the mirror.

"...No."

Luna went into the bathroom, washed her face, removed the makeup, and started over in front of the mirror.

She had already gone back and forth to the bathroom four times, repeating the process of applying and removing makeup.

Trying to do her own makeup, she couldn't get a look she was satisfied with.

"Sigh... I should've listened to her back then..."

Luna's maid had always nagged her to at least learn how to do simple makeup.

She liked her maid, but she couldn't understand why she needed to learn makeup.

Luna had never thought there was a reason for her to wear makeup.

There was no reason to try to look good for anyone.

She always wanted to be alone, so she thought doing something so cumbersome was a waste of time.

She checked her face in the mirror again.

"Sigh... No."

She went straight to the bathroom, washed off the makeup, and came back out.

She repeated this process several times.

Time passed, and her foundation was almost empty.

The nearly empty foundation jar snapped her back to reality.

"...Huh? Wait, now!"

Luna, who had been so absorbed in her makeup, finally looked outside.

The scenery outside the window was pitch black.

"Oh no!"

Panicked, Luna hastily applied the remaining foundation and rushed out of her room.

She ran toward the terrace.

The hallway was already lit by lanterns, illuminating only the minimum path.

Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap!

The hallway echoed with the loud sound of Luna's shoes.

If a professor caught her, she could be penalized for being unrefined.

But that didn't matter to her right now.

Luna arrived at the terrace, gasping for breath.

"Haah, haah, haah... haah..."

She panted heavily as she scanned the terrace.

Then, she spotted a figure sitting on a chair.

"Haah... Thank goodness..."

She let out a sigh of relief.

"Are you mad...? Still... I should say thank you..."

She wanted to somehow express her gratitude for what had happened today.

It had been weighing on her that she hadn't been able to apologize, missing the timing each time.

And when she met him on the terrace to apologize, she wanted to look her best, which was why she had put on makeup.

Luna carefully entered the terrace.

'...How should I apologize? How should I say thank you...?'

Now that she was on the terrace, she felt overwhelmed.

She had received help, and she was late.

'First... I'll apologize.'

As she approached Suho, she began to hear him muttering to himself.

"...Is she not coming today?"

"..."

Luna paused for a moment.

'...Of course, he's mad.'

While she hesitated, Seong Suho continued muttering.

"Did that bastard teaching assistant hurt her?"

"..."

Luna could feel her heart racing.

'...Is he worried about me? No... he doesn't like me that much...'

Luna was sure her thoughts were just a delusion.

From her perspective, Suho still disliked her.@@novelbin@@

But when she heard Suho's next words, she felt something burst inside her.

"I should catch that guy and kill him..."

The creepy assistant professor who had been bothering Luna today.

It was clear that Seong Suho was furious at him.

'Ah... Ahh...'

It was a joy she hadn't felt in a long time.

She could be certain after hearing Suho's words.

Luna cautiously spoke up.

"...Don't do that."

"Huh?"

Luna looked at Suho, not even knowing what expression she was making.

"Don't do something like that because of me..."

As she looked at Seong Suho, who had turned to face her, she was certain.

'That's right... I... this person...'

***

Luna was behind me without me realizing it.

'Did she hear me talking to myself?'

[Even if she did, there wasn't anything problematic. You can relax.]

I stood up abruptly and said, "You're late."

"...I'm sorry."

"It's fine. Let's get started."

"Okay."

This time, I took Luna to a corner and asked, "By the way, you didn't come to the clubroom today. Did something happen?"

"...I had other things to do."

Luna hesitated as she answered.

'...The atmosphere feels off today.'

[Suho.]

'Huh?'

[Luna Stadtfeld is wearing makeup. She was probably late because she was doing her makeup.]

'...Wow.'

After hearing Armonia's words, I stared intently at Luna's face.

It was too dark to see clearly.

Feeling my gaze, Luna averted her eyes and asked, "...Is there something on my face?"

"Ah, did you put on makeup?"

"Huh!? N-no! I didn't!"

Luna suddenly waved her hands, trying to deny it.

It was so unlike her usual self that it was hard to believe it was the same Luna.

'...Armonia.'

[Yes.]

'Let's raise the traits now.'

[Which one would you like to raise?]

'Let's raise Pheromones to 8.'

Checking the traits, the Pheromone level had reached 8.

There wasn't any significant reaction.

"Let's get started."

"Okay."

I watched as Luna visualized the magic circle.

About an hour passed, and we wrapped up.

As expected, Luna's magic circle practice hadn't made any progress.

But there was no disappointment on Luna's face.

Instead, she asked me something unusual.

"By the way, what kind of cologne do you use?"

"Cologne?"

"Yes. I've never used cologne before, but the scent is nice. I want to try it too."

The pheromone effect seemed to be working.

'Wow, I guess even a low level can't be underestimated. She mentioned the scent back in the clubroom too, right?'

[Yes. While it has the drawback of requiring proximity, in Luna's case, it seems to have worked to your advantage.]

There were plenty of female students in the same class, but none of them had shown any particular interest in me.

-[Pheromones]-

I really made the right choice raising that.

I tilted my head and answered Luna, "I don't use cologne or anything like that."

"...What are you talking about? I can smell it even from here."

Luna looked at me with suspicion.

She probably thought I was hiding it from her.

I explained again, "No, I really don't. I don't even have flowers in my room, let alone cologne..."

"...Really?"

"Yeah."

Luna lowered her head, deep in thought.

But I didn't give her time to think.

"Let's head back. If we're any later, the dorm supervisor will scold us."

"...Okay. Ah... I have something to say..."

"Huh?"

Luna looked up at me in the narrow space and said, "...Thank you so much for today."

"Ah, it's fine. I was just mad at that annoying guy."

"...Still, thank you."

Luna gave me a faint smile.

Seeing Luna, who usually had a stoic expression, a smile made her even more beautiful.

...She's really pretty.

I couldn't help but admire her.

Snapping out of it, I changed the subject.

"Even if I don't say it, you'll do well, but make sure to do your homework."

Luna smiled and replied, "Of course."

The next day, the classroom was buzzing when I entered.

"What's going on?"

I saw a group of female students gathered around Louis, talking about something.

-"Louis, who was it!? Tell us. Who did this to you...?"-

-"I-it's nothing. I just bumped into someone..."-

-"What are you talking about!? It's clearly a handprint."-

The female students were furious as they looked at Louis's face.

I asked a male student sitting nearby, "What's going on?"

"Ah... It seems Louis got slapped by someone."

"Wow..."

If it was a slap, it was likely a girl.

'What the hell has he been doing, that idiot?'

[I wonder if it's related to Sonya.]

'...What? Damn it!'

I almost stormed over to that idiot in anger.

Armonia calmed me down.

[Suho, calm down. It's just a guess.]

'...Sigh. If what I'm thinking is true, I'm going to kill that bastard.'

What I was thinking was that Louis had been hitting on Sonya.

'Sigh... I should've just ignored him and stayed in the clubroom yesterday.'

[That would've been difficult given the situation.]

'...True.'

As Armonia said, it wasn't a situation where I could just ignore him and stay in the clubroom.

I didn't think Sonya would fall for Louis.

Louis was definitely good-looking.

He was undoubtedly the most handsome guy in the school.

But with her sexual frustration gone, I didn't think Sonya would fall for someone like Louis.

If there had been any signs, I would've noticed them earlier.

As I sat there lost in thought, I heard Luna's voice from the front.

Luna was standing in front of my desk, staring down at me.

"Is something wrong?"

"Ah, you're here. It's nothing."

"..."

She seemed to be waiting for me to say something, but I stayed quiet.

Luna gave up and tried to change the subject.

"By the way, your main attribute is Wind, right?"

"Yeah, my main attribute is Wind."

"That's good."

"Huh? What is?"

"...It's nothing."

Luna said that and sat back down in her seat with her usual stoic expression.

'...What's with her?'

[Luna Stadtfeld's main attribute is Wind. She probably likes the idea of taking classes together.]

'Oh ho! If I don't mess up, she'll probably come around.'

Her long, silver hair.

Her curvaceous figure that even a uniform couldn't hide.

A woman who was cold to everyone and never opened her heart to anyone.

The thought that she could be mine with a little effort excited me.

'They say to cross a bridge after tapping it, so I should be careful.'

[That's a good point.]

As my expectations of having Luna grew, the teaching assistant went up to the podium and began making announcements.

"Starting today, you'll be attending classes based on your main attribute. I'll write the classroom locations for each attribute on the board."

The assistant diligently wrote the classroom locations on the board with his weak arm.

"For this class, you should go to the classroom that matches your main attribute. Don't get it confused with your sub-attribute."

The assistant finished speaking and stepped down from the podium.

The students, excited about their first mobile class, began bustling around.

Luna, sitting next to me, was staring at me intently.

It seemed like she wanted to say something.

"Luna."

"Yeah?"

But it wasn't me who spoke first.

"It's a mobile class. Let's go together."

"...Okay. But Louis, what happened to your face?"

"Ah, that... I bumped into someone... Haha..."

It was clearly a handprint.

Luna looked at it for a moment and then spoke.

"I see. Be careful."

"...Huh?"

It was such an obvious handprint that it was hard not to comment on it.

But Luna just brushed it off like that.

Louis's expression didn't look too good.

People feel embarrassed when you let things slide like that, but when you don't show any interest, it feels just as bad.

'It's like when you're shopping and the store staff talks to you, it's annoying, but when they don't, it's also annoying.'

[I don't understand that logic.]

Luna sighed.

"Sigh... Let's go."

"...Okay."

Luna sighed, got up, and left the classroom. Louis followed behind her.

The classroom was now empty.

"Guess I'll go too."

I got up, organized my desk, and headed to the Wind attribute classroom.
