I alone am the Honoured One!

Chapter 717: From Captive to Carnage [5]

Zhao Tian’s breath came out ragged and a slow exhale slipped past his lips as the last remnants of the searing pain coursed through his body.

A cold gust of wind rushed past him, stirring the tattered remains of his robes as the newly-formed appendages on his back slowly unfurled.

Massive, black-black wings stretched outward.

Rhudamanth was dumbfounded to see this ’What the hell is this?’

Zhao Tian’s wings twitched slightly and his fingers curled, his grip tightening around the hilt of his sword.

For the first time in centuries, Rhudamanth felt an unease in his chest.

His eyes narrowed and the blood surged forth, sharpening into thousands of jagged crimson spears.

They hovered in the air for a brief second, before launching toward Zhao Tian.

*swoosh*

Zhao Tian did not move and his wings twitched.

BOOM!

A deafening explosion erupted as a force tore through the battlefield.

The very air distorted, space itself rippling like the surface of a disturbed lake.

The incoming blood spears were obliterated mid-flight by the force that radiated from Zhao Tian’s wings.

Rhudamanth’s eyes widened but he was not given time to react.

In the next instant, Zhao Tian vanished.

A dark blur tore through the battlefield, and before Rhudamanth could fully process the movement, the gleam of a blade was already descending upon him.

CLANG!

The sheer force of the strike sent shockwaves rippling through the battlefield, splitting the very earth beneath them.

Rhudamanth barely managed to intercept the attack as a crimson spear appeared in his hand blocking Zhao Tian’s sword.

But the moment their weapons clashed, his arms screamed from the pressure.

The power behind Zhao Tian’s strike was too much for Rhudamanth to handle.

Rhudamanth gritted his teeth and his muscles coiled as he pushed back with all his might, but the moment he attempted to regain control, Zhao Tian moved again.

A sharp gust of wind howled and his body twisting mid-air as his knee shot forward crashing into Rhudamanth’s ribs with bone-crushing force.

CRACK!

A violent explosion of impact sent Rhudamanth hurtling backward as his body smashing through ruined pillars and debris.

The force of the blow alone caused the air to shudder, sending waves of energy rippling outward.

But Zhao Tian did not relent.

The moment Rhudamanth crashed into the ground, Zhao Tian was already above him.

His sword gleamed under the crimson-lit sky and Rhudamanth’s instincts screamed at him—move or die.

He barely managed to roll to the side as Zhao Tian’s blade cleaved down, carving a deep fissure into the battlefield.

*THOOOMMM* The ground split apart, massive cracks spiderwebbing outward as golden arcs of destructive energy surged from the impact.

Zhao Tian’s wings stretched once more and the golden arcs of energy around him crackled with an intensity that distorted the air itself.

Rhudamanth clenched his jaw, forcing himself to stand despite the damage his body had sustained.

He exhaled and the battlefield trembled as the pools of blood strewn across the ruined ground quivered.

A ripple spread outward and the world twisted.

The very air seemed to warp, distorting as an invisible force seized control of the battlefield.

The rivers of blood sprawled across the ground writhed, churning and expanding until they swallowed the very terrain beneath them.

A Domain.

Zhao Tian’s gaze narrowed, recognizing the shift in space instantly.

The battlefield was no longer just a battlefield. It was his world now.

The once-solid ground had been consumed by the sea of blood, turning the land into an endless abyss of crimson.

From within its depths, malformed creatures began to emerge as their forms shifted and distorted, neither fully solid nor entirely liquid.

Rhudamanth extended his hand.

SLAASSSH!

A dozen blood-forged spears materialized in an instant and with a flick of his wrist, they shot toward Zhao Tian at speeds that shattered the sound barrier.

Zhao Tian did not hesitate.

BOOM!

His figure blurred, reappearing mid-air as his sword carved through the incoming projectiles.

The first spear shattered, then the second, the third—but the moment they broke apart, the blood did not disperse.

Instead, it reformed, reshaping into new weapons mid-flight, twisting and accelerating toward him with relentless precision.

A tide of blades.

Zhao Tian’s gaze narrowed and his sword weaved through the storm of projectiles with fluid, razor-sharp strikes.

Each arc of his blade released a wave of destructive force, dispersing the attacks momentarily... but Rhudamanth was already moving.

WHOOSH!

Zhao Tian’s eyes snapped toward the ground just in time to see the blood beneath him coil and surge upward like a living tide.

Tendrils of crimson lashed out, forming jagged jaws that snapped at him.

He twisted his body mid-air, narrowly avoiding the tendrils.

SHHRRRAAK!

BOOM!

Zhao Tian’s form vanished.

The next instant, he was already in front of Rhudamanth as his blade descended down.

The vampire’s eyes flickered in surprise, but his reaction was instant.

A massive, rippling wall of hardened blood surged up between them—

SHHHRRRRRAK!

Zhao Tian’s sword carved through the wall like it was parchment, shattering the protective barrier into a rain of crimson shards.

GURGLLEEEE—

The very blood that had shattered reformed mid-air, twisting like a vortex before congealing into a single massive crimson claw that came crashing down toward Zhao Tian.

The attack was instantaneous.

Zhao Tian reacted just as fast.

BOOOOM!

A dark golden arc erupted from his blade, splitting the monstrous claw in two.

But even as it was destroyed, the remnants of the blood reached for him, attempting to invade his very pores, to bind itself to his skin.

Zhao Tian’s body flickered as he flashed backward, reappearing just outside the range of the creeping blood.

With a snap of Rhudamanth’s fingers, the entire battlefield began to stir.

The blood-soaked land rippled, shifting upward as though gravity itself had inverted.

The pools of crimson did not behave like liquid anymore... they crawled, climbed, and formed.

And then—

A city of blood.

Towering structures, monolithic spires of congealed vitae, formed in an instant, stretching toward the darkened skies.

Arches and bridges grew, weaving a vast labyrinth of living crimson architecture.

A battlefield designed for him.

Rhudamanth’s predatory eyes flickered toward Zhao Tian, looking at the man who stood at the heart of his domain, utterly unfazed

Zhao Tian’s gaze narrowed slightly and his anegllic wing fluttered gently...

*SLEESH*

In the next instant, he disappeared, and a splash of blood erupted in the air.

His gaze flickered and he looked at the head of Rhudamanth flying in the air.

He can see Rhudamanth’s eyes widening in shock as realization finally settled onto him ’When did he...’

*SLEESH*

Another slash, and the standing headless corpse of Rhudamanth spluttered into tiny pieces, shattering into a bloody pool.

*thud* Rhudamanth’s severed head hit the blood-soaked ground with a wet thud.

His lips twitched and his mind screamed, but there was no voice left to utter his final words.

Zhao Tian stepped forward and the moment his foot touched the ground, Rhudamanth’s domain collapsed.
